RACE TWO

ANY OLD WAY (10) will be 1st up since the DJA Series back in December where he placed in both heat rounds following 12 months on the sidelines. In the final he was sent forward to position outside the leader, worked hard before fading in the stretch. Back to this grade, this is within reach.

JEDDY R YA READY (9) added another minor to the tally last start to make it 5 from 7 in the money this campaign. The past 3 of those have seen him finish runner-up, the latest when driving hard at the wire to get within a neck of the winner AVEROSS DON. Forward to 10m, he looks ready.

MONORAIL (1) went around under mobile conditions 2 starts back and after showing some early speed took cover when mid-field to MATATOKI. Not far away at his last start, he gets the right trip.

SCORCHED (6) should be approaching a fitness peak following 4 runs back this campaign. Locked away over the longer 2647m last start, he closed strongly for the bronze. He can chime in again here.

SELECTIONS: ANY OLD WAY (10), JEDDY R YA READY (9), MONORAIL (1), SCORCHED (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ANY OLD WAY (10) to win

RACE THREE

MUMMYS BOY (6) settled in the running line last start over the mile and with the closing 800m run in sub 55 from the front, the chasers were always facing a task to make ground. Fitter for the hit-out after resuming in his 3YO term, he strikes a more suitable assignment and can overcome the gate.

SIR BULSKI (4) resumes to kick-off his 3YO season after a 2YO term that returned 4 placings in 14 attempts, 3 of those coming in his last 4 starts of the season. Grabbed in the closing stages when leading them up at his last appearance, he has opened the pipes with a sound trial and has claims.

IFYOUBELIEVE (3) was content to roll the sleeves and do it tough in the breeze last start when fighting to the line for the bronze behind WHITEHAVEN LASS. Consistent of late, he can place again.

NIKALONG HENRY (2) was wide off the track last start when pressing forward from the 2nd line in finishing 4m from the winner. Back into the main draw, the gate improvement is a big plus.

SELECTIONS: MUMMYS BOY (6), SIR BULSKI (4), IFYOUBELIEVE (3), NIKALONG HENRY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MUMMYS BOY (6) to win

RACE FOUR

SOLE AMBITION (3)
was 1st up in Qld after crossing the Tasman when landing gate 6 over the mile. Sent forward and working hard in a 27.1 opening panel, he sat in the breeze and was forced to work in the run but had too many bullets to fire. Fitter from the run, this is a step-up in class, but he looks smart.

SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE (7) will take further benefit from his latest appearance, making it 3 starts back from a 12-month break. Only 2m from the winner last start, he went to the line untested, having never seen space to offer. Grabbed in front the start prior, early position will be key.

GOTTA MOMENT (4) hit the line strongly at Tamworth 3 starts back to get within 4m of the winner. Following that with a passing lane win over the 2138m, bringing that type of form can see him in the mix.

MACEY JAYDE (8) led them up last start and after setting a solid tempo over the 2138m, drifted up the track and was banished to the trials. Earning the return with a sharp hit-out behind MATTGREGOR, she won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: SOLE AMBITION (3), SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE (7), GOTTA MOMENT (4), MACEY JAYDE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SOLE AMBITION (3) to win

RACE FIVE

TORI MAY (8) has been in great touch with a top-3 at 8 of her past 10 with 4 of those being victories. Settling in the 1x1 over the 2138m last start, she had too much to offer in the stretch in swooping home to score. With the perfect trip on offer again, she can make the closing shot a winning one.

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (1) showed early speed over this trip 2 starts back from this same gate before the pressure was applied and he was soon 3 back on the poles. Looking for space he was strong to the line when 4m from SOLE AMBITION. From the gate he can look to dictate.

THATS HOW WEROLL (9) took out a qualifier last start when pressing to the front and after securing a 2nd panel breather was able to rip home to score. Settling handy, he will be attacking the line late.

ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (6) made the most of gate 1 last start over the 2138m in taking them all the way. In the money at his past 5 in succession, the gate hurts but he has podium claims again.

SELECTIONS: TORI MAY (8), RECIPE FOR DREAMING (1), THATS HOW WEROLL (9), ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (6)
SUGGESTED BET: TORI MAY (8) to win

RACE SIX

DATALDO (9) had been runner-up in both starts since returning for his 3YO season launch, the 2nd of those a tough effort when fighting hard to the line after doing it tough in the breeze in a sizzling 1.52.4 mile. Sent to the post fav last start, he struck trouble that ended his race. Despite the 2nd line, he can bounce back here.

