RACE ONE

MISTIQUE (6) was again runner-up last week to make it five of seven since resuming from a spell where he has played second fiddle. Grafting it out first over as HEAVENS BABY arrive last start, he might need to do it tough again. Will today be the day?

SHE DAZZLES (8) is a Bling It On 3YO filly on debut for Shane Graham, ranking as a half-sister to the smart mare AUNTY BELLA. Qualifying to race as a 2YO back in May of 2022, she was tipped out after three qualifying trials and off the back of a tidy trial effort last week, looms large first up.

OH MY GOSH (3) steps out for her first 3YO appearance for a new stable, joining the Matty Elkins team. Placed once in six during her 2YO term, this will be easier than what she has met to date.

PINK RIVER DIAMOND (5) made an error on debut which grants her the ODM embargo. Taken back second up from the wide gate, she closed out in nice order to be 6m astern. Added experience helps.

SELECTIONS: MISTIQUE (6), SHE DAZZLES (8), OH MY GOSH (3), PINK RIVER DIAMIOND (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

NON PASSARE (5) had placed in successive starts heading into his latest appearance when settled back in the pack from outside the second line. Owning superior closing speed to descend on them to take the prize, he faces a sticky gate in the search of the repeat.

MY ULTIMATE HESTON (4) was sent to sit parked two starts back over the 2040m trip after starting from the second line which is not his caper. Saved for one closing shot last start when attacking the line smartly for the silver, he can be issuing a closing challenge again here.

GETALOADATHISGIRL (8) was trying to mount a passing lane raid last start when grabbing the silver behind VERMONT. With the right trail in the early stages, she can be making a late rally.

DALLAS COWGIRL (7) has a solitary victory in 30 appearances on this deck but will be the benefit of an economical trip from this alley. Placed in three of her past four, she can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: NON PASSARE (5), MY ULTIMATE HESTON (4), GETALOADATHISGIRL (8), DALLAS COWGIRL (7)
SUGGESTED BET: NON PASSARE (5) to win

RACE THREE

JAKKI MUN (1)
lands the best gate of his five-start career and looks to get his opportunity to capitalise. A debut winner here when finishing too strongly down the stretch, he has placed in all four starts since that win. Just a neck away last week after working hard in the run, this is his to lose.

AURORA FIG (7) started from this same alley last start where she was soon buried in the run before making nice metres in the closing stages for the silver. Strong to the line at her first Qld appearance two starts back when finishing 1m from MAJOR TRALEE, she will be probing the openings.

LUCKY JIM (6) is afforded no favours from the outside paint here but strikes opposition where he can feature. Runner-up here two starts back when 6m from the smart MADRIGAL, he is in the mix.

ULTIMATE STINGRAY (9) will be first up in Qld for Alannah Richardson after a last start Wagga victory back in August. Down the line in a recent trial, he will benefit from the hit out.

SELECTIONS: JAKKI MUN (1), AURORA FIG (7), LUCKY JIM (6), ULTIMATE STINGRAY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: JAKKI MUN (1) to win

RACE FOUR

ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (2)
started from inside the second line last start and was soon snookered in the run in the 70Final controlled in front by KANYE CRUSADER. Trying to take them all the way over the AP mile two starts back when 3m in arrears, she has the early hustle to dictate.

CAPTAINS PICK (5) has hit the board in eight of his ten here on The Triangle which includes four victories. Snagged back from a wide gate last start over the AP mile before making metres up the inside, he struck trouble in the run two starts back. Tempo will help in issuing the challenge.

LETS BLAZE (4) has a good record on this deck and returns after campaigning at The Creek in recent times. Beaten by a wide gate last start behind DESPONDENT, he can be sharper here.

SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (7) is effective off the speed and along the passing lane, two factors that will present here where he can be probing for a closing offering.

SELECTIONS: ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (2), CAPTAINS PICK (5), LETS BLAZE (4), SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (2) to win

RACE FIVE

LA PISTOLA (1)
was a Marburg winner back in November when leading throughout from gate 1. That was four starts back and with a spell in between that win and this appearance where he will be third up, he looks to have found the gate and opposition to capitalise.

LARA BAY (8) was unable to find position last start and was forced to retreat before trying to mount a closing raid, finishing midfield as JANG PEL controlled it in front. Following through in the early stages, she can look to make a play in what looks an open contest.

MOLLIDOR (5) held the pocket trail from gate 1 last start and was chasing to hold 4th as SHEZ GOT BLING arrived. Midfield the start prior, the gate dents her chances.

BEYONSKI (2) was a winner four runs back when resuming from a spell where she was able to overcome gate 5. Down the line in three runs since, the gate and this line up give her a chance.

SELECTIONS: LA PISTOLA (1), LARA BAY (8), MOLLIDOR (5), BEYONSKI (2)
SUGGESTED BET: LA PISTOLA (1) to win

RACE SIX

TIL HEAVENS ROCKN (9)
returns from a spell after making a successful debut here back in August Sent for a break immediately after that success where he was able to claim a neck margin in nice style, he has trialled in good order for the return and finds the right conditions to go 2 for 2.

RHONDA BLUE CHIP (1) struck trouble on debut before putting it together second up to open her account. Wide gates have been her undoing at her past two starts but with a return to the main draw and landing the ace, she lands the opportunity to chase career win number two.

DIPPED IN SILVER (3) was a winner here three starts back when finishing over the top to take a 3m margin. Striking trouble at his next start, he grabbed 3rd last time and can feature again here.

COCONUT CUTIE (6) is afforded no favours from the car park here but will take further benefit from her latest appearance when second up from a spell. She can be looking to fill an exotic number.

SELECTIONS: TIL HEAVENS ROCKN (9), RHONDA BLUE CHIP (1), DIPPED IN SILVER (3), COCONUT CUTIE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: TIL HEAVENS ROCKN (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

TEACHERS PET (1)
was a winner here three starts back when sent to the front from gate 3 and able to take them all the way with 15m to spare on the wire. Beaten by second line gates at her past two starts, she finds the ideal set up to pounce on the poles and dictate.

SCHEU CREEK (7) was snagged off the gate from outside the front line last start and from deep in the pack was trying to launce a closing raid when best of the rest behind EXPLANATION NOTED. With the map to be stalking the speed, he can search for the gaps to issue a closing challenge.

JANG PEL (8) is staring down a hat-trick of victories after two wins in a week when leading throughout on each occasion. They were both from gate 1, with the wide alley hurting here.

BETTING BARON (4) was sent forward from a wide gate last start and forced to work hard in the run was grafting it out in holding 3rd. He may need to do it tough once again here.

SELECTIONS: TEACHERS PET (1), SCHEU CREEK (7), JANG PEL (8), BETTING BARON (4)
SUGGESTED BET: TEACHERS PET / SCHEU CREEK (1/7) quinella/exacta

RACE EIGHT

EXPLANATION NOTED (1)
started from the ace at her last appearance over the AP mile where she had the trail behind the speed, but found the tempo too slippery as SCENE OF TERROR scored in a sub 54 mile. A tidy winner two starts back off the second line, this looks a more suitable assignment.

BETTOR KEEP ROCKING (2) will have his first start following a spell and stepping out for Brendan Barnes for the first time. A winner from inside the second line here three starts back, he was only 2m away at his next appearance behind GOZO SUNSHINE. With early hustle he can challenge fresh.

TRACER BULLET (7) was sent to sit parked from the second line here two starts back when just a head from the winner MON BEL ANGE. Fading last start, he can follow the pegs home.

SLINGIN A GUN (4) settled in the running line last time out before owning the best closing speed to claim a narrow margin. From a tricky alley he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: EXPLANATION NOTED (1), BETTOR KEEP ROCKING (2), TRACER BULLET (7), SLINGIN A GUN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: EXPLANATION NOTED (1) to win

RACE NINE

MAJOR MISCHIEF (9)
is winless in 13 months and looks to have had his chance in recent starts to amend that anomaly but has been unable to put them away. 3rd behind the dictating LEANDER last start over the AP mile, he was beaten a pimple three back by ONLYSBEST. If he remembers how to, this is winnable.

MISS MIA (1) started fav here last time out fresh up from gate 2 and after finding the front soon released over this trip, using the passing lane to be 3m in arrears of the winner. Midfield in a mare’s qualifier tow starts back, she will be tightened from her last run and has the challenging options.

ILLBEWATCHING (8) tackled a second division qualifier last start when looking for inside runs over the AP 2138. 3rd here two starts back he has the record on this track to feature.

IN CHEVRON WE TRUST (2) was a winner here three starts back when able to punch through from gate 1 and take them all the way. Wider gates have stung in both runs since, but this looks more suitable.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR MISCHIEF (9), MISS MIA (1), ILLBEWATCHING (8), IN CHEVRON WE TRUST (2)

RACE TEN

MATAI REACTOR (2)
was a winner here two starts back when overcoming the second line and powering home in the closing stages to take the prize. Unable to get warm here last time out as AFTER DARN darted through along the passing lane, he finds an improved gate to capitalise upon.

DOLLARBILL (5) started from outside the second line last start and settled in the running line was making a one closing shot up the stretch when just a neck in arrears of the winner. That was a much sharper effort compared to recent outings and he can look to build again in this line up.

MISS FERNANDEZ (9) is winless in 20 attempts on this deck with her latest attempt when sent to sit parked from gate 3 and finishing at the rear. This looks more within reach despite the tricky gate.

OUR DOLLY (1) has two wins in her past four starts, the latest coming here last time out when sent to sit parked and proving too tough. With the mapping options, she will be right in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MATAI REACTOR (2), DOLLARBILL (5), MISS FERNANDEZ (9), OUR DOLLY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MATAI REACTOR (2) to win
