RACE TWO

BONNIES A ROCKIN (2)
resumes from a freshen and switches to the Jack Butler barn for her return. Snagged back from gate 6 last time out over the AP mile, she was too far back to get into the contest. Settling closer to the action from this alley, she might just sneak home with the prize.

AWHOLELOTIFORETTY (1) started from this same alley last time out and was trying to reel them in when holding 3rd behind LOVIN MISS DIXIE. Beaten by the outside 2nd line alley the start prior and striking trouble yet still within 4m of the winner, she can make the challenge here.

SOMEGIRLSOMEWHERE (7) finished over the top of them here 2 starts back to claim victory and followed that with a half-head 2nd last time. In danger of being hemmed away, she will be probing.

DESTINY JANE (3) started from inside the 2nd line last time out and although only 4m from the winner, a clearer passage would have returned a closer margin. She is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: BONNIES A ROCKIN (2), AWHOLELOTIFORETTY (1), SOMEGIRLSOMEWHERE (7), DESTINY JANE (3)
SUGGESTED BET:  Exotics 1-2-3-7

RACE THREE

BRILLIANT ART (8)
has grabbed the bronze at her past 2 starts, the latest when hemmed away 3 back against the poles after starting from inside the 2nd line. Only 3m in arrears the start prior from the same position, she is going well enough to arrive in this line up.

REGAL NIGHTSHADE (5) started from outside the 2nd line last start when angled to the pegs to go luck hunting and finishing 6m from the winner KEAYANG TARA. Buried away here 3 starts back before charging home to grab the cash, he finds conditions to throw down a challenge.

SENORA JUJON (1) faces a rise to meet some far more experienced rivals here but brings a last start victory aided by a neat steer where she weaved a passage to score. The options are a big plus.

HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (7) will be requiring a slice of luck from this alley as he looks in danger of being locked away. Strong to the line from deep in the pack last start, he will be searching for gaps.

SELECTIONS: BRILLIANT ART (8), REGAL NIGHTSHADE (5), SENORA JUJON (1), HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: BRILLIANT ART (8) to win

RACE FOUR

GASMONKEY (5)
was building towards a win after four successive placings and franked that assessment with an all the way win here 3 starts back from gate 1. With winning confidence, he has gone on with the job, winning both starts since and despite the tricky gate can land the quartet.

RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (7) comes up with the 2nd line options and has been racing well despite clashing with his stablemate. Runner-up in 2 of GASMONKEY’S victories, he then grabbed the bronze here last week behind the dictating THE IRISH EAGLE. He can look to make a challenge once again.

NEW YORKER (1) tackled the AP mile last start when 2nd up in Qld but could not make any late ground from the 1x1 trail behind SQUARE DEALER. He can feature at his first look at The Triangle.

BLUE MOON RISING (6) should appreciate the small field where he will likely retreat early and then look to utilise his finishing speed. A four-time winner here, look for him charging home.

SELECTIONS: GASMONKEY (5), RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (7), NEW YORKER (1), BLUE MOON RISING (6)
SUGGESTED BET: GASMONKEY (5) to win

RACE FIVE

SPEED OF SOUND (2) started deep into the red here last start from gate 3 where she settled with running line cover but couldn’t reel them in when finishing 4m ion arrears of the winner. Scoring a gritty victory after sitting parked here 2 runs back, she can look to bounce back with the win.

FAISELLE (5) takes her first look at The Triangle for visiting trainer Andrew Ison and brings a pair of wins from her past 3 start at Tamworth. Sitting parked last start over the 1980m trip, she was too strong when pulling clear for a big 15m margin. Despite the wide gate she can throw it down.

LARA BAY (1) has set the tempo at her past 2 starts from this same alley and been collared in the closing stages on both occasions. Again, she will be gripping on in the stretch.

RAANI (8) was sent forward last start from gate 4 and after the tough trip outside the leader was only 3m from the winner. Trailing through early can see her feature in this contest.

SELECTIONS: SPEED OF SOUND (2), FAISELLE (5), LARA BAY (1), RAANI (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SPEED OF SOUND (2) to win

RACE SIX

KOOKABRURRAPRINCESS (7)
probably should have a six-pack of successive wins, her only defeat in her past 6 attempts when making an early error and forced to work hard to catch the start car and then finishing within 2m of the winner. Despite the inside 2nd line, she can pull back and round them up.

TACTFILLY MIRACLE (2) finished runner-up from the 2nd line here last start when chasing gamely behind the flying KOOKABURRAPRINCESS. Placed in both starts prior, she can fire some early bullets to get near the action and try to launch a challenge.

BETTING BARON (6) is given no favours from this alley but has been in consistent form of late with w top-3 in 6 of his past 9 starts. He can be making some late metres to find the podium.

ALTANA BLUE (5) was a winner here 2 starts back when pressing on from gate 4 to take control over the 1780m and once in control held on for the prize. Despite the tricky gate he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: KOOKABRURRAPRINCESS (7), TACTFILLY MIRACLE (2), BETTING BARON (6), ALTANA BLUE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 7 / 2-5-6-8

RACE SEVEN

RAINBOW JET (1)
has been runner-up at his past 2 starts, the latest when trying to launch the closing raid and coming up 3m shy of the winner. Grinding it out the start prior and looking like he had them covered only to be an eyelash shy of the prize, he gets every opportunity from this alley.

SHEZ NOTORIOUS (7) fired off the arm from gate 3 last start where she was able to dictate. Getting weary in the stretch, she was able to hold on for the narrowest of victories. Placed in both starts prior, she will be tucked in behind the action ready to strike in the stretch.

SUNNY COVE (5) was sent forward from gate 6 over the 2040m last start and sitting parked could not finish it off when fading to be 9m from the winner. A return to the 1780m should help.

EXPLANATION NOTED (3) opened her account last week when able to stroll to the front and then hold off the challengers. This is a tougher ask but the winning confidence can help the cause.

SELECTIONS: RAINBOW JET (1), SHEZ NOTORIOUS (7), SUNNY COVE (5), EXPLANATION NOTED (3)
SUGGESTED BET: RAINBOW JET (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

SHES ALL STAR (5)
fired out in the early stages last start to take control from gate 2 and running even panels was fighting hard to hold 3rd behind the flying KOOKABURRAPRINCESS. Finishing over the top of them here 2 starts back, she has the tricky gate but looks up to the task.

MANY DELIGHTS (2) has been racing in solid form, claiming victory in 4 of his past 10 appearances. Sent to sit parked last start, he was able to graft out the win with a 1m margin. From the gate he can be close enough to the action to throw down another challenge.

DEVELSTIX (2) is still searching for his first win in Qld that would overturn a 14-month winless stretch. Placed in 5 of his 6 appearances here on The Triangle, he has the gate to feature.

FEELING THE POWER (8) was something licked here last week when grabbing 3rd after being bereft of luck throughout. Only 2m from the winner MANY DELIGHTS, he is right up to claiming this.

SELECTIONS: SHES ALL STAR (5), MANY DELIGHTS (2), DEVELSTIX (2), FEELING THE POWER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SHES ALL STAR (5) to win

RACE NINE

TULHURST LOVER (5)
started from gate 1 here last week and with the cosy trip in behind the speed, could not go on with it in the closing stages. A winner here 4 starts back when wide off the track, she might just be better suited wider than against the poles and finds the conditions to bounce back.

A GOOD IDEAL (2) has burnt favourite backers, going under in the red at his past 2 starts and a beaten favourite in 4 of his past 5. A winner here 4 starts back when finding the front from the two-hole and cruising home to a 9m margin. He has the gate to challenge, but can he soothe the burns?

WILD ABOUT TOWN (4) started from inside the 2nd line last start when trying to make a passing lane challenge and finishing 3m from the winner. A tough winner here 3 starts back, he can feature.

MANOFLISA (8) held the pocket trail from gate 1 last time out when finishing midfield despite being 6m from the winner. The right trail can see him chime in.

SELECTIONS: TULHURST LOVER (5), A GOOD IDEAL (2), WILD ABOUT TOWN (4), MANOFLISA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: TULHURST LOVER (5) to win

RACE TEN

MERIBEL (4)
has been runner-up at her past 3 in succession as she continues to be a source of frustration to her supporters in search of the maiden breaking win. Beaten deep in the sauce at her past 3 starts, she was content to take the trail from gate 1 last start when beaten a head. This looks her chance.

MIKIYOURSOFINE (9) did some early work until receiving cover last start and was chasing hard when holding on for the bronze behind MULLUM DOC. Afforded no favours from the 2nd line alley here, he has placed in 2 of his 4 starts here at the Peninsula and can challenge again.

ELLA UNDER FIRE (3) has not been too far away in recent outings, the latest when asked to roll the sleeves as EXPLANATION NOTED arrived. From the gate she is in the mix once again.

PRIDE AND LOUD (1) set the tempo last start from gate 2 but was unable to see it out when fading as DIEGO DELGADO took the prize. With 2 runs back both at The Creek, he can be sharper here.

SELECTIONS: MERIBEL (4), MIKIYOURSOFINE (9), ELLA UNDER FIRE (3), PRIDE AND LOUD (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MERIBEL (4) to win
