RACE TWO

THE HARRIS HAWK (8)
was well-supported to run favourite here last start over the 2040m when finishing 6m from the winner SENORA JUJON. Luckless the start prior when searching for gaps that did not open when just 4m from ROSES ARE SWEET. He looks to have found a winnable race here.

IM ROWDY (7) only has the 4 career starts to his name which included a debut win at Newcastle which came back in July of 2020. With just one start last campaign when fading over the mile, he comes into this off a tidy trial and will be searching for open road to issue a challenge.

ROCK WITH ZARA (5) resumes from a spell following a maiden breaking win at her last outing back in November where she had the early speed to lead. The wide gate stings here fresh.

EAGLES RESPONSE (9) pressed on to take control last start from gate 3 and was trying to hold them off when 3rd behind SENORA JUJON. The 2nd line stings her chances somewhat.

SELECTIONS: THE HARRIS HAWK (8), IM ROWDY (7), ROCK WITH ZARA (5), EAGLES RESPONSE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: THE HARRIS HAWK (8) to win

RACE THREE

MISTY CREEK (5)
should take good benefit from his appearance here last week when stepping out for the first time off a freshen. Sent forward to sit parked, he was in for the fight in a slick closing half and was able to hold on for the silver behind the smart winner GOELITZ. He can get forward for this.

TEE RAVELLING (2) dropped into the pocket trail last start from gate 3 but was unable to go with the winner through a slick closing half of 56.5 that included a sub 28 last panel. A winner at both starts prior when starting favourite on each occasion, he can look to make a challenge.

SHAKATIE (3) has been able to secure fence draws at her past 5 starts in succession, the latest when tackling a Saturday night mare’s contest. Back to this grade can see her in the mix.

CONTESSA JUJON (1) tried to take them all the way last start from gate 2 over the 2040m when wilting over the closing stages. A return to the 1780m will be more suitable.

SELECTIONS: MISTY CREEK (5), TEE RAVELLING (2), SHAKATIE (3), CONTESSA JUJON (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTY CREEK (5) to win

RACE FOUR

JET FORCE (7)
has been facing tough gates in recent outings, forced to retreat from wide on the track before making closing plays. Hitting the line in smart order on Monday from gate 9 behind a dictating winner, his last win was from the pocket trail, and he will be searching for the openings.

TURN TURN FLYER (6) started from inside the 2nd line here last week and with the perfect trail had the better closing speed to arrive for the prize. A beaten fav at his previous 4 in succession, he comes up with the tough gate to negotiate but can look to throw down the challenge.

FREMARKSINDI (8) started from gate 9 last start and was strong to the line in the closing stages when just 1m from the winner MANY DELIGHTS. Look for her charging home in the stretch.

CHAMPAGNE REACTOR (1) comes up with the ace again after starting from this same alley at her past 2 starts. Gunned down in each when looking to dictate, she will be gripping on.

SELECTIONS: JET FORCE (7), TURN TURN FLYER (6), FREMARKSINDI (8), CHAMPAGNE REACTOR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: JET FORCE (7) to win

RACE FIVE

FORGIVE ME (4) will be searching for her first victory of her 4YO term and should find this a shade easier than her last appearance over the AP mile. Not too far away here 2 starts back when forced to work hard in the run, she might just find the poles here and sneak home in an open contest.

STUDLEIGH WILL (9) was sent forward from the 2nd line last start to sit parked and after the tough trip was still fighting to the wire for the silver behind subsequent winner MAYWYN A JUG ORTWO. Franking that effort with an all the way win last start, he can make the challenge despite the gate.

ROCCO VARIETY (3) was eased to the poles last start and from deep in the pack did not really warm up. Runner-up from the pocket trail here 3 starts back, settling closer can see him in the mix.

JACKEROO SHANNON (2) started from inside the 2nd line over the AP mile last start and was soon buried in the run and never really got into the battle. An improved gate aids his chances.

SELECTIONS: FORGIVE ME (4), STUDLEIGH WILL (9), ROCCO VARIETY (3), JACKEROO SHANNON (2)
SUGGESTED BET: FORGIVE ME (4) to win

RACE SIX

MOLLIDOR (2)
found the 1x1 trail here 2 starts back from gate 3 before making a closing challenge to get within a head of the winner. Gunned down in front at her next start when trying to take them all the way, she was rewarded here on Monday night with a dictating win. She can look for a repeat.

JOHNROD (4) was a winner here 4 starts back when pressing on to sit parked and fighting off the challengers. Placed in 2 attempts since that victory, the latest when just a half-neck from the prize, he can slide forward from this alley and look to grind out the prize.

