RACE TWO

REIGN ON ME (8) found the front in a strong Saturday night trot 2 runs back and looked to dictate. Making an error and going off stride when having the race seemingly in the bag she was subsequently banished to the trials. Returning with a stylish victory at her race return when scoring by 7m after starting from a 30m tape over this trip, With the 10m tape, she looks hard to stop.

MONORAIL (1) showed good manners here on Saturday night when stepping cleanly to the front prior to releasing the lamp lighting duties. Settling in the pocket trail with a good trip, found the line to be 6m from the winner QUIETLY SPOKEN. With good manners and the inside line, he can figure in the finish here.

LAVROS TEXAS (9) took on mobile conditions last start over the 2138m trip, settling back in the field. Making a charge in the closing stages he went within 3m of the winner MATATOKI to claim the silver. From the 10m tape, he is in the mix.

NORTHERN MUSCLE (10) had the 20m tape on Saturday night when hitting the line strongly to be 1m from the window QUIETLY SPOKEN. With no favours off the big 40m impost in this event, he can be fighting hard.

SELECTIONS:
REIGN ON ME (8), MONORAIL (1), LAVROS TEXAS (9), NORTHERN MUSCLE (10)
SUGGESTED BET: REIGN ON ME (8) to win

RACE THREE

LUCKY UNLUCKY (1) lands his best gate since arriving back in Queensland, with his past 4 coming from either gate 5 or 6. Showing some early speed before easing to a position last start, he chased hard to be 3m from the winner to claim the bronze. Only 4m away 2 starts back, he lands the peg-line benefits here and looks to get every chance.

BUMPER (8) started favourite here on Saturday night in a qualifier from this same gate. With the early moves coming, he was soon buried five back in the run he looked to be in all sorts of bother. Stripping paint off the outside rail as they swung for home, he hit the line strongly to be within 3 m of the winner. With leaders back looking more realistic here, he will be coiled and ready to strike.

JOHNNY WHITE (9) made his Queensland debut here last week when spearing out to take control over the mile. Once in front he had too many bullets to fire and held on for a smart victory. The gate hurts, but he can chime in.

ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (3) was snagged back from gate seven over the mile last start and was simply too far back in transit with the tempo sent from the front. Settling closer here he can fill exotics.

SELECTIONS: LUCKY UNLUCKY (1), BUMPER (8), JOHNNY WHITE (9), ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (3)
SUGGESTED BET: LUCKY UNLUCKY (1) to win

RACE FOUR

STREET APPEAL (12)
started from gate 2 at a short price last week. Making a mess of things early when squeezed up, he was out of play before charging home and may have even finished closer with a clear passage and better luck in transit. A smart winner 2 starts back, despite being stung with gate 12 for his indiscretions he can bounce back with venom.

LEFT A HURRIKANE (4) secured the pocket trail here 2 starts back and was best of the chasing bunch to grab the silver behind STREET APPEAL. Sent to the post as favourite last time out from inside the second line he soon found himself buried away and he couldn’t get into the contest. Despite the tricky gate he can challenge.

DATALDO (7) is knocking on the door of victory having been runner-up at 3 of his 4 starts this campaign. Making an error and being retired from the event at his only miss this campaign, he has been in great form, with some inspired performances, including defeat by an eyelash last start. Gate 7 hurts, but he is in the fight.

ANOTHER STATEMENT (7) hit the line nicely here 2 starts back when beaten 3m behind A RAINBOW DELIGHT. Again, finding the line nicely last time placing behind STREET APPEAL, look for him working home in the latter stages once again.

SELECTIONS: STREET APPEAL (12), LEFT A HURRIKANE (4), DATALDO (7), ANOTHER STATEMENT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: STREET APPEAL (2) to win

RACE FIVE

WILL THE WIZARD (1) will take good benefit from his latest start when 1st up from a freshen. Having an early look and doing some work he was only beaten 6 m behind MILLWOOD TILLY. His run 2 starts ago, back in December, was a nice effort when stepping out over the 2138m for the 1st time when grabbed in the closing strides. Back to the mile from this gate, he looks the one they have to catch.

ETERNAL PROMISE (8) has placed in 3 of 4 starts since resuming this term. From gate 9 nine last start she found the line strongly to grab the bronze when under 2m from the winner MILLWOOD TILLY. Not far away 2 back, she will get a perfect trip and be ready to strike in the stretch.
OUR MEMPHIS MAC (10) scored in a qualifier here 4 back after securing a cosy trip in the pocket trail and finishing best along the passing lane. Things haven’t gone to plan in 3 starts since, but with an economical run, look for him firing closing bullets.

NEWPORT DREAMZ (9) snagged back from a wide gate last start before really finding the line in good style to be within 5 m of the winner. Not suited the start prior, he faces a sticky gate again here but can be charging home in the latter stages.

SELECTIONS: WILL THE WIZARD (1), ETERNAL PROMISE (8), OUR MEMPHIS MAC (10), NEWPORT DREAMZ (9)
SUGGESTED BET: WILL THE WIZARD (1) to win

RACE SIX

GOONLY (9) might just have found a winning race here following 3 starts since joining the Butler stable. Easing into the running line last start he was sound to the line behind MAYWYNS BEST. Retreating from gate 5 the start prior and settling a long way back, he was finding the line in nice style. With even luck in transit, he can look to sneak away with the prize against this line-up.

MACEY JAYDE (11) can do things wrong at the start and displayed that on Saturday night when making a meal of things early and ending all hope. The start prior she was on her best behaviour and with a well-timed charge scooted home to a stylish victory. If she can get it right early here look for her swooping late.

SOMWHEREOVARAINBOW (5) will strip fitter for his return last start following a freshen. Taking on the mile he settled back in the pack and was strong to the line in the latter stages behind MAYWYNS BEST. With the right run he will be thereabouts again here.

CLARRY (7) grabbed the bronze here 2 starts back when only 3m behind CHANGE OF MIND. Last week he looked to get every chance in the trail but couldn’t get there as BIG BANG LEONARD swooped home to score. Facing a tough gate, podium claims appear best.

SELECTIONS: GOONLY (9), MACEY JAYDE (11), SOMWHEREOVARAINBOW (5), CLARRY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: GOONLY (9) to win