TIMELESS APPEAL (6) will be further tightened from her latest outing when 2nd up from a spell. Settling back in the pack from gate 11, she was strong to the line behind A RAINBOW DELIGHT. Striking trouble when resuming, she can overcome the sticky gate here to challenge.

SCHEU CREEK (5) covered some extra ground last start in pressing forward to find the breeze over the mile before fighting strongly to the line when 4m from the winner. He can be thereabouts again.

SIGNORINA JUJON (10) rolled the sleeves to do the tough stuff in the breeze over the Redcliffe sprint trip last start when only beaten a head. Fitter from the run, she has podium claims again.

SELECTIONS: DATALDO (9), TIMELESS APPEAL (6), SCHEU CREEK (5), SIGNORINA JUJON (10)
SUGGESTED BET: DATALDO (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

STREET APPEAL (5) was sent forward from gate 7 here 3 starts back when content to face the breeze. Packing too much heat, he cruised to a 4m victory in good style. 3rd in a Rising Stars Heat at his next outing, he was mid-field behind the star filly JIGGLE AND JIVE in the Final from a 2nd line gate. This looks within reach.

ANOTHER STATEMENT (10) eased back from gate 7 last start to find position over the mile. Making a late play, he was strong to the line in grabbing the silver behind A RAINBOW DELIGHT. His run the start prior was full of merit from the 2nd line and despite another 2nd line gate here, can challenge.

LEFT A HURRIKANE (1) took the trail from this gate last start when finishing 4m from the winner, the in-form WITH THE BAND. With the peg-line benefits once again, he won’t be far away.

TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (2) pressed on to take up the lamp lighting duties last start and set the tempo of a 1.52.4 mile when fading late, beaten 6m. Close up behind OUR BALOU the start prior, she is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: STREET APPEAL (5), ANOTHER STATEMENT (10), LEFT A HURRIKANE (1), TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: STREET APPEAL (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

With live chances in the previous 2 races, trainer Donny Smith is in with a shot of a treble courtesy of WITH THE BAND (7) who will be looking to stay undefeated since arriving in Aus. Sent to the front last start to dictate over the 2138m, the gate hurts, but she has shown enough to overcome the impediment.

BLACKSADANCE (4) has been freshened since his last appearance when sent forward from gate 5 to take control and score a smart all the way victory. Tough in the breeze to score here 2 starts back, the rise to the 2138m is the query at his 1st look at the AP middle distance. If settled, he can challenge.

SIRIUS VICKI (1) was a winner here 3 starts back when settling in the running line from the 2nd line and finishing best to take a narrow victory. With the options from the ace, she can chime in late.

ETERNAL PROMISE (8) has been to the track twice since returning this campaign, with both starts coming through the recent Rising Stars Series. Probing for gaps from this gate, she is an exotic hope.

SELECTIONS: WITH THE BAND (7), BLACKSADANCE (4), SIRIUS VICKI (1), ETERNAL PROMISE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: WITH THE BAND (7) to win

RACE NINE

BEE GEES BANDIT (9) hasn’t had much go his way in recent starts coupled with some tricky gates thrown in as well. Buried away from inside the 2nd line on Sat night, he charged home from a long way back over the 2138m 2 starts back. He just needs a rub of the green to take this.

TOMEARA (5) will strip fitter from his latest outing when 2nd up from a spell but he was fresh into that with over 7 weeks from his 1st up offering. Eased back from gate 7 last start to look for some luck, it was a tidy effort under the circumstances to be 9m from the winner. He can feature in this.

BEAU CISHOLM (1) eased to find running line position last start and with the runs coming, he was blocked in traffic and didn’t see open road. With the peg-line options on offer, he can turn-around some poor numbers here.

GASMONKEY (10) backs up from Fri where he was buried away. Out paced the start prior, he placed his previous 3 in succession and in this line-up can feature despite the tough gate.

SELECTIONS: BEE GEES BANDIT (9), TOMEARA (5), BEAU CISHOLM (1), GASMONKEY (10)
SUGGESTED BET: BEE GEES BANDIT (9) to win
