RACE TWO

FOREVER ROCKING (10) started a prohibitive short-priced fav last start from gate 1 at Redcliffe, yet her race was over within 100m. Making an error just after the arms folded, she reset and did well to be 10m from the winner. Gunned down in a stronger race 2 starts back, she can atone here.

WHERES SEGGY (5) returns for his 3YO season to kick-off after a mixed bag in his 1st season in Brisbane. Starting fav 2 runs back at Redcliffe he struck trouble and finished at the rear. Only 4m from the winner when 2nd up, he can look for a sharper return this season.

VALKYRIE HANOVER (2) settled a long way back in the pack from a 2nd line gate last time and was chasing in vain. Only 3m from the winner here 2 starts back, the improved gate helps in this.

FEEL THE THRILL (9) returned a smart effort last time when working in the run and fighting hard to grab the silver when 6m in arrears. With the right trail, he can find a podium position here.

SELECTIONS: FOREVER ROCKING (10), WHERES SEGGY (5), VALKYRIE HANOVER (2), FEEL THE THRILL (9)
SUGGESTED BET: FOREVER ROCKING (10) to win

RACE THREE

SIR JUJON (1) will take good benefit from his latest appearance when 2nd up from a spell. Returning with a down the line effort after working in the run from gate 6, he was much sharper 2nd up when claiming the silver after racing in the pocket trail behind ANOTHER STATEMENT. The gate is a big plus.

DE VOYAGE (5) hasn’t had much go her way in recent starts, the latest when landing gate 7. Retreating in the early stages, she was strong to the line to be mid-field behind the impressive DOUBLE OR NOTHING. Flashing home after being blocked for open road the start prior, she can challenge.

SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (8) is in nice touch of late, the latest when 7m away when hitting the line in nice style. Only beaten a lip the start prior, he will get a soft trip here and can be ready to strike.

JUST JOSHIN (6) led them up over the Redcliffe 2040m last start but couldn’t see it out when finishing 3m in arrears. The wide gate hurts but the return to the mile and added fitness is in his favour.

SELECTIONS: SIR JUJON (1), DE VOYAGE (5), SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (8), JUST JOSHIN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-6-8

RACE FOUR

GREGS LEGACY (4)
made a mess of things last start from gate 7 and was banished to the trials. Prior to that he had been thereabouts without cashing-in. Earning the return, he lands an improved gate and with slick early speed he can fire out here and look to see it out.

KEY LARGO (2) has been mixing his form of late, his most recent start when buried on the pegs from inside gate. Fading the start prior when wide off the track, if he can bring the form of his run 3 back when only beaten a neck, this is the type of race that he can claim.

MY SECRET BEACH (10) makes his Qld debut after joining the Jack Butler team and arrives with a strong record form limited starts. With form around TULHURST SANTANNA who has done a superb job here in Qld, he stays under notice 1st up.

TEARAWAY DIAMOND (6) has the wide gate to negotiate as he searches for his 1st win of the season. Hitting the line strongly last start behind BETTOR BECAUSE, he can be swooping late here.

SELECTIONS: GREGS LEGACY (4), KEY LARGO (2), MY SECRET BEACH (10), TEARAWAY DIAMOND (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

JIGGLE AND JIVE (6) could not have been any more impressive in her return to kick-off her 3YO term when holding the front from gate 1 and setting a slick tempo, held them off in a 1.53.9 mile with a 27.4 closing panel. Fitter for the return, she faces another step up here, but looks to be a classy filly on the rise.

RUNFORTHEROSES (1) was forced to do plenty of work last start on a sloppy track when cutting the breeze and faded under the pressure in the closing stages. Setting a slick tempo in front over the 2138m the start prior saw her bullets expire before the turn. Hustling to protect she can go close.

CHEESANDKISSES (8) settled back in the pack from gate 10 last start and was strong to the line when mid-field behind DOUBLE OR NOTHING. With a cosy trip on offer here, she can be slipping through on the inside.

ETERNAL PROMISE (3) returns to kick-off her 4YO season after last being sighted in the Qld Oaks. Finding the line nicely along the inside in that G1, she has a tidy record from limited starts and will improve following this.

SELECTIONS: JIGGLE AND JIVE (6), RUNFORTHEROSES (1), CHEESANDKISSES (8), ETERNAL PROMISE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: JIGGLE AND JIVE (6) to win

RACE SIX

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (10) may have the tough draw to negotiate here, but with a front-line bursting with speed, it might just be left to a swooper to make the closing play. The tempo made it tough when chasing from too far back last start and 2 back he took on a much stronger contest. He is worth a ticket.

DOUBLE OR NOTHING (5) made a winning start to his Aus career when sent forward from the 2nd line over the mile. Using brute forced to take control and then hold them off to score a 3m victory, he will appreciate the improved gate and although stepping up here, looms as a big threat.

CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (4) fired off the arm last start in a qualifier before taking cover. Holding on for the bronze behind RANDOM TASK, he can get to a handy position again here and is in the mix.

KILLARA KAOS (8) pressed ahead from gate 5 last start from gate 5 and taking control cruised home to an easy victory. He will need some luck from this gate yet can be probing for gaps to chime in.

SELECTIONS: RECIPE FOR DREAMING (10), DOUBLE OR NOTHING (5), CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (4), KILLARA KAOS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: RECIPE FOR DREAMING (10) each-way

RACE SEVEN

The early speed battle looms as the preview to who can prevail and if TIZ A SIZZLER (8) can see the space required, he can be ready to swoop to victory. Cruising home over the 2138m last start for an easy victory, he has shown plenty of promise in his 4 Qld starts. A rub of the green will be required, yet he can arrive.

SIR TIGER (1) covered plenty of the oval last start when wide and under the tough trip faded out. The start prior from gate 6, the closing tempo was against him when grabbing 3rd behind ANOTHER STATEMENT. From the good gate he has the peg-line benefits and gets every chance in this.

BETTERTHANSPRAYING (4) shoots for the hat-trick after successive wins at the mile since returning from a break. With brilliant early speed, her chances may well be decided within 300m of release.

STREET APPEAL (11) made a mess of things when 1st up in Aus, yet caught the eye in grabbing 2nd despite the error. Sent to the breeze and proving too strong when 2nd up, he won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: TIZ A SIZZLER (8), SIR TIGER (1), BETTERTHANSPRAYING (4), STREET APPEAL (11)
SUGGESTED BET: TIZ A SIZZLER (8) to win
