RACE TWO

Placed in 10 of his 14 career starts and at his past 5 in succession, MISTER CAUTIOUS (9) is on the backup from Tuesday where he claimed a tidy 3rd in a field far stronger than he faces here. Making a strong closing challenge to be within 3m of CLASS TO THE MAX, this looks his day to capitalise.

SII SEMPRE TILLY (2) is moving closer to the moment of glory after placing in 3 of her past 4 starts in search of the maiden breaking victory. Finding the 1x1 trail from gate 5 last start, she chased hard for the silver behind WHATA SPORT. 4m away the start prior, the improved is a big plus.

BAD BOY BORIS (8) made his first race appearance last start when striking some early trouble before pressing on to take control, only to wilt over the latter stages. From the gate he will be probing.

COCOLYN (5) was on debut last start when sent forward from outside the front line to sit parked. Grinding it out to hold on for the bronze, she will take good experience from the outing.

SELECTIONS: MISTER CAUTIOUS (9), SII SEMPRE TILLY (2), BAD BOY BORIS (8), COCOLYN (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTER CAUTIOUS (9) to win

RACE THREE

SHOWEM SIMON (6)
pressed on from the 2nd line last start to find the front and was trying to fight them off only to fade over the closing stages to be 8m from the winner. Forget his previous start when striking trouble, he can press on here and from the front will give them plenty to chase.

NAUGHTYINHEAVEN (2) found her race at Redcliffe on Monday night when taking control in the early stages from gate 1 and after a steady opening half was able to fight off the challengers in claiming a 2m victory. Her record on the big oval is a concern, but from the gate can make a play.

LOOKS JUST RIGHT (5) was able to land in the perfect position here last week and when asked for the effort swept forward and grabbed victory by a head. Positioning cheaply will be key.

LORD DENZEL (1) was sent forward to sit parked last start and after the tough trip was unable to see it out over the Redcliffe sprint trip. The cosy trip off this alley gives him a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: SHOWEM SIMON (6), NAUGHTYINHEAVEN (2), LOOKS JUST RIGHT (5), LORD DENZEL (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SHOWEM SIMON (6) to win

RACE FOUR

Settling in the running line last start from this same gate, VALENCIA (2) was hitting the line in smart fashion to be 4m from the passing lane winner ANOTHER STATEMENT. Down the line the start prior behind THREE IN HEAVEN when it didn’t really work out in his favour, he looks to get his chance.

WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (5) angled down to the poles last start from the 2nd line and could have been closer than the 4m margin if the gaps opened when needed. Setting the speed over the 2138m the start prior in a qualifier and wilting late, he can get handy to make his challenge in this.

MAGGIE (6) made the most of her opportunity after settling in the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line last start to dart through and claim victory. The gate makes it tricky, but the small field helps.

MEGA STAR (1) should take benefit from his latest appearance where he was first up off a 7-week gap between starts. The inside gate is a bonus to his chances.

SELECTIONS: VALENCIA (2), WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (5), MAGGIE (6), MEGA STAR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: VALENCIA (2) to win

RACE FIVE

Breaking through for his first victory here at The Creek 3 starts back, TICK OF THE CLOCK (1) has been able to place in both starts since behind the flying IM LOKI on each occasion. Taking them all the way from gate 4 for a comfortable 7m margin in his victory, this looks right in the wheelhouse.

RANCHO MAN (8) was a winner here 4 starts back when pouncing on the poles and from the front was never in danger with a 3m margin on the line. Claiming 3rd in each of the 3 starts since that win, he was gunned down here last week when setting the speed and looks to get the cosy trip in this.

MAJOR GRANDEUR (9) settled in the 1x1 trail here last start and was trying to launch a closing raid behind MI FURIOSO TORO but couldn’t reel them in. A similar trip looks on offer here.

GETALOADATHISBRO (2) has placed at his past 2 starts, the latest when buried away from inside the 2nd line over the Redcliffe sprint trip. Settling close to the action can see him chime in.

