RACE TWO

JUSTABITLIKEMUM (5) was safely away from a 10m tape here last start and put the pressure on to work her way to the lead and once in control was never in danger to score a comfortable 4m victory. A winner over this trip 3 starts back, this will be a little harder from the 30m but she is up to the task.

MISS INVASION (3) has found her touch and lines up here looking to make it 4 wins in succession. Last start she settled back in the field over the 2040m mobile trip at Redcliffe and when asked for the effort blew them away to claim a 32m victory. Still to prove herself at AP this is her chance.

MONORAIL (8) had been warming up to victory and delivered the victory here 3 starts back when finishing hard from the 30m tape to arrive for the prize. Look for him charging home again.

HAVANA MAGIC (2) claimed the silver in a similar race here 2 starts back after securing the perfect trip in the trail. If she can bring her manners and trot cleanly, she should again get the gun run.

SELECTIONS: JUSTABITLIKEMUM (5), MISS INVASION (3), MONORAIL (8), HAVANA MAGIC (2)
SUGGESTED BET: JUSTABITLIKEMUM (5) to win

RACE THREE

LAVROS TEXAS (6) worked home strongly in the 2nd round of heats of the DJA Series to grab 3rd from well back in the pack here 5 runs back. Striking trouble in his next 3 starts in succession has seen a trio of duck eggs appear, however he got it right last start in scoring in fine style. He can repeat.

GREG THE GREAT (1) made his Qld debut here last start and after finding running line cover looked set to work into the race with purpose when he broke gait on the home turn. Runner-up behind the handy PANTZUP at his last start in Vic, he can look to atone from the front line here.

SPIRIT WALKER (8) has been freshened since her last start when down the line in the DJA Final back in mid-Dec. Despite the 20m tape, she should find this easier than recent opponents and can place.

EL SWAVO (2) has placed at his past 3 in succession and safe from the tapes can look to get in the firing line early. He fought hard for 3rd from the breeze last start and will be in for the fight again.

SELECTIONS: LAVROS TEXAS (6), GREG THE GREAT (1), SPIRIT WALKER (8), EL SWAVO (2)
SUGGESTED BET: LAVROS TEXAS (6) to win

RACE FOUR

GANGSTER BOY (2)
has some ordinary numbers next to his name but he finds his race here and over his preferred trip can look to take control. He worked hard in the breeze here on Sat and only faded late in a strong mile behind GLENFERRIE HOOD. Taking on FFA company in recent starts, this is ideal.

WITHALOTOFLUCK (4) worked to the front over this trip last start from gate 2 and set a strong tempo when collared in the closing stages and finishing 6m from the winner CLINTAL DO. That followed a tough 3rd to COLD IDEAL and sitting just off the speed can look to charge late here.

BRYCE COOPER (1) looked to take them all the way last start from gate 2 over the mile but the cost of leading was a sub 27 opening panel which sawm him fade late. With a cosy trip he has place claims.

SELECTIONS: GANGSTER BOY (2), WITHALOTOFLUCK (4), BRYCE COOPER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GANGSTER BOY (2) to win

RACE FIVE

COREY WILLIAM (3) was too strong from the breeze here 3 starts back in a 2nd division qualifier when holding on for a narrow victory in a career best win rate. Only grabbed on the line by LINCOLN ROAD at his next run, he was in control last start from the front and from the gate can repeat.

PATERNITY SUIT (5) shoots for the hat-trick after winning in Saturday night company in successive starts. Winning his qualifier in good style when holding on from the front, his last win came when working home over the top to score a 2m victory. With wins in 4 of his past 6 he can feature again.

GRINVIL (6) did some early work and was chasing hard here on Sat night when landing a wide gate and fighting gamely behind ZARAS DELIGHT. Landing another wide gate she can charge late.

MAGOOGAN (1) was buried away on the pegs last start and hit the line in good style to get within 8m of the winner. He will settle closer in the run here and can look to issue a closing challenge.

SELECTIONS: COREY WILLIAM (3), PATERNITY SUIT (5), GRINVIL (6), MAGOOGAN (1)
SUGGESTED BET: COREY WILLIAM (3) to win

RACE SIX

HAVANA MOON (8)
will need some luck in the run but looking to follow the likely leader can be coiled and ready to strike in the stretch. This is a step up from his last start when positioned 3 back along the pegs he finished best to claim a passing lane victory. The soft trip suits and he can repeat.

HEAVENS HURRICANE (1) returns from a spell after facing a horror stretch of barriers. Off the 2nd line in 8 of his past 9 starts, he lands the ace and can look to take advantage. Given a trial to prepare, he wasn’t knocked around and with good early speed will be gripping on late.

ACT OF VALOR (9) was in the pocket trail last start when chasing gamely to finish mid-field behind LISA LINCOLN. Too far back here 2 starts back he can look to settle closer and finish in the money.

OASIS DREAM (5) was wide for a long way last start and did well under the circumstances. If able to find some early cover he can look to chime into the exotics in the closing stages.

SELECTIONS: HAVANA MOON (8), HEAVENS HURRICANE (1), ACT OF VALOR (9), OASIS DREAM (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

COMPLY OR DIE (4) was forced to face the breeze last start when sent forward from gate 6 over the mile and was in for the fight when nabbed late and beaten a head. That followed a strong effort over the 2138m and back to the mile can look to take control and fight them off.

KETUT (8) shoots for the hat-trick after successive mile wins here at AP. Locked way on the pegs last start he charged home late to arrive for a stylish win. That followed a strong effort again when finishing best in a 2nd division Band 5 event. He drops to claiming grade and will be closing out hard.

WATTLEBANK FLYER (1) took on open company on Sat night when buried away on the pegs and finishing down the line behind GLENFERRIE HOOD. He will get a cosy trip here which suits.

OUR MELS DREAM (2) was struggling to find position from gate 7 last start and rolled forward to the breeze and faded in the closing stages over the 2138m. From the improved gate he can be sharper.

SELECTIONS: COMPLY OR DIE (4), KETUT (8), WATTLEBANK FLYER (1), OUR MELS DREAM (2
SUGGESTED BET: COMPLY OR DIE (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

SECRET JACK (9)
hasn’t had the best of luck with barriers since returning from a spell and despite the 2nd line again here, looks to get a good run through early behind a smart beginner. From this same gate last start he was working home strongly to grab the silver behind SPIKE BROMAC. This suits.

ANOTHER BROADWAY (2) has some ordinary numbers next to his name but excuses can be made for his recent efforts. Unable to find position last start he faded off after a tough run from the 2nd line. Freshened since his last run, he can find his preferred position in front and gets his chance.

PLATINUM ROULETTE (3) will strip fitter following his latest start when returning from a spell. Pressing forward to the breeze he was in for the fight over the 2138m when 3m away. He can feature here.

VADER (1) was sent forward to the breeze from gate 4 last start and was in for the fight when finishing 6m from OUTLAW FELLA. With a cosy trip on offer here he can take a closing shot.

SELECTIONS: SECRET JACK (9), ANOTHER BROADWAY (2), PLATINUM ROULETTE (3), VADER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SECRET JACK (9) to win

RACE NINE

TOO GOOD FOR YOU (6)
was locked away on the pegs here 2 starts back and may have finished closer than 4th if seeing a cleaner run to the finish. Last start at Tamworth he was outside the leader from gate 3 and fighting hard when 6m from the winner in a strong closing 800m. He can fight hard in an open contest.

NEWPORT DREAMZ (7) has no favours from the wide gate as he returns from a spell. Last start he was away from the pegs early and chasing hard when getting within a half-neck of the winner. He return without a public trial to sharpen but at his best this is well within reach.

JENUFLECTION (8) comes to AP for just the 2nd time in her career and from the gate she will need some luck in transit but the cosy trip will suit. A winner 2 starts back at Redcliffe from the pocket trail he will be probing for openings.

HAPPY FEELINGS (11) should find this easier than what she has been meeting and despite the tough gate can chime into the exotics. A winner here 2 starts back she was too far back last start behind COREY WILLIAM.

SELECTIONS: TOO GOOD FOR YOU (6), NEWPORT DREAMZ (7), JENUFLECTION (8), HAPPY FEELINGS (11)
SUGGESTED BET:
