RACE TWO

DAVEY MAC (11) was a winner here 3 starts back under these conditions when sent forward from gate 7 to take control and once dictating was able to hold on for the win. Following that with a grass track win, he had excuses last start and if trotting cleanly will be able to give this a big shake.

CHASING GREAT (5) has a solitary win from 15 attempts behind the mobile but all his 10 starts here at The Creek have all been from the stand. Stepping straight to the front and then dictating to an easy victory here 2 starts back, he could not go with them in the closing stages last time. He can bounce back here.

HEDGE YOUR BET (9) was locked away last start from a 20m tape but when finding the space to offer wound up strongly to arrive for the prize. Pressing through to gain position, he is in the mix.

KAPAI (2) ticked over 12 months since his last victory but should be suited by the mobile conditions from this gate. With super speed out of the machine, he can be near the action to feature.

SELECTIONS: DAVEY MAC (11), CHASING GREAT (5), HEDGE YOUR BET (9), KAPAI (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

A tricky contest to dissect here with the early tempo and map throwing up a few different permeations. ROCK THE HOUSE (8) will need luck whichever way the early pace battle goes, but if he can spot the opening in time, his recent closing efforts suggest he might just have the late speed to arrive. Not much has been in his favour at his past 2 starts, can he get the rub of the green here?

BEEJAYS DELIGHT (5) settled in the running line last start when chasing home for a mid-field finish behind NICKS PICK. A beaten fav from gate 1 the start prior when settling in the pocket trail and holding on for the silver, he can look to get forward in this field to make his challenge.

SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (7) tackled the 2138m trip last start when angled to the pegs from a 2nd line gate to look for the short-cuts. Down the line, it had followed a smart Redcliffe win and he has podium claims.

THANKHEAVNFIRGIRLS (6) eased to find position from the four-hole at Redcliffe last start and had the finishing power to arrive for a narrow victory. That broke a long winless streak and with some confidence can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: ROCK THE HOUSE (8), BEEJAYS DELIGHT (5), SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (7), THANKHEAVNFIRGIRLS (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

TARGARYEN (1) arrived with a bang, scoring 2 smart victories from 2 appearances here at The Creek when leasing throughout in each. Running some tidy sectionals in those victories he then went to the Redcliffe Guineas where he struck trouble and followed that with an error here at his next start. With a sharp trial to iron out the kinks, he looks to classy.

RANCHO MAN (3) capitalised from barrier one last start and once in control was never looking in danger in setting a new career benchmark. That had followed a tough 3rd at Redcliffe and if able to limit the workload, looks best of the contenders to issue a challenge.

BUTCHERFEELGOOD (7) might find this a little tougher than recent assignments but comes here fit and in form with 3 wins at her past 4 starts. Finishing strongly to score at her past 2, she can place.

BEE GEES BEST (8) is still honing his craft but should appreciate the big oval after competing on The Triangle at all 9 career starts. Likely to get a perfect trip behind the speed, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: TARGARYEN (1), RANCHO MAN (3), BUTCHERFEELGOOD (7), BEE GEES BEST (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1 / 3-7-8

RACE FIVE

The better version of GOTTA MOMENT (9) came to the races last start and from the front kept the power on throughout to score a smart win in front over this trip. That had followed successive placings, including a stout 3rd from the breeze when only a half-neck away. If the same Gotta Moment comes to play, he can take this.

ITS SUPER EASY (4) eased from gate 5 last start to secure position over this trip and with the race controlled from the front, found it hard to eat into the deficit. Not coping with a torrid trip from the breeze the start prior, it had followed a win at this trip and if limiting the burn can make a play.

MACHS MARETA (8) will be 2nd up in Aus since joining the Craig Cross barn and heads North after making his 1st appearance a winning one at Newcastle. He lands a sticky gate for this but stays under notice.

PROSECUTION WITNESS (6) was caught outside the leader last start from gate 3 over this trip and was strong to the line in holding on for the bronze when 3m in arrears. The gate stings but he can feature.

SELECTIONS: GOTTA MOMENT (9), ITS SUPER EASY (4), MACHS MARETA (8), PROSECUTION WITNESS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: GOTTA MOMENT (9) to win

RACE SIX

BETTERTHANDIAMONDS (5)
has been freshened since her last appearance and looks to get into this race nicely. Tackling the Bill Dixon last start, from gate 1 she was within 2.5m of the winner and subsequent performer STRADDIE. Only 2m from LARRY LINCOLN when resuming 4 runs back, she can capitalise here.

GOLIGHTLY (10) returns from a spell without a public trial in readiness. Last seen back in August when completing back-to-back victories at Redcliffe, the second of those was a smart effort when leading throughout and zipping home a strong last 800m sectional. The gate stings 1st up, but he looms large.

FEALRESS FAITH (8) eased to find the pegs last start from gate 5 and was back in the pack and facing a task as BLUE IVY controlled it in front. With the cosy trip from the get-go, she can be probing for gaps.

SUBTLE ADVICE (2) made hay while the sun shined on the grass at Kilcoy 2 starts back when finding conditions to suit and leading throughout. Grinding it out when within 1.5m of the winner last start, he can feature again here.

SELECTIONS: BETTERTHANDIAMONDS (5), GOLIGHTLY (10), FEALRESS FAITH (8), SUBTLE ADVICE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTERTHANDIAMONDS (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

ALLSTAR SEA (2) fired off the arm to take control here last start and had the speed on when only grabbed in the closing strides to be a head in arrears of the winner MIND OF MY OWN. Not suited when locked away the start prior, he can look to fire the early shots here and will be gripping on.

A KERRY MAN (6) faded after a tough trip last start over the Redcliffe sprint trip, trailing the field home. That had followed a tough run when working hard and hanging on for the silver. He has no favours from this alley, but if he can limit the burn in transit, he can throw down a challenge.

MONTANA LAD (10) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon angled away from the pegs to finish around the mid-field. With the right cart home, he can chime into an open contest.

SLINGSHOT (7) has placed at his past 2 starts, the latest when rolling the sleeves to race tough outside the leader and winner BLUE IVY. The gate hurts but he is moving closer to a Qld breakthrough.

SELECTIONS: ALLSTAR SEA (2), A KERRY MAN (6), MONTANA LAD (10), SLINGSHOT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ALLSTAR SEA (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

HAVING THE FAITH (1) landed gate 6 last start when pressing forward to do the heavy lifting outside the leader and winner NIMAH FRANCO. That form was franked when she was again successful on Tuesday and although he has been thereabouts without striking a winning blow, the gate gives him the breakthrough opportunity.

KENSINGTON BILL (11) opened his Qld account here last start when taking them all the way over the mile. Firing across to lead from gate 2, he was gripping to the lead in the closing stages and held the verdict by a flared nostril. Game when holding 3rd, the start prior, if he can secure the right cart home, his challenging chances are strong.

CHERRYS THE BEST (7) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon pinned down three back against the poles. Never really getting a crack at them, she was only 6m in arrears of the winner TACTICAL RESPONSE. The gate stings but she can place.

RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (2) fired the first shot from gate 1 last start before taking cover and chased gamely for the bronze behind WINKANDITSOVER. From the gate he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: HAVING THE FAITH (1), KENSINGTON BILL (11), CHERRYS THE BEST (7), RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (2)
SUGGESTED BET: HAVING THE FAITH (1) to win

RACE NINE

FRANCO LANDRY (7) has been superb in 2 starts since arriving in Qld and will look to remain undefeated since arriving. Claiming the Redcliffe Christmas Cup 1st up, he franked that with a muscle-flexing victory when working triple time in pressing forward to get outside the leader and crush his rivals. The gate hurts but he can look to put them into submission again.

PARAVANI (1) loves these conditions and has been in great touch of late, hitting the board at 4 of his past 5 including a pair of wins. 1st to the poles before releasing last start, he made the closing dive to get within a head of the winner AT WEST POINT. That pattern suits and he will be ready to take the snipers shot.

IMASPORTSTAR (5) returned from a spell here last start in top order when securing the 1x1 trail from the 2nd line gate and then attacking the line strongly in some slippery closing splits. Positioning cheaply will be key to his closing chances.

ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (3) made the most of gate 1 last time out and able to control the speed in front had the power to hold on for the prize. This looks marginally stronger, but from the front, he will give them the target to shoot for.

SELECTIONS: FRANCO LANDRY (7), PARAVANI (1), IMASPORTSTAR (5), ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-5-7