PATCHWORK JET (1) has placed at his past 2 starts, the latest when runner-up here on Monday. He can show some early hustle from this alley and will be close enough to the action to chime in.

DARBY BRIGHTS (7) has hit the board in 4 of her past 5 starts, including a win here 2 starts back when charging home to claim victory. With the cosy trip, look for her probing for space once again.

SELECTIONS: MOLLIDOR (2), JOHNROD (4), PATCHWORK JET (1), DARBY BRIGHTS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-7

RACE SEVEN

GO AWAY (4)
is a consistent mare that added another minor placing to her record last start to make it a top-3 in 7 of her past 8 outings. From inside the 2nd line last time out, she was angled off the inside and trying to make a closing play when 3m away. Runner-up the start prior, this is within reach.

LEFT IN THE WIND (2) was sent to the post as the favourite last start when first up off a spell for the new stable. Spending some gas in the early stages to find the front, she was a spent force a long way from home and wilted. With the good gate, she lands the opportunity to atone.

MISTER DECORUM (6) was game in defeat last time when sent forward to sit parked from the 2nd line and fighting on for the bronze. The car park gate provides no favours in this contest.

MELTON INSULTED (1) struck trouble last start with a gear issue ending her day. Buried away the start prior, she can look for the economical trip to chime in.

SELECTIONS: GO AWAY (4), LEFT IN THE WIND (2), MISTER DECORUM (6), MELTON INSULTED (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

BATTLECRAFT (3)
started from the ace here 2 starts back and keeping them rolling was on the receiving end of a first over crush as SPEED OF SOUND sat outside him and put him away. Holding on for the silver, he finds conditions to get forward and fight them off.

MISS LILY MAY (1) resumes from a spell after a 3-start campaign in October where she was unable to fire a shot. Given 2 trials in readiness for the return, the latest was behind some smart performers and with the benefit of the gate can challenge fresh in this grade.

VIEWBYTHEROCK (8) started from gate 9 last time out and from back in the pack was trying to make closing ground behind SPEED OF SOUND. With the right trail he can be making a play.

SIR MACADOR (6) has been racing consistently in the New England region and arrives with a last start 3rd behind ROSIE ROCKS. The gate stings but he looms as a place prospect.

SELECTIONS: BATTLECRAFT (3), MISS LILY MAY (1), VIEWBYTHEROCK (8), SIR MACADOR (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BATTLECRAFT (3) to win

RACE NINE

BLAZE COOPS (8)
has now had 3 runs since joining the Jack Butler stable, the latest when she was strong to the line in terrible conditions here last week. Making a three-wide move from the 800m, she loomed up and was just 2m from the winner. Conditions look ideal for her to strike.

DOLLARBILL (2) was buried in the run over the AP 2138m 3 starts back and was searching for a way to make a play behind A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE. Finding the front here last start over the sprint trip, he was fighting hard when collared in the last strides by KEAYANG TARA. He has the gate to challenge.

MONTEREY JACK (7) was rewarded for some consistent efforts where he had placed in 4 successive outings with a tough win here last week. The gate makes the chance of repeating tricky.

ASHLEE NITRO (5) is never too far away here at The Triangle and was runner-up here 4 starts back at her last appearance on this track. Look for her swooping on them in the closing stages.

SELECTIONS: BLAZE COOPS (8), DOLLARBILL (2), MONTEREY JACK (7), AASHLEE NITRO (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BLAZE COOPS (8) to win

RACE TEN

SMOOTH CASH (5)
pounced on the poles from gate 2 here last start and in driving rain was uncatchable out in front, claiming his first Qld victory at just his second appearance. The win franked the first up 2nd placing when strong to the line in the closing stages and he can look for the repeat.

FIRE AND ICE (4) has landed some tough gates in recent starts and although this is also on the sticky side, he can look to utilise his early speed. Unable to work into it last start from the 2nd line, the start prior he faded after sitting parked. He looks to find the set-up to make a challenge.

ROCKSLIDE (9) comes out of the same SMOOTH CASH race as does that same winner and four of the vanquished. Only 3m away after sitting parked here 2 starts back, he can be chiming in.

KATACHA MAN (6) eased from the wide gate last start and from deep in the pack faced a forlorn task as nothing made any ground as SMOOTH CASH controlled it in front.

SELECTIONS: SMOOTH CASH (5), FIRE AND ICE (4), ROCKSLIDE (9), KATACHA MAN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: SMOOTH CASH (5) to win
