RACE TWO

Just two horses in this field can boast a victory thus far in Season ’22 with many of the combatants on much bigger winning droughts. WHATA REACTOR (7) has been her own worst enemy in recent times with her manners but has shown improvement enough to suggest she can gain redemption.

COUNTRY RUN (9) tried to take them all the way from gate 3 over the mile here last start but was out of bullets a long way from home to battle up the stretch. Gate 6 at The Triangle was his undoing the start prior and with the right trail early, he has a challenging chance.

POSER (2) changes barns to join the Amy Cargill team and will be first up from a freshen. The winner of just one race in her career, she might just be a little sharper in this.

VALKYRIE HANOVER (5) was a Redcliffe winner four starts back when finding the pocket trail and then finishing over the top. Placed just once in 21 outings on this track, she can add to that.

SELECTIONS: WHATA REACTOR (7), COUNTRY RUN (9), POSER (2), VALKYRIE HANOVER (5)
SUGGESTED BET: WHATA REACTOR (7) to win

RACE THREE

WAVEDANCER (9)
has an ordinary record here on the big deck but might just have the right conditions to contend with here to look to improve the numbers. Wide off the track last start, he was sound to the line behind TULHURST LOVER and is worth a ticket in this raffle.

WILD ABOUT TOWN (5) has not been well served from some tough gates in recent starts, the latest when wide out at Redcliffe. Snagged back to look for luck, he never warmed up as JACKEROO SHANNON took the prize. With early hustle from this gate, he can throw it down if prominent.

PAGEANTRY (1) should appreciate the cosy trip in behind the speed and be ready to chime in up the stretch after a close up 5th last start when just 3m from the winner.

OUR EDUARDO DENARIO (7) has no favours from this alley but in an open event has podium claims following his win three starts back when leading throughout.

SELECTIONS: WAVEDANCER (9), WILD ABOUT TOWN (5), PAGEANTRY (1), OUR EDUARDO DENARIO (7)
SUGGESTED BET: WAVEDANCER (9) to win

RACE FOUR

Overturning a win drought here four starts back from this same alley SQUARE DEALER (1) was beaten by the gate once again at his next two appearances. Due to line up from this same ally on Friday where he looked a strong chance, he comes up with the ace to again capitalise.

ELMS CREEK (5) made the most of the tight gate last start when taking them all the way from the pole to hold on for a neck margin. A wide gate was his undoing the start prior when retreating to the rear and with the likelihood of tempo, he can challenge.

MOLLIESMARYELLE (3) was knocking on the door with some handy performances and franked that assessment when claiming a mare’s qualifier last start. Settling close to the action she can feature.

REDS GOOD TO GO (4) has had an interrupted career and resumed last start after 12-months off the scene when 9m from the winner MAGGIE. Now with Trent Dawson, he will take further benefit.

SELECTIONS: SQUARE DEALER (1), ELMS CREEK (5), MOLLIESMARYELLE (3), REDS GOOD TO GO (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SQUARE DEALER (1) to win

RACE FIVE

With just one win in an extended period, NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (5) can look to add another to the tally. Taking the trail from gate 1 last start, she was making a closing rally to get within a neck of the winner MISTERRIODEJANEIRO. Not suited when sitting parked the start prior, this looks within reach.

MY ULTIMATE HESTON (10) eased from gate 6 at Redcliffe last start and from deep in the pack was picking a few off late to grab 3rd behind DATSINAHURRI. Runner-up to the in-form MAYWYN A JUG ORTWO three starts back, the gate hurst but he is up to challenging.

CIRCLE LINE (3) has been running some tidy races of late, the latest when grabbing the bronze and within 4m of the winner after showing some hustle out of the machine. He can feature again here.

KEAYANG SPONGE BOB (1) eased into the 1x1 trail from the six-hole last start and was within 5m of the winner in handy time. A winner here five starts back, the gate is a big help to his chances.

SELECTIONS: NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (5), MY ULTIMATE HESTON (10), CIRCLE LINE (3), KEAYANG SPONGE BOB (1)
SUGGESTED BET: NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (5) to win

RACE SIX

After two runs back from a spell in tougher company than he meets here, OFFICE BADY BOY (7) can look to overcome the horror gate. A starting error cost him last start when never a factor and two back he was asked to roll the sleeves. In a wide-open event, he can bob up.

BARBOO (8) will be requiring a slice of luck at some stage as he looks in danger of being buried in the run. Not suited at the 2138m last start when fading, he was asked to grind it out when parked the start prior. If the gaps arrive in time, he can make a play.

ELLE JAY (1) returns from a spell and lands the ideal gate fresh up with the opportunity to secure a cosy trip in behind the speed. Shut down after a pair of sub-par performances, the gate helps.

NOLONGA YOUR CHOICE (4) has early hustle and from this gate can be looking to fire one across the bow in the early stages. Winless since 2017, place chances look best.

SELECTIONS: OFFICE BADY BOY (7), BARBOO (8), ELLE JAY (1), NOLONGA YOUR CHOICE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: OFFICE BADY BOY (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

With all her Qld wins coming at The Triangle, TULHURST LOVER (9) will line up here at The Creek for just the fourth time. Sent to sit parked last start from gate 5, she was in for the fight and grafted out a determined win in the last strides. This looks an ideal opportunity to open an AP account.

LA PISTOLA (1) settled in the 1x1 trail over the Redcliffe sprint trip last start before making some closing ground to grab 3rd to TACTFILLY MIRACLE. Given a torrid trip the start prior, he is winless here at headquarters but with 3 of his 4 career wins via the passing lane, he gets the map to challenge.

GABBYS IDEAL (10) hit the line in nice style three starts back when within 2m of the winner. Not too far away in both runs since, she has podium claims in this.

MOONLIGHT BUTCHER (6) had been getting closer to a victory after placing in two of his previous three starts before charging home last start for a smart win. The gate makes the repeat a tough ask.

SELECTIONS: TULHURST LOVER (9), LA PISTOLA (1), GABBYS IDEAL (10), MOONLIGHT BUTCHER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: TULHURST LOVER (9) to win

RACE NINE

Overcoming gate 6 to win at Redcliffe four starts back and complete a hat-trick of victories, not much has been in the favour of WHATELEY (5) since. Snagging back and then against the tempo last start, positioning cheaply will be key to his chances.

SMOKE MY MOTOR (2) faces a big class drop after her three starts since arriving in Qld have all been in mare’s qualifiers. Wide gates have dented her chances in the past two where she has retreated off the arm in each and with the improved gate, she finds the right conditions to look for a breakthrough.

GOSLING IN FLIGHT (9) angled to the pegs to look for shortcuts and luck last start and received both when arriving to claim a tidy victory. With another rub of the green, he has podium claims here.

SWEET JASMINE (8) looks in danger of being hemmed away, but of the gaps arrive in time she can chime in. Claiming 3rd when attacking the line in nice style at Redcliffe last start, she will be probing.

SELECTIONS: WHATELEY (5), SMOKE MY MOTOR (2), GOSLING IN FLIGHT (9), SWEET JASMINE (8)
SUGGESTED BET:
