RACE TWO

TED WEST (1) looked to take them all the way here 2 starts back over the mile and had to pay the price of a sub 27 opening split to do so. Fighting hard he just faded in the closing stages to be under 1.5m from the winner. Not suited off the 2nd line last start he can look to dictate here.

THE BOYS GNP (6) has the tricky gate to negotiate but this looks within reach compared to what he has been facing in recent starts. He has run into the smart LINCOLN ROAD at his past 2, including a 2nd when sitting in the breeze. With the right run in transit he can be a big threat.

LYNNSANITY (8) started from a wide gate last start and did well to chase home in the closing stages. That followed a 2nd line run at Redcliffe and with a cosy trip here can look to land in the money.

MR MEDDLE (10) was a long way back in the pack last start from gate 11 when chasing which followed a similar performance from gate 12. Settling closer in transit he is a knockout chance.

SELECTIONS: TED WEST (1), THE BOYS GNP (6), LYNNSANITY (8), MR MEDDLE (10)
SUGGESTED BET: TED WEST (1) to win

RACE THREE

ARGYLE BEACH (3) shoots for the hat-trick after wins at the mile and 2138m trip. Rolling forward to take control over the middle distance last start she packed too many guns once in front and was never in danger when scoring a 5m victory. With good speed inside she can power over the top.

CANKICKATARGET (1) has 2 wins in his past 5 starts with both wins coming when sprinting home hard in the closing stage off the tempo. Last start he was too far back from gate 12. That followed a win where he was gifted the leaders back and sprinted home for the prize. Will be closing hard.

SPIKE BROMAC (2) went straight to the front from gate 6 over the mile last start and once in control was well rated after a 27 opening split to keep them chasing. He will look to repeat in front.

MAKOA (8) has the speed to lead last start from gate 3 over the mile and taking charge was never in danger to win a qualifier. He should get a cosy trip and be probing for the gaps to sprint late.

SELECTIONS: ARGYLE BEACH (3), CANKICKATARGET (1), SPIKE BROMAC (2), MAKOA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ARGYLE BEACH (3) to win

RACE FOUR

TIWANAKU (1)
claimed the silver when he released the front over the sprint trip at Redcliffe 3 starts back which was the last time he saw the chance to lead. Taking on claiming company last start he charged home once the gaps opened and with the options from the gate looks to get his chance.

JUMPING JOLT (5) had a look for the front last start and then found the space to squeeze into the pocket trail and then finish best in the closing stages. That followed a nice effort when hitting the line in good style from well back behind MACHEASY. With even luck in transit he looms large.

IMA TOP TYCOON (6) is racing in great touch but having little luck in landing a gate. Last start he was working home strongly for 3rd to MAKOA which followed a 1m 2nd. He has place claims again here.

ONE WISE MAN (7) has no favours from this alley but is racing well enough to be in the mix. Grabbed late when looking to lead throughout last start, he was only beaten a neck and can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: TIWANAKU (1), JUMPING JOLT (5), IMA TOP TYCOON (6), ONE WISE MAN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: JUMPING JOLT (5) each-way

RACE FIVE

SHARDS HALO (2) put together successive wins here at the mile and then the 2138m trip in good style. The 2318m victory came when releasing the front from gate 1 and finishing best to score. In 3 runs since she hasn’t landed a marble but still been strong late. With the improved gate and mares only company, she gets her chance.

NOVENA ROSE (1) has been runner-up at her past 2 starts when looking to make the closing play on each occasion. 2 starts back she charged home from a long way back to get within a neck of OUTLAW FELLA and last start chased LINCOLN ROAD. She will be ready for the snipers shot.

ANNIKA MAGIC (6) was locked away on the pegs last start from an inside 2nd line gate and was always facing a task against the tempo. Mares only suits and she can be thereabouts.

ZARAS DELIGHT (8) will have options as the lone 2nd line runner if needed after she has been runner-up at her past 2 outings. Chasing hard behind ARGYLE BEACH last start she can be chiming into the money late here.

SELECTIONS: SHARDS HALO (2), NOVENA ROSE (1), ANNIKA MAGIC (6), ZARAS DELIGHT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SHARDS HALO (2) to win

RACE SIX

COLT THIRTY ONE (6)
resumes from a freshen after his last start Qld Cup victory where he held on to score by a nose hair after a tough run in the breeze. Unbeaten in 4 starts since returning as a 4YO, he faces a tricky gate but it is hard to see him being beat in this as he strengthens his Chariots preparation.

MACH ALERT (4) made the most of mid-week company here on Tues when spearing out from gate 4 to find the front over the 2138m trip and once in control was never in danger, running some slick fractions in the process. He can look to fire the first shot here and will be in for the fight.

BODHI TREE (5) found conditions to suit last start and from gate1 had little problem in leading and then with comfortable early splits was able to rip home in a sub 27 closer. He can podium here.

GLENFERRIE HOOD (9) was a beaten fav last start after finding himself too far back in the pack and facing an impossible task in a sub 55 last 800m from the front. He can be chiming in late here.

SELECTIONS: COLT THIRTY ONE (6), MACH ALERT (4), BODHI TREE (5), GLENFERRIE HOOD (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 6 / 4-5-9

RACE SEVEN

LISA LINCOLN (3) was a winner 3 starts back when finding the front over the mile she packed too many guns to score a comfortable 5m victory. Not disgraced when grabbed late after setting a slick tempo by the flying LINCOLN ROAD, she can take control here and with limited pressure gets her chance.

JOSSIE JAMES (7) started from gate 12 last start and as a pronounced red figure fav couldn’t pick up the leader and winner over the 2138m and had to settle for 3rd. That followed a similar run when a beaten fav and locked in traffic. With limited mid-race tempo looking a chance here, she will need some luck.

KOTARE KASAI (4) worked across to find the breeze and worked hard in the run last start when 6m from MAKOA in a tidy effort. Hitting the line strongly here 3 starts back she is in the mix.

MIGHT AND MAIN (8) will need a slice of luck from this gate but with a cosy trip can be looking for the gaps to issue a closing challenge. Buried away last start she charged home and can repeat.

SELECTIONS: LISA LINCOLN (3), JOSSIE JAMES (7), KOTARE KASAI (4), MIGHT AND MAIN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: LISA LINCOLN (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

LENNY THE LEGEND (10)
did his share of early work last start which is not normally his caper over the 2138m trip yet he wasn’t far away in the closing stages. A winner from the pocket trail here 3 starts back he hit the line hard at his next start. With good front-end tempo he can power home.

LUCIFERS LEGEND (9) will be further tightened from his latest outing when 2nd up from a break. Taking on a mid-week conditioned event he was closing out in good style when 4m from OUTLAW FELLA. His return run was a tidy effort and he can be working home hard here.

PATERNITY SUIT (3) made the most of the return to the mile last start with a nice win after finishing down the line over the 2138m in successive starts. He will be close to the action and can podium.

EVERYTHING (1) was locked away on the pegs last start and was charging along the passing lane to get within a nose of the winner FRANCO TARIQ. He will be thereabouts from the gate.

SELECTIONS: LENNY THE LEGEND (10), LUCIFERS LEGEND (9), PATERNITY SUIT (3), EVERYTHING (1)
SUGGESTED BET: LENNY THE LEGEND (10) each-way

RACE NINE

NEEDLE (3)
was wide and working hard last start and lost no admirers when a game 2nd to LAVROS TEXAS who set a slick pace from the front that was not far off track record time. She gets back to the tapes here and off the front line which is a huge plus and she looks too sharp for them here.

MISTER GUNSEN (8) secured the perfect trail here last start under mobile conditions and did enough to hold om for the bronze. That followed a tidy effort from the 10m when chasing home behind IVANOV and he can look to make closing plays again here.

LANSBURY (1) made the most of conditions here on Tues when stepping straight to the front and taking control to an all the way win. From the inside line she can get a great trip and offer late.

SOUTHERN ALPS (2) was finding the line strongly here 2 starts back and was the best of the chasers behind the all the way effort of IVANOV. With a safe start he comes into calculations.

SELECTIONS: NEEDLE (3), MISTER GUNSEN (8), LANSBURY (1), SOUTHERN ALPS (2)
SUGGESTED BET: NEEDLE (3) to win

RACE TEN

MARETTI (1)
had been racing well but just missing the knockout blow and then with a stable switch lining up for Cristina Monte last start delivered a flurry of blows for a big win. In a power running display from gate 5, the foot was flat to the floor and he raced home to a big win. Taking benefit from the run and with gate 1 he looks hard to stop.

OUR MAJOR DAY (8) did his share of work from the breeze last start and dug in when 6m from the winner PATERNITY SUIT. That followed a tough run over the 2138m trip and with a cosy run here, can be glued to the helmet of the 1 looking to exploit any chinks should there be any at the trip.

GOTTA GOOD REASON (6) steps out for Cristina Monte for the 1st time and joins her barn a last tsart 2nd when beaten a half-neck behind SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE. A tough winner 2 starts back at this trip he can be in the mix.

SKYFELLA CAM (2) resumes from a freshen after a last start 2nd in a qualifier when beaten a head after racing in the pocket trail. The pegs might be a good place to be in this contest and if looking for the cheap run can land in the money

SELECTIONS: MARETTI (1), OUR MAJOR DAY (8), GOTTA GOOD REASON (6), SKYFELLA CAM (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MARETTI / OUR MAJOR DAY (1 / 8) quinella