SELECTIONS: TICK OF THE CLOCK (1), RANCHO MAN (8), MAJOR GRANDEUR (9), GETALOADATHISBRO (2)
SUGGESTED BET: TICK OF THE CLOCK (1) to win

RACE SIX

Fast approaching 12-months since he last tasted victory, OUR FRIEND (2) might just have found the right conditions to capitalise on here. Locked away from an inside 2nd line draw last time out, he never found the space when needed. He can fire the early bullets to stake his claim.

WHATELEY (9) has finished in the quinella at 6 of his past 7 starts which include completing a hat-trick of victories here last start. Powering home over the top of them after overcoming gate 6 in that victory, he can secure the ideal trip again here and be ready to produce the closing challenge.

RING THE TILL (7) put together a hat-trick of victories ere 2 starts back when sweeping home to claim an effortless 2m victory. 9m away last start in a qualifier, the gate is a stinger.

TRIOLI (3) has been hard to follow and with just 4 starts last campaign, was sent for a break only to return with a costly error. Bouncing back last start when leading throughout, she must be considered.

SELECTIONS: OUR FRIEND (2), WHATELEY (9), RING THE TILL (7), TRIOLI (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

Stripping fitter following his last start where he was resuming from a spell, LETTUCEROLL (1) should appreciate the return to the front line after facing gate 9 first up. With good early speed out of the machine, he gains the chance to look for an all the way performance and claim his 3rd AP victory.

BONZA GUY (9) was a winner here 4 starts back when able to lead throughout over the mile and claim a 3m victory. Not much went his way at his next 2 starts although he was still not too far away and then last start, he grabbed 3rd when 4m away from gate 10. That effort can see him challenge here.

BETTOR ROMANCE (3) eased from gate 5 over the mile here 2 starts back and was too far back to get warm over the closing stages. Just 3m from the subsequent impressive winner SLIP THE HUNDY at her last start, she can feature again.

ALLSTAR SEA (6) tried to take them all the way from gate 1 here last start but was collared in the closing stages by MAGGIE. The gate dents his hopes, but he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: LETTUCEROLL (1), BONZA GUY (9), BETTOR ROMANCE (3), ALLSTAR SEA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: LETTUCEROLL (1) to win

RACE NINE

This race looks a wide-open contest with plenty of different mapping scenarios potentially occurring. Off the back of a tidy last start effort, CHAINLINC (9) might just find the conditions to strike following 2 runs back from a spell. Eased from gate 7 to the rear last start, he can be much closer this time.

GLENLEDI COMMANDER (1) was a winner from this gate 3 starts back when spearing straight to the front and never appearing in danger thereafter. Holding on for 3rd at The Triangle 2 starts back, he was beaten by the gate last start. From this alley he will be throwing it down.

BARIKA (2) returns from a spell after racing super consistently last campaign that saw her return a top-3 in 8 consecutive appearances, including a last start victory. The gate helps her chances fresh.

JACCKA WALLY (5) will be making his first race appearance since departing the South Island of NZ off the back of a handy trial here at The Creek. Arriving with 1 win in 5 starts, he stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: CHAINLINC (9), GLENLEDI COMMANDER (1), BARIKA (2), JACCKA WALLY (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

ANOTHER STATEMENT (1)
claimed a qualifier last start after being hemmed away 3 back along the poles before blasting through along the passing lane once the gap presented. Runner-up the start prior when just 1m from BIG WHEELS, he looks to get the ideal trip to rinse and repeat.

KEAYANG MARVEN (6) was beaten by gate 12 last start when settled at the rear and unable to get warm over the closing stages as LE TISSIER took the prize. Claiming the bronze over this trip 2 starts back from the pocket trail, he can overcome the tough gate to make a challenge.

MUCH BETTOR (2) was sent forward to sit parked last start and despite grafting away in the run, was not too far from the winner HEMSWORTH. Firing some early bullets can see him in the mix here.

THATS HOW WEROLL (8) was eased to the poles last start and made up some late metres to grab 3rd behind GOODBOY COWBOY. Suited with a cosy fence trip, he will be searching for gaps.

SELECTIONS: ANOTHER STATEMENT (1), KEAYANG MARVEN (6), MUCH BETTOR (2), THATS HOW WEROLL (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ANOTHER STATEMENT (1) to win
