RACE TWO

CHANGEOVERME (9) has placed in 2 runs back from a long break and from this gate just needs a little rub of the green along the way to challenge. 5m from HAVANA MOON last start in a strong last 800m split, his passing lane 2nd when 1st up behind COBBLER LANE was a nice return.

CAESARS ASTRUM (1) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon buried away and then facing a task as they ripped home in 27.4 from the front. With the benefit of the good gate against this opposition she will have the options available and will be throwing down the challenge.

TAAFEITE (4) will make her 1st appearance in almost 2 years and steps out for the Jack Butler yard for the 1st time. Given 4 trials to prepare for the return, the most recent was a tidy effort and she will improve on whatever can be achieved here.

INDYS APPROVAL (7) isn’t afforded any favours from this alley, but was a stylish winner last time at Redcliffe. Sent to the breeze from the 2nd line she secured a big win. This is step-up but is within reach.

SELECTIONS: CHANGEOVERME (9), CAESARS ASTRUM (1), TAAFEITE (4), INDYS APPROVAL (7)
SUGGESTED BET: CHANGEOVERME (9) to win

RACE THREE

LEFT A HURRIKANE (7) has the wide gate to negotiate here, but might just have the race experience advantage over the other front liners to get the job done. Placed in 6 of 9 appearances as he looks for a maiden breaking win, he charged home last start to get within a half-head of the winner and can breakthrough.

FIRE ME UP (2) makes her debut for the Chantal Turpin stable and is the 3rd filly to the track of her dam Opononi Sunset. A half to the handy fillies OPONONIS BLISS and OUR DELIGHT, she did everything right in a qualifying trial and from the good gate stays under notice
A BETTER CHANCE (9) was a beaten fav last start at Redcliffe after pressing forward and then racing a bit wayward in the latter stages. Not suited in the breeze when 2nd up, he can be better with the trail here.

SARIE MARAIS (5) started fav last time out and looked to take them all the way over the 1780m at the triangle when grabbed in the closing stages. With good early speed she can be in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: LEFT A HURRIKANE (7), FIRE ME UP (2), A BETTER CHANCE (9), SARIE MARAIS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: LEFT A HURRIKANE (7) to win

RACE FOUR

Working to the theory that SUPREME BANNER (9) might just be better suited to the more spacious surrounds of the 1000m oval where he secured his only Qld victory. In 5 starts since arriving, he has race 4 times at the triangle for one 2nd and is 1 for 1 here at the Creek. With this no harder than what he beat 3 starts back, he is worth a chance.

BUNDJALUNG BEAUTY (4) made the most of gate 1 to take them all the way over the 1780m 2 starts back, scoring an easy 2m victory. Spearing across from gate 5 last start, she couldn’t quite get across them and the early burn took its toll. Looking for the front in this, she can be sharper if in control.

ZARAS ALL GOOD (7) started fav last time out and was doing plenty of work in the run from the 2nd line when sent forward before finding cover. Her previous 2 were n much stronger line-ups and despite the gate she can feature here.

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (12) resumes from a spell after his past few starts last prep saw him develop a few gait issues. With a top-two in 5 of 9 appearances here, he can look to turn things around.

SELECTIONS: SUPREME BANNER (9), BUNDJALUNG BEAUTY (4), ZARAS ALL GOOD (7), BEEF CITY STARZZZ (12)
SUGGESTED BET: SUPREME BANNER (9) to win

RACE FIVE

SNAKES N LADDERS (2) has been in the money at 3 of his past 5 appearances, the latest when using the passing lane to grab the bronze after being shuffled to 3 back along the inside. 2 starts back the pace was too hot on the triangle and in a wide-open race here, might just be able to sneak home.

DOLLARBILL (10) loomed up at the 400m last start at Redcliffe and looked to be running into the race strongly, but soon after the run ended and he couldn’t go on with it. His run 2 back had merit when making some late ground and with the right cart home here can atone.

GUTS (7) was buried in the run at Marburg on Monday and was always facing a task when locked away. Hitting the line nicely 2 starts back, with the right run he can land in the numbers.

ARBIT MAJOR (9) has been freshened since his last appearance when mid-field behind MAJOR GENERALJUJON. Beaten a half-head here 4 starts back over this trip, can he break his AP maiden?

SELECTIONS: SNAKES N LADDERS (2), DOLLARBILL (10), GUTS (7), ARBIT MAJOR (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

Spearing out from gate 5 to take control over the mile 3 starts back, FLYING WINGARD (1) secured a 2nd panel breather before ripping home in 27.5 to claim a 7m victory. Gunned down at his next start by WE SALUTE YOU, he was again grabbed last start. He gets in well against these opponents and can dictate.

JACKS GAMBIT (8) last tasted victory back in Feb when using the passing lane at Redcliffe to run past them and take a 3m victory. In recent outings he hasn’t been too far away, the latest when forced to do it tough in the breeze. With a soft trip on offer here, look for him swooping home late.

SPLASH OF GOLD (9) didn’t get a crack at them last start when running into dead-ends after retreating from gate 6. A passing lane 3rd over the 1780m 2 starts back, the pegs can be the play.

MAJOR GENERALJUJON (10) started from gate 10 at Redcliffe 2 starts back and working home wide off the track was finishing hard to get within a half-head of the winner. He can chime in late here.

SELECTIONS: FLYING WINGARD (1), JACKS GAMBIT (8), SPLASH OF GOLD (9), MAJOR GENERALJUJON (10)
SUGGESTED BET: FLYING WINGARD (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

LONG HOT SUMMER (5) was snagged back from gate 5 here 2 starts back and went to the pegs to look for luck when finishing nicely in the closing stages. Last start he again went luck hinting from gate 11 before attacking the line strongly, only beaten 3m. He looks well-placed in this.

ELMAUR JOY (11) is in nice touch and will shoot for the hat-trick after successive Redcliffe wins. Finding the 1x1 trail last start she finished best to arrive for a narrow victory over the 2040m and the start prior was strong late over the sprint trip. With even luck in transit she can claim the three-peat.

BIG IN AMERICA (2) looked to take them all the way over the sprint trip 2 starts back from gate 1 and set a solid tempo when grabbed on the line. Not suited last start, she will be gripping on here.

LURAH (8) was attacking the line strongly at Redcliffe 2 starts back when beaten a half-neck via the passing lane. Needing some luck in the run from this gate, looks for her finishing hard.

SELECTIONS: LONG HOT SUMMER (5), ELMAUR JOY (11), BIG IN AMERICA (2), LURAH (8)
SUGGESTED BET: LONG HOT SUMMER (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

After 4 runs back from a spell WITH AUTHORITY (1) should be approaching full fitness and lands the perfect gate to capitalise. Rolling forward from gate 6 last start he was forced to work hard in the breeze, the same position he filled 2 starts back in a slick mile. From the ace he will get his chance.

IMTHE GOLDEN CHILD (6) speared out early last start with the price for the lamp lighting duties set at a sub 27 opening panel. Fighting hard, he was 7m from the winner SCOOB OPERATOR. 2 starts back he took on a stronger line-up and despite a wide gate he can be around the mark in this.

THE HARLEM HAMMER (8) found the pocket trail last start at Redcliffe over the 2040m and chased hard to grab the bronze. This is harder but with the cosy trip on offer she won’t be too far away.

POLISHED ROCKS (7) secured the trail last start and was ready for the passing lane but couldn’t muster the momentum when 5m in arrears. The wide gate is tricky, but he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: WITH AUTHORITY (1), IMTHE GOLDEN CHILD (6), THE HARLEM HAMMER (8), POLISHED ROCKS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: WITH AUTHORITY (1) to win
