RACE TWO

TRAIN WRECK (2) has done a few things wrong that have seen him banished to the outside draw of late, but earns his ticket back to the main draw here. From gate 12 last start he found the line in good order to be 5m from the winner. Pouncing on the pegs, he might sneak away with this.

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (10) is in good form and has been racing consistently with a top-3 at 10 of his past 13. Finding the front last start, he led deep into the stretch when grabbed late by STAR OF MONTANA. He took them all the way 2 starts back over the mile and will be right in the fight.

CC JONES (4) rolled forward to the breeze from gate 4 last time out and was in for the fight when holding 3rd behind IM NO OUTLAW. Only beaten a half-head 3 back, he won’t be far away.

SLIPPERY JADE (12) went within a flared nostril of victory 2 starts back and then last start finished mid-field after being locked away on the pegs, not beaten too far. She can chime in late in this.

SELECTIONS: TRAIN WRECK (2), RECIPE FOR DREAMING (10), CC JONES (4), SLIPPERY JADE (12)
SUGGESTED BET: TRAIN WRECK (2) to win

RACE THREE

After mixing his races between Qualifiers and Claimers, CROWNING GLORY (4) lands a gate to look to capitalise on his early speed in this claiming contest. Locked away last start as CHANTREY blazed the mile in front, he chased well. Grabbed late here 4 starts back he can look to dictate.

ONE WISE MAN (8) was buried away on the poles after starting from this gate last time out over the 2138m, charging home in the closing stages to arrive for the prize. He will need some luck on his side again here from this alley, but he will be charging home when the gaps arrive.

BLUE POINTER (9) was forced to race tough at his 1st run back in Qld over the middle-distance last start and under the work-load faded in the stretch. Back to the mile suits and he can chime in late.

OUR MELS DREAM (6) is never far from the action in these claiming races and last start went within a half-neck of the winner after hitting the line strongly. Look for him in the mix once again.

SELECTIONS: CROWNING GLORY (4), ONE WISE MAN (8), BLUE POINTER (9), OUR MELS DREAM (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CROWNING GLORY (4) to win

RACE FOUR

MAKE WAY (12)
has the extreme gate to overcome, but if he is looking to press on to the upcoming Derbies, he would be needing to put them away in this. Rolling forward to face the breeze last start, he claimed the Redcliffe Derby in stylish fashion and with a handy record he can go back-to-back.

KINETIC KATE (10) has been runner-up at her past 2 and features in a stable switch to line up here for Grant Dixon. Settling 1x1 in a mares qualifier last start, she loomed up to win and was grabbed in a head-bob to go under an eyelash. Working home strongly from the rear the start prior, she is in the fight.

SOLDIER OF FORTUNE (3) was luckless last start when unable to find position and was forced to retreat. Grabbed late when leading them up 2 starts back, he can fire the first shot here.

LUCKY LYLA (11) was in for the fight after cutting the breeze in a mares qualifier last start and held on for the bronze when 3m in arrears. With the right cart into the contest, she won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: MAKE WAY (12), KINETIC KATE (10), SOLDIER OF FORTUNE (3), LUCKY LYLA (11)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

After hoisting the spinnaker in the stretch here on Tuesday and powering home, SMOOTH SAILOR (9) went within a head of victory behind the passing lane winner LETSGOTOTHEHOP. A tough winner from the breeze 2 starts back over the 2138m, he can get the right trip to arrive in time here

WITH AUTHORITY (3) will strip fitter following 1 run back from a break when finding the line in good style to be 5m from the winner FAME ASSURED. A narrow winner in a 2nd division Band 5 contest over the sprint trip 4 starts back, he can look to fire an early shot and can throw down the challenge.

ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (1) took the trail from gate 1 at Redcliffe last start when finishing mid-field and 6m from the winner, who was able to dictate in front. From the gate he can be ready to strike.

IM ROCKNROLL MAGIC (7) made a successful Qld debut when leading throughout in a qualifier here 2 starts back. He will find this much easier than the last start Redcliffe Cup and has claims.

SELECTIONS: SMOOTH SAILOR (9), WITH AUTHORITY (3), ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (1), IM ROCKNROLL MAGIC (7)
SUGGESTED BET: SMOOTH SAILOR (9) to win

RACE SIX

RANDOM TASK (5)
shoots for the hat-trick after wins at both Qld appearances thus far. Sent forward from gate 10 over the Redcliffe 2040m trip, he was in for the fight and proved too strong in scoring a 5m victory. Swooping home last start for a big win, he moves to the front line and will shake this.

LETSGOTOTHEHOP (2) was crossed in the early stages here on Tues and then making the most of the passing lane arrived for the prize. His run from the 2nd line 2 starts back was a tidy effort behind RUN BOY RUN and with the ability to do the heavy lifting in his races, can be in for the grind here.

PROFICIENT (8) resumes from a freshen after taking on an open stand start event last time out. Fading out after working triple time in the run, his run 2 starts back was strong and he is in the mix.

MISS PATRIOT (7) has mixed her numbers this campaign and last start made an early error that ended her chances. That followed a strong win when sent forward and she can land in the money.

SELECTIONS: RANDOM TASK (5), LETSGOTOTHEHOP (2), PROFICIENT (8), MISS PATRIOT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: RANDOM TASK (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

With quite a few in this small field looking to recapture some form, EARL JUJON (8) looks set to get the best run in transit and that should be enough to see him greet the judge 1st. He did his share of early work last start and was in for the fight in a qualifier and going better than his numbers suggest, this looks an ideal target.

LONG HOT SUMMER (1) returns to Qld for Dean Cernovskis with the now 8YO last tasting victory here 3 years to the day when scoring over the sprint trip. Grabbed in the latter stages after leading over the 2240m trip at Goulburn last start, he can be around the money from this gate.

THE GOLDEN CROSS (7) has the tough gate to overcome, yet hasn’t been too far away in recent starts. He did his share of work in the run last start and in this field has claims.

LIFEINHEAVEN (2) was buried well back on the pegs last start over the sprint trip in a mares qualifier when finding the line in good order from gate 12. Settling handy, she can be swooping late here.

SELECTIONS: EARL JUJON (8), LONG HOT SUMMER (1), THE GOLDEN CROSS (7), LIFEINHEAVEN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: EARL JUJON (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

ALLY ROGAN (10)
should appreciate this assignment after finishing out of the money in 2 Qld appearances to date. Slotting into the running line from gate 3 last start, she couldn’t go with them when the power went on, while her 1st up run had merit when buried away. This looks her chance.

CHANCELESS CENTURY (3) is still looking for an elusive maiden breaking win after placing in 4 of his 8 appearances. Rolling the sleeves to do the work in the breeze last start, he only faded in the closing stages and with the chance that he can press ahead to lead them up here, he can challenge.

GINATIANO (9) resumes from a spell and will make her 1st 3YO appearance. Put away after winning at her last 2YO outing, she has trialled 3 times in readiness and from the gate can chime in.

SIRIUS VICKI (6) was finding the line in good style last start when grabbing the silver over the mile after being locked away in transit. The wide gate is of some concern, yet she has place hopes.

SELECTIONS: ALLY ROGAN (10), CHANCELESS CENTURY (3), GINATIANO (9), SIRIUS VICKI (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ALLY ROGAN (10) to win

RACE NINE

With a perfect 2 from 2 record here at The Creek, MAJESTIC COURTNEY (5) finds a suitable target to keep the unblemished record in-tact. Much easier than recent outings, he stepped cleanly to score narrowly over the 2647m trip last start and with a good record from the mobile looks hard to stop.

IM THE COMMANDO (1) started fav under these conditions 2 starts back and after setting a strong tempo in front, faded in the stretch when mid-field behind NORTHERN MUSCLE. Put a line through his last start when his manners ended his race before it started, he can look to atone from the gate.

JETER (4) was locked away against the markers last start when mid-field behind MATATOKI and 2 starts back wasn’t far away behind NORTHERN MUSCLE. Settling handy, he can be chiming in here.

MISTER OZ (6) stepped straight to the front here last time out and after a steady opening 800m, ramped the tempo, only to be grabbed late by MUSCULUS. He can be thereabouts again here.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC COURTNEY (5), IM THE COMMANDO (1), JETER (4), MISTER OZ (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC COURTNEY (5) to win

RACE TEN

ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (6)
came away from a 3-pegs position with 1000m left to travel last start and that saw him leading up the chasers in a sizzling closing 800m panel set from the front in the win of SELF ASSURED. He found the line nicely in the Redcliffe Derby and despite the gate, can claim this.

ALLABOUTDREAMS (7) was wide off the track from gate 7 in a full field when fighting gamely to take the bronze behind FOR ALL WE KNOW over the sprint trip 2 starts back. Not suited when off the track in white-hot closing sections in the Redcliffe Oaks, she can bounce back with gusto in this.

LITTLELIONELJAMES (4) is in good touch and was rattling home in the closing stages here on Tues when beaten a neck behind CAPTAIN COSMONAUT. Looking to fire the 1st shot he is in the mix.

ZARAS ALL GOOD (3) pressed on to take up the lamp lighting duties last start and setting a solid tempo was only grabbed in the closing stages to hold 3rd. She can be around the money again here.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (6), ALLABOUTDREAMS (7), LITTLELIONELJAMES (4), ZARAS ALL GOOD (3)
SUGGESTED BET:
