RACE TWO

After knocking on the door for some time to open his Qld account, conditions suited on Wednesday night and THE IRISH EAGLE (1) landed with a dominant win. Spearing to the front, he was kept rolling in front and was too classy in a slick rate over the 1780m. He has the gate to repeat.

ANOTHER STATEMENT (8) started from the pole last start and from the pocket trail tried to take a closing shot when landing the silver behind BIG WHEELS. Not suited from gate 6 the start prior, he should be enjoying the economical trip here and be ready to stake a claim in the stretch.

TEDDY FEELS GOOD (5) got it all wrong at The Triangle at his first Qld appearance when he could not handle the track. A tough effort 2nd up behind the in-form THREE IN HEAVEN suggests he is in this.

THE GENERAL (10) took them all the way from gate 3 here 2 starts back when allowed to walk them early in front. Fading in the van last start at the mile, he can be making ground on them late.

SELECTIONS: THE IRISH EAGLE (1), ANOTHER STATEMENT (8), TEDDY FEELS GOOD (5), THE GENERAL (10)
SUGGESTED BET: THE IRISH EAGLE (1) to win

RACE THREE

The early speed of LE TISSIER (1) will be critical to his chances and he will be hoping he can recreate the early hustle he produced 2 starts back where he kept them wide at the mile and after a soft 2nd panel fought them off to score. 3rd but not suited last start at Redcliffe, he can get his chance.

CHASING THE WIND (2) was eased to the poles last start from gate 10 and was needing a slice of luck. Angled into clear running, he was sectionally super to the line to only be 4m in arrears of the winner. Retreating the start prior, he can settle closer to the action here to make a challenge.

ROCK BOTTOM (5) was tucked away against the fence last start from inside the 2nd line and when the field was broken open, he saw open space and charged home to score a smart win. Right in this.

THE ANNOUNCER (3) made the most of a depleted field to claim a smart mid-week win 3 runs back and then was game when 2nd from gate 12. He can find the front here and try to fight them off.

SELECTIONS: LE TISSIER (1), CHASING THE WIND (2), ROCK BOTTOM (5), THE ANNOUNCER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: LE TISSIER (1) to win

RACE FOUR

After facing a 2nd line gate at his past 3 in succession, the return to the front line can be the catalyst for a return to winning form for BLACKSADANCE (4). Last time he drew the front was 4 starts back when he bullied his way to the front to lay out a 1.50.9 mile. He will set the target they need to hit.

GOVEROR JUJON (7) fired off the arm to take control at the 2138m trip here last week and once in control, was never in danger, carving out a 54.6 last 800m split on the engine. Making a closing dive on L L COOL J the start prior, he is at his peak and will throw it down despite the terrible gate.

SPEECH IS SILVER (10) was too slick for them here last week when powering home in the closing stages to take a 3m victory over L L COOL J. Placed his previous 2, look for him swooping.

DEUS EX (6) was dead game after circling early to sit parked outside GOVERNOR JUJON and remain within 3m to hold 2nd through the sizzling closing 800m. Smart wins at his previous 2 starts, he is a podium hope despite the tough gate.

SELECTIONS: BLACKSADANCE (4), GOVEROR JUJON (7), SPEECH IS SILVER (10), DEUS EX (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BLACKSADANCE (4) to win

RACE FIVE

An absolute model of consistency in recent weeks where she has been the bridesmaid at her past 4 in succession, SHEZ GOT BLING (1) finds the conditions to shine. Eased from gate 6 here on Tuesday, she was strong to the line when beaten a neck. With the perfect sit, she can be ready to strike.

GOALKICKER (2) was able to overcome gate 10 to claim a smart win here 5 starts back and since that victory has placed on a further 3 occasions. Angled away from the pegs from inside the 2nd line last start, she chased hard for the bronze and from the gate will be gripping on.

GIRL FROM OZ (6) was a winner 3 starts back when sent forward from this same alley to take control and hold off the chasers. Runner-up in both starts since, she tackles her own sex for the first time in Qld and cannot be underestimated.

DANCE IN THE SUN (8) has moved to enigma territory, a beaten fav at her past 3 in succession as she looks to recapture her best form. With chance to sit in behind and have one shot, she might appreciate the change.

