RACE TWO

MULLUM DOC (5)
franked the form of finishing 2nd in a maiden race 2 starts back from gate 5 when scoring a narrow victory at a short quote last time out. Sent straight to the front from gate 2, it was a steady first three quarters before sprinting hard. The confidence and experience will be invaluable.

LEXYS GOT A REASON (9) is a newcomer to the Ben Battle stable that arrives from Bathurst with a tidy record that includes a maiden breaking win 2 starts back. Making the most of gate 1 to lead throughout at Parkes on that occasion, the gate stings for the first up mission.

IM A CLASSY GIRL (1) has placed at her past 4 in succession, the latest when 8m in arrears of the winner MISS MAGDALENA. With all the options from this alley, she can be thereabouts.

MELTON KILLARA (7) was a winner here 3 starts back when pressing on to the front and leading all the way to score. With the economical trip she can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: MULLUM DOC (5), LEXYS GOT A REASON (9), IM A CLASSY GIRL (1), MELTON KILLARA (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MULLUM DOC (5) to win

RACE THREE

WILD ABOUT TOWN (8)
has hit some good areas in recent outings and lines up here with 3 wins from his past 5 starts. From gate 9 here last start, he was sent forward in the middle stages to find the chair and then worried them out of it to score. There is no reason he cannot recreate that here.

SCHOOBY (2) found the front here last start from gate 4 and attempting to rate the pace with even quarters was grabbed in the closing strides. Runner-up over the AP mile the start prior, he can get to the front again here and will be gripping on.

DARBY BRIGHTS (7) has been runner-up in 2 of her past 3 starts, the latest when asked to grind it out sitting parked and finishing 3m in arrears of the winner. From this alley she will be probing.

MOLLIDOR (3) is yet to really fire a shot since arriving in Qld and last start was not up to the speed of the in-form KOOKABURRAPRINCESS. Back to Redcliffe can see some improvement.

SELECTIONS: WILD ABOUT TOWN (8), SCHOOBY (2), DARBY BRIGHTS (7), MOLLIDOR (3)
SUGGESTED BET: WILD ABOUT TOWN (8) to win

RACE FOUR

REGRETABLE (7)
will be requiring some factors in her favour from this alley but with the right trip can look to complete a hat-trick of victories. Making the passing lane shot a winning one last start, she will be searching for the openings to claim the threepeat.

A GOOD IDEAL (4) made the most of the gate to lead throughout at the sprint trip 2 stars back when pulling clear to a comfortable 9m victory. Runner-up last start when gunned down in the last strides, he can get forward to throw it down once again.

CHASIN DREAM (2) eased into the 1x1 trail last start before making a late play for the bronze behind REGRETABLE. From the gate she is in the mix once again.

WILLSINTOWN (8) chased hard over the latter stages last start to finish with the silver behind PRIVATE JUJON. With the right trip he has podium claims once again.

SELECTIONS: REGRETABLE (7), A GOOD IDEAL (4), CHASIN DREAM (2), WILLSINTOWN (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

WEDDING NIGHT (3) started from gate 5 last start when eased to secure position before making a wide run to finish with the bronze when 7m in arrears of the winner WRITE TIME. Too strong in the breeze here 3 starts back, she can get forward from the gate and look to dictate.

WHATELEY (5) is a ten-time winner here on The Triangle but has been campaigning at headquarters in recent times. Runner-up in 3 of his past 4 appearances, he chased behind the in-form RING THE TILL last time which followed a best of the rest run behind KOOKABURRAPRINCESS. Back to Redcliffe is a plus.

GO AWAY (9) was a winner here 4 starts back when charging home in the closing stages to pinch the prize. Placed in all 3 starts since that win, she can be chiming in at the finish once again here.

VERMONT (1) was a passing lane winner here 5 starts back when securing the pocket trail from this same gate. Not much has gone her way in the starts since and from the gate she can feature.

SELECTIONS: WEDDING NIGHT (3), WHATELEY (5), GO AWAY (9), VERMONT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: WEDDING NIGHT (3) to win

RACE SIX

MAYWYN A JUG ORTWO (2)
settled in the 1x1 trail last start when trying to make a closing raid and fishing within 3m of the in-form ABERCROMBIE TAB. Strong to the line wide off the track the start prior over the AP mile, can he claim a drought breaking win.

WRITE TIME (3) eased off the poles in the early stages last start to find the running line and with the ideal trip had the speed to finish over the top to claim his 6th victory here at Redcliffe. Luckless from inside the 2nd line the start prior, he finds the right conditions to once again throw it down.

ROCCO VARIETY (9) held the pocket trail last start from inside the 2nd line and held on for the silver when 3m away. The gate is a dampener once again, but he can be chiming in.

JILLIBY GIZMO (4) tried to take them all the way last start from gate 1 and was fighting into the stretch when just 3m in arrears. The gate stings but he can feature.

SELECTIONS: MAYWYN A JUG ORTWO (2), WRITE TIME (3), ROCCO VARIETY (9), JILLIBY GIZMO (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MAYWYN A JUG ORTWO (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

BATTLECRAFT (1)
is 1 from 1 here at Redcliffe, that win coming 3 starts back when finding the front from gate 3 and leading throughout with a smart closing 800m split. Tackling a stronger AP event at his next start, he wilted late in front last time. Back to The Triangle is a big plus to his chances.

VIEWBYTHEROCK (9) did not have the hustle to hold them out from gate 1 last start before angling off the inside and then finishing midfield. Beaten by gate 6 the start prior behind KATACHA MAN, he can be looking to make a challenge wide out.

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8) is a last start winner when dropping to 3-fence from this same gate and then owning the best closing speed up the passing lane took the prize. A repeat can see him feature.

SPEED OF SOUND (6) returns from a 3-start Tamworth trip where nothing really worked out with her best result a 5m margin at her last start. From the wide gate she can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: BATTLECRAFT (1), VIEWBYTHEROCK (9), ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8), SPEED OF SOUND (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BATTLECRAFT (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

THREE KISSES (1)
has now had 4 starts since arriving in Qld, the latest when tackling a mare’s qualifier from outside the 2nd line. Not too far from the winner MAGGIE in that contest, she was buried in the run at her only appearance here. Holding the pocket trail, she might just have found the chance to break the drought.

ARROKEEFE (9) was heavily supported 2 starts back despite gate 7 and being beaten by at least 20m in each of his previous 3 starts, to spear out over the AP mile and take them all the way. Angled to the pegs and beaten 17m last start, he is 0 from 3 here at Redcliffe but warrants consideration.

TINGE OF FEAR (7) will be needing a slice of luck at some stage as she looks set to be buried in the run. A winner here 3 starts back, she will be probing for a way clear.

RAANI (3) made the most of conditions to lead all the way in a mare’s qualifier on this deck 2 starts back and then last start in stronger company was not too far away. Back to this grade helps.

SELECTIONS: THREE KISSES (1), ARROKEEFE (9), TINGE OF FEAR (7), RAANI (3)
SUGGESTED BET: THREE KISSES (1) to win

RACE NINE

THE IRISH EAGLE (7)
has placed at his past 2 starts as he searches for his first win since arriving in Qld. Runner-up last time in a 2nd division qualifier behind the all the way winner JUDDY DOUGLAS, he can secure the soft trip, stalk the speed and make the closing shot a winning one.

ONE LAST ROLL (1) will appreciate the opposition he faces from this alley after meeting some tougher competitors in recent outings. Pressing forward from gate 5 before fading last start as ISOLATION claimed the prize over the AP mile, he can burrow through to make the challenge.

FIRE AND ICE (5) started from the 2nd line last start when trying to launch a raid but unable to eat into the deficit as DOCTA FEELGOOD claimed the prize. Despite the gate he can chime in here.

ASCALABUS (9) resumes from a spell with his last outing back in October when down the line behind LOVE YOUR WORK. Talented but with plenty of issues to overcome, he will take benefit from the run.

SELECTIONS: THE IRISH EAGLE (7), ONE LAST ROLL (1), FIRE AND ICE (5), ASCALABUS (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Quinella/Exacta 1 / 7 THE IRISH EAGLE / ONE LAST ROLL
