RACE TWO

ROCKNROLL ICON (5) was set to make his 1st appearance in Qld some weeks back but was a scratching and will be making his 1st appearance here. Last raced back in October at Melton when down the line behind MISTER WICKHAM, if he can bring his Vic form 1st up, he will be hard to stop in this.

HANDSOME HERO (7) angled down to the pegs for an economical passage last start and then when trying to launch a closing raid was finding dead-ends and never had a decent shot at them. Working home in nice style the start prior, he should get the cosy trip here and be ready to take his shot up the passing lane.

MISSINMEMATE (1) lands the ideal gate for his pattern and will get his chance to dictate. Backing up from a win on Wednesday night when leading throughout with a sharp last quarter, he will be trying to fight them off.

ARTHUR LOWE (8) was a winner in this grade 3 starts back when securing the pocket trail and then making the closing shot a winning one. Gate 5 has been his nemesis at his past 2 starts and with the option of a pole passage, can chime in.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNROLL ICON (5), HANDSOME HERO (7), MISSINMEMATE (1), ARTHUR LOWE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-7-8

RACE THREE

MAJOR ROLL (4)
has placed at both starts since arriving, landing gate 7 and gate 9 in his 2 appearances. Game in the run when facing the breeze as SPEEDY DOMINIC brutalised them in front, he was charging home the start prior. Handling the tighter tracks of the Riverina should mean he has no trouble here and this looks his opportunity to earn a travelling victory.

LA PLAYER (2) is hitting some nice areas of late with 3 wins and a 2nd in his past 4 starts. That 2nd came in the Redcliffe Christmas Cup behind the subsequent powerful winner FRANCO LANDRY, while his last win was a nice effort from the rear. A five-time winner here at Redcliffe, the threepeat is on.

LITTLE BOLT (1) finished best to claim the prize over the 2138m 2 starts back and followed that with a close 2nd to the flying STRADDIE. The gate is ideal here and with the right trip can feature.

FRANCO HAMPTON (8) was chasing in vain last start as THE FORTUNATE SON had the power on out in front. Fading the start prior when deep in the red, look for some improvement here.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR ROLL (4), LA PLAYER (2), LITTLE BOLT (1), FRANCO HAMPTON (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR ROLL (4) to win

RACE FOUR

A small field for this Trotters Cup event where NEEDABACARDI (8) can look to continue his strong form as he takes his first look at the track. Making the most of his early speed from the mobile last start to dictate terms for a comfortable 8m victory, it followed successive 2nds. The obvious concern is the Triangle.

MIRACLE RISING (3) meanwhile has a smart record at the track with 3 wins and 4 minors from his 11 outings. Angled back to the inside last start from the 10m impost, he was back in the pack when trying to launch his raid. Fitter for the run where he was 1st up from a break, he can throw it down.

JEDDY R YA READY (1) is never far from the action as the win-clouds continue to build as he searches for a drought breaking victory. Working home smartly to grab the bronze last start from the 10m, he will be in the mix again from the ace.

SKYLINE (5) was a winner from the 20m tape over the 2138m trip 5 starts back and has placed on 3 occasions since that victory. Holding on for the bronze last start, he has podium claims here.

SELECTIONS: NEEDABACARDI (8), MIRACLE RISING (3), JEDDY R YA READY (1), SKYLINE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: NEEDABACARDI (8) to win

RACE FIVE

MASTER CATCH (1)
has placed in 2 outings here at Redcliffe from his 3 Qld starts. Tough in his 1st outing when runner-up to the subsequent winner LA PLAYER, he was then chasing gamely when within 2m of that same winner at his next run. He might need to hustle early but looks to get his chance for a breakthrough.

MACH LE MORE (5) has a tidy record on the track with a pair of wins and 3 minors from his 5 outings. Buried away from inside the 2nd line last start, he was searching for a way clear when only beaten a half-head behind JUST JOSHIN. Close up behind RANGER BOMB the start prior, he can challenge despite the gate.

BOMB SUIT (4) was around them from the 2nd line last start and asked to do his share of work when wide off the track. Placed his previous 4 in succession behind some handy performers, he can feature.

BOHANNAN (7) has a win at his only outing here at Redcliffe and since that victory has placed in 5 successive outings at AP. Leading every step bar the most important one last time, he will be searching for a way clear to join in.

SELECTIONS: MASTER CATCH (1), MACH LE MORE (5), BOMB SUIT (4), BOHANNAN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MASTER CATCH (1) to win

RACE SIX

MADAMOISELLE JUJON (3)
swept a heat/final series here 3 starts back when never bothered in front over the sprint trip in the final, running a sharp closing panel. Placed in both runs at THE CREEK since that win, she closed in nice order last start behind FROST EN ICE over the 2138m. Missing the board just once in 15 outings at The Triangle, she can cash in.

JIGGLE AND JIVE (9) was able to breakthrough last start by using the advantage of gate 1 to take them all the way, ending a frustrating winless streak in the process. Placed in 3 consecutive starts leading into that victory, she has been dealt a blow with the tough gate but can still make a play.

TRUNKEY DIGGER (1) settled in the pocket trail from gate 1 over the AP mile last start and via the passing lane went within an eyelash of the prize. With the right trip she can again be stalking.

ROCKITA (7) makes her 1st appearance in Qld for the Craig Cross barn and has ben kept fresh since her last start 3rd at Menangle behind FIRESTORM RED. She faces a tricky gate here but stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: MADAMOISELLE JUJON (3), JIGGLE AND JIVE (9), TRUNKEY DIGGER (1), ROCKITA (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MADAMOISELLE JUJON (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

ONE OFF (7) landed gate 7 last start, the difference being on that occasion it was at The Creek where the outside the front line is much less palatable than inside the 2nd line here. Taken back to the pegs in that event he was hitting the line in nice fashion over the closing stages behind LA PLAYER. He should secure the trip to take the snipers shot.

CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (1) has hit the board just once in 5 attempts here but has not really had conditions to suit in those either. Beaten by gate 7 last start when forced to retreat early, the start prior he was within 3m of the winner KENSINGTON BILL. With the early speed he can make his challenge.

MISTER FINNIGAN (6) angled to the pegs last time out and was strong to the line in the same race as ONE OFF when finishing 5m from the winner. The gate does him no favours but in this line-up he has hopes.

MISTER BLACKJACK (3) returns from a spell and opened the pipes with an impressive trial here last week. Working home stoutly in the closing stages, he can feature in this fresh.

SELECTIONS: ONE OFF (7), CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (1), MISTER FINNIGAN (6), MISTER BLACKJACK (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ONE OFF (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

Two heats of this series were held 10 days ago where CAPTAINS PICK (8) was the runner-up to PACIFIC COIN in his heat. Starting from gate 4, he was given an easy time early and then angled to the pegs. Closing out strongly up the lane, it was a smart 2nd up run and he can arrive for the prize.

PACIFIC COIN (2) held the front from gate 1 in his heat and was able to set a strong tempo out in front and fight them off to claim a 3.5m victory. Given another run here on Wed, he was taken back from gate 4 and from back in the pack was always facing a task. Pressing forward, he can throw it down.

HEADWIN (4) was a winner of his heat when holding the lead easily from gate 1 and then having enough in reserve to score. With wins at 3 of his past 4 starts, he will be in the mix here.

ROYAL PRINCESS (9) was well supported in the heat when scraping into this final with a 5th placed finish. A smart all the way winner the start prior, she can look to get a cart home to feature.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAINS PICK (8), PACIFIC COIN (2), HEADWIN (4), ROYAL PRINCESS (9)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAINS PICK (8) to win

RACE NINE

A small field for the open here with a few of these likely to appreciate the absence of some of the higher credentialed performers. With a super record here on the triangle LILAC FLASH (4) can look to capitalise on his chances. Shaken up when the runs came last start as NORTHVIEW HUSTLER took the prize, he is 5 from 6 here at the Peninsula and can look to fill the six-pack.

CLINTAL DO (2) has been charging home at his past 2 starts over the mile and the 2138m, to finish in the money at each, the latest when runner-up to KINGOFTHESTARS who made it tough for the chasers from the front. He can tuck in behind the action here and be ready to close out.

FAME ASSURED (6) was asked to do a mountain of work last start and was eyeballing the leader in a sub 27 3rd panel before wilting late. Placed in 1 of 3 at the track, she can be thereabouts.

TENNYSON BROMAC (5) will be further tightened from his latest appearance when 3rd up from a spell. Darting along the passing lane to grab the bronze in that, he can be joining again here.

SELECTIONS: LILAC FLASH (4), CLINTAL DO (2), FAME ASSURED (6), TENNYSON BROMAC (5)
SUGGESTED BET: LILAC FLASH (4) to win

RACE TEN

CARLA CLARE (1) was shooting for a hat-trick of victories when pitch-forked into open company. Working early to secure position, she was far from disgraced when 7m in arrears of the winner SECRETAGENT TYCOON. Runner-up in both runs since, she lands all the options here to bounce back.

SQUIRE (2) pulled the trigger when the green light went on over the AP mile 3 runs back and from the front was never in danger in scoring an easy 3m victory. Beaten by the barrier in both runs since that win, he can look to show his early speed again here and from the gate has his chance to challenge.

HURRICANE ROY (4) has a perfect record here at Redcliffe and will be out to make it 4 from 4. Mid-field last start behind the flying STRADDIE, he was nabbed late the start prior. The gate is a little sticky, but he can feature.

STOMPEM (7) will have the early options as the lone 2nd line runner to plot chart his course. Holding on for the bronze behind MISTER DONALD 2 starts back, he is 3rd up from a break and can chime in.

SELECTIONS: CARLA CLARE (1), SQUIRE (2), HURRICANE ROY (4), STOMPEM (7)
SUGGESTED BET: CARLA CLARE (1) to win
