RACE TWO

HARRY CROFT (9)
was a winner here 5 starts back when powering home in the closing stages to arrive in the last stride. Wide gates were his undoing in his next 3 appearances and since his last start, he has been freshened. Despite the sticky alley, at his best he looks to have an edge.

AURORA ROSE (1) last scored here back in August when trailing the leader and making the closing shot a winning one to claim the win. Taking some time to regather form, her latest start was a much-improved effort when closing strongly to be just a half-head from away, with the gate in her favour.

IMA CALVERT ROSE (5) is a trotter taking on the pacers here and importantly her best work comes from the mobile start. Making a mess of the standing start last time, she is right in the fight here.

LEAPING LEO (8) has placed in 2 of his past 3 starts, the latest when releasing from gate 1 and chasing hard as MISTER DECORUM landed the prize. With even luck he can feature.

SELECTIONS: HARRY CROFT (9), AURORA ROSE (1), IMA CALVERT ROSE (5), LEAPING LEO (8)
SUGGESTED BET: HARRY CROFT (9) to win

RACE THREE

IM PLAIN JANE (5)
arrived in Qld with poor numbers and some big defeats on her home deck at Tamworth. Benefiting from some strong tempo early, she attacked mid-race, worked to the front, powered clear, scoring by 62m in a new 3YO fillies track record. Anything near that effort wins this.

IM LOKI (6) took his first look at The Triangle last start when setting the tempo from gate 4, with the lamp lighting duties coming at the expense of a 27 flat opening panel. That left him vulnerable, and he was grabbed late, beaten a head. A huge Marburg winner the start prior, he can throw it down.

ITSMEGS (3) was sent to sit parked last start from a 2nd line gate and after the tough trip faded in the latter stages. Grabbing 3rd here from the pole 2 starts back, she can be close enough to join in.

TORQUE TO THE MAX (4) is on the back-up from Friday at headquarters where she looked to be in contention from a good alley. An all the way winner here 5 runs back, she can feature again here.

SELECTIONS: IM PLAIN JANE (5), IM LOKI (6), ITSMEGS (3), TORQUE TO THE MAX (4)
SUGGESTED BET: IM PLAIN JANE (5) to win

RACE FOUR

MISSINMEMATE (1)
started from gate 4 last start when eased to the poles and locked away was picking off some late ground to be 8m from the winner. Beaten an identical margin the start prior when finishing midfield, he lands the alley to bounce back into winning form.

CHEDDAR MADE BETA (7) is a last start winner from the pocket trail after start from this same alley. Following the leader, when the passing lane presented, he took his shot up the inside and had the closing speed to arrive. With a similar trip stalking the speed, he will be ready to strike.

PEBBLE SANDS (4) started from the pole here 2 starts back and was looking to take them all the way when nabbed in the stretch by BANGKOK BRAVADO. With even luck in transit, he is in the mix.

ELMS CREEK (6) is on the back-up from Thursday where he was able to grab the bronze behind MARK OF INTEGRITY. The gate stings here but he is working back into form.

SELECTIONS: MISSINMEMATE (1), CHEDDAR MADE BETA (7), PEBBLE SANDS (4), ELMS CREEK (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-6-7

RACE FIVE

NOLONGA YOUR CHOICE (2) has placed in 3 of his past 5 starts as he searches for the winning rains to break a crippling victory drought that dates to July 2017. Holding 2nd after being nailed up the late 2 starts back, he can hold the front here and if able to pinch a panel or two, the clouds can burst.

FORTYFIVE ROCK (5) pressed on take control here 2 starts back from gate 3 and once in front was able to see it out. Not suited last start from the 2nd line when sent around them to sit parked, a return to the front line will aid his chances here of making a challenge.

ROCCO VARIETY (3) was eased at the start from a wide gate at Marburg last start before finding the line in nice order to hold 3rd when 5m in arrears of the winner. Settling handy can see him feature.

JILLIBY GIZMO (4) had his best chance 3 starts back when landing gate 1 and trying to dictate was unable to hold on when fading to midfield in the latter stages. He can be thereabouts in this line up.

SELECTIONS: NOLONGA YOUR CHOICE (2), FORTYFIVE ROCK (5), ROCCO VARIETY (3), JILLIBY GIZMO (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

FEEL THE THRILL (1)
has 5 career victories and all 5 have been recorded when able to lead and dictate in his races. Drawing inside the 2nd line at his past 3 successive starts, he has been shuffled back in 2 of them and the one where he landed the trail, grabbed 2nd. He can make his own luck.

BATTLECRAFT (3) was first up in Qld last start when taken to Marburg and sent to the post as the favourite. Settling outside the leader, he was in for the fight and did hit the front at one stage before finishing a half-head away in a blanket finish. He can look to throw it down again.

MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (5) was a winner at Marburg 4 starts back when overcoming a 2nd line gate and followed that with a neck margin from the winner here. Despite the wide gate he can feature.

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8) will be buried in the run at some stage in this battle and will require a slice of luck. Snagged back from gate 6 last start, he can weave a passage to chime into the minors.

SELECTIONS: FEEL THE THRILL (1), BATTLECRAFT (3), MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (5), ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: FEEL THE THRILL (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

SHOWEM SIMON (9)
has the tough alley to negotiate but comes up with a significant class drop to tackle this assignment. Just 11m in arrears of stablemate BELLA BALL TERROR last start after easing to the poles, it followed a hemmed away run behind GLENLEDI BOY. With a smart record here at Redcliffe, he can cash-in.

BARBOO (2) was shooting for a hat-trick of wins here 3 starts back when slammed with gate 5 and asked to grind it out when parked after being sent forward early and then wilting. Again, sent to the chair 2 starts back with a similar result, he has the gate to look for the front and make his challenge.

PACIFIC COIN (7) will be requiring some luck at some stage from this alley as he will likely be hemmed away. Snagged back from gate 6 last time, he was strong to the line and will be probing here.

PAGO PAGO (4) will take further benefit from his latest offering when second-up from a spell. With good improvement from the first-up return, he can find early position to feature here.

SELECTIONS: SHOWEM SIMON (9), BARBOO (2), PACIFIC COIN (7), PAGO PAGO (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SHOWEM SIMON (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

RAANI (1)
has been faced with gates in recent starts because of her poor starting manners. After showing consecutive starts without issue, she earns the return to the main draw and wins big first up. Meeting stronger fields when being forced to chase from back in the pack, the gate can be the catalyst for a turnaround in fortunes.

MAFFIOSO GIRL (6) has no favours from outside the front line here but has been racing in nice touch. A winner 2 starts back when pressing on to take control from gate 3 and then fighting them off for a narrow margin, she was unable to see it out last start. With even luck she can make a play.

SLIDE TO UNLOCK (8) features in a stable switch after finally breaking the maiden status at her 15th attempt last time out. This is a big rise from maiden company to this grade, but first up for Graham Dwyer can feature.

MY SECRET BEACH (3) eased from outside the front-line last start at Marburg when chasing home for the bronze behind subsequent winner CALVERT HOT SHOT. He has podium claims once again.

SELECTIONS: RAANI (1), MAFFIOSO GIRL (6), SLIDE TO UNLOCK (8), MY SECRET BEACH (3)
SUGGESTED BET: RAANI (1) to win