SELECTIONS: SHEZ GOT BLING (1), GOALKICKER (2), GIRL FROM OZ (6), DANCE IN THE SUN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEZ GOT BLING (1) to win

RACE SIX

After some strong runs that have not produced a return for the effort, MAJOR FERNCO (4) looks to have found the ideal conditions to capitalise. Luckless from gate 5 last start and forced to retreat, the closing panels made it impossible for the chasers. Gunned down the start prior, he can arrive.

OHOKA CHOPPER (5) secured the ideal trip in behind the speed here last week over the 2138m and chased home along the poles to grab 3rd to GOVERNOR JUJON. A winner at his previous 2 in succession, he might be looking to fire some early bullets to find a forward position here.

SUBTLE DELIGHT (9) was attacking the line smartly here last week to grab the silver when beaten an eyelash behind SAM IS PERFECTION. With the right trail early, he can be making a play.

SCOOB OPERATOR (6) rolled across to find a forward spot here last week and was clinging on when holding 4th behind GOVERNOR JUJON. Not far from DEUS EX the start prior, he can feature in this grade.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR FERNCO (4), OHOKA CHOPPER (5), SUBTLE DELIGHT (9), SCOOB OPERATOR (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR FERNCO (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

GOLIGHTLY (1)
was buried in the run last start after angling to the poles from the 2nd line and was out and chasing once a gap arrived to grab the silver behind GOLIGHTLY. 6m from CAPTAINS PICK the start prior after settling in the trail, he can stalk the speed here and land the closing blow.

HY VOLTAGE (2) is a newcomer to Qld joining the Graham Dwyer stable and will be stepping out in his 4YO term for the first time. An NSW Breeders Challenge heat winner 3 starts back when leading throughout from gate 6 at Menangle, he has the early speed to throw down a first up challenge.

SOHO SINATRA (4) has been transformed under the care of Donny Smith, winning both starts since joining his team. Sent to sit parked here on Tuesday, he was too strong and can feature once again.

JUDDY DOUGLAS (9) has returned from a spell in nice order and followed a first up win with a tough effort sitting outside BIG WHEELS last start. Following through early can see him in the fight.

SELECTIONS: GOLIGHTLY (1), HY VOLTAGE (2), SOHO SINATRA (4), JUDDY DOUGLAS (9)
SUGGESTED BET: GOLIGHTLY (1) to win

RACE NINE

Sent straight to the front last start at her first appearance in the Sunshine State, MISDEMEANOR (1) was never in danger when easing down to the wire with 11m to spare over her nearest rival. With the benefit of the perfect gate once again, she can look to take them all the way.

SWEET JEMMA (3) was put into the battle in the early stages last start when sent forward from the 2nd line to take control and once in front was able to fight them off for a narrow head margin. Striking trouble 2 starts back, she can settle handy to the action to throw down the challenge.

AMERICAN FLYER (8) was a winner when firing out from gate 7 to lead here 2 starts back and from the front held on to claim an effortless 8m victory. Unable to go on with it last start, she will be probing off the cosy trip.

FOND MEMORIES (5) was runner-up in this grade 2 starts back when settling in the trail and running VOODOO LOU to a 4m margin. Beaten a similar margin behind the same winner last start, she has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: MISDEMEANOR (1), SWEET JEMMA (3), AMERICAN FLYER (8), FOND MEMORIES (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-5-8

RACE TEN

It may be heading toward 2 years since the taste of victory was last savoured by JUSTABITNOISY (1), but his recent efforts suggest he is getting closer to breaking that drought. Runner-up here last week from the mobile when chasing SIR FAHRENHEIT, he should appreciate the chance off the front tape.

TAM OSHANTER (3) is the up and comer and in 2 attempts over the AP 2647m, he has been able to win on both occasions. Coming into this battle off the back of 5 successive mid-week victories, the latest when pressing on from the 20m tape to control it and hold on for a narrow win. This is a rise, but he looks up to it.

DOUG (7) faces a big ask off the 40m impost to round them up here but out to the 13 furlongs will aid his cause. 7m off the winner over the 2138m 2 starts back from a 35m tape, he was up to his old tricks with a gait break last start.

GARLAND GREENE (6) was a winner from the 20m at the 2138m journey 2 starts back and then last week got it all wrong from the mobile. His record over the long trip is not ideal but he can certainly bounce back to feature.

SELECTIONS: JUSTABITNOISY (1), TAM OSHANTER (3), DOUG (7), GARLAND GREENE (6)
SUGGESTED BET:
