RACE TWO

IM THE COMMANDO (8) has mixed his runs of late, but when he got them right, he has been close. He made a mess of things at the release last start and the start prior struck trouble in the run. Looking to this run 3 starts back, he was 2nd to the smart MAJESTIC COURTNEY. This looks ideal.

LAVROS TEXAS (9) will appreciate getting into this type of contest despite needing to overcome the 30m tape. Last start he took on the Trotters Marathon when returning a tidy effort. His previous 2 starts didn’t go as planned but with the right run to get into the contest will be right in the fight.

GARLAND GREENE (10) pressed ahead from his 20m tape to the breeze last start and parked out proved too strong to claim a 4m victory. The 30m impost will be tough but is in the mix.

DAY TOURER (1) went within 4m of victory over these conditions 2 starts back when releasing and holding on for bronze behind RUNNING FREE. A great beginner, he should be in a nice spot here.

SELECTIONS: IM THE COMMANDO (8), LAVROS TEXAS (9), GARLAND GREENE (10), DAY TOURER (1)
SUGGESTED BET:  IM THE COMMANDO (8) to win

RACE THREE

MAYWYNS JEWEL (1) went straight to the front from gate 3 here on Thursday and taking control kept the speed on throughout to claim victory by a neck. That followed a pair of tidy runs from 2nd line gates and the return to the front proved the difference. From the ace she can go back-to-back.

LEFT A HURRIKANE (8) is chasing victory after placing in 6 of his 10 appearances. From gate 7 last start, he struck trouble that ended his chances, yet he was still able to return a solid effort. Only beaten a half-head 2 starts back when charging late, he will get the perfect trip to challenge.

TARGARYEN HANOVER (5) has placed in 2 of his past 3 starts since returning from a spell, the latest a tough effort when facing the breeze and holding on for 3rd. With the right trip he can feature.

MISS LILY MAY (3) took on the fillies Triad Consolation last start and was game in the breeze when claiming the bronze behind TRUE STEPPER. Charging home, the start prior, she can go close here.

SELECTIONS: MAYWYNS JEWEL (1), LEFT A HURRIKANE (8), TARGARYEN HANOVER (5), MISS LILY MAY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-5-8

RACE FOUR

SPEECH IS SILVER (7)
will make his Qld debut surrounded by some hype following 3 NZ starts where he was able to score 1 victory and finish runner-up in the other 2, the latest behind the superstar ULTIMATE SNIPER. With 2 sharp trials to open the pipes, he looks to have these covered.

CAESARS ASTRUM (1) has run herself into some nice form and will be after a hat-trick of wins in 5 days. Swooping home strongly after being buried away here on Thurs, she then had too many bullets to fire at Redcliffe on Sun night, cruising home to a comfortable win. From the gate she can grab 2nd.

GINA MACH (2) returns to the main draw after an extended period as an ODM runner. Attacking the line strongly from back in the pack last start when 3m in arrears, she can be in the mix for a minor.

AUNTY BESSY (4) rolled the sleeves last start and was fighting hard when 2m from the winner JUSTA DALE. Placed in 3 of 6 appearances here at The Creek, she can chime in to fill the exotics.

SELECTIONS: SPEECH IS SILVER (7), CAESARS ASTRUM (1), GINA MACH (2), AUNTY BESSY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi Trifecta 7 / 1-2-4

RACE FIVE

After an extended period out of the winners enclosure MAFUTA VAUTIN (5) has found his mojo again and comes into this with wins at 4 of his past 5 appearances. The latest win came on Sat night where he capitalised on gate 1 to take them all the way, ripping home in 27.3. He can notch another here.

THE SHADY ONE (6) was resuming off a let-up last start when settling a long way back in the pack and at the home turn was the widest runner. Setting out after a two-horse breakaway, he attacked the line strongly in the closing stages behind JOSSIE JAMES. The small field suits and he is a threat.

ROCKNROLL EMMA (3) was angled to the pegs here 2 starts back in mares company when ANNIKA MAGIC set a new mares track record. Strong in the closing stages there, she is going better than her numbers suggest.

PLATINUM ROULETTE (1) started from this same alley on Sat night and with a soft trip behind the leader went within a neck of victory. With the same scenario on offer he won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: MAFUTA VAUTIN (5), THE SHADY ONE (6), ROCKNROLL EMMA (3), PLATINUM ROULETTE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MAFUTA VAUTIN (5) to win

RACE SIX

ARK ME (9)
appreciated conditions at Redcliffe on Fri night with a perfect trip in the pocket trail before using the passing lane to scoot home to victory. That was an encouraging win after taking on the top fillies through the Oaks races, where her efforts were sound. This looks winnable as well.

MINTED MONTANA (1) returned his best effort this prep after getting within a head of victory at his last start. Using gate 1 to look for an all the way win, he was only nabbed right on the wire. With an interrupted campaign, he will be fitter from that run and off the ace will be tough to crack.

MISS BLUE GLORY (8) retreated from gate 6 last start before attacking the line strongly in the closing stages. Not suited in the breeze in slick time the start prior, she will get the perfect trip to offer late.

THE MONEY BALL (6) is racing in nice touch and would only need the right tempo and position to be a player in the finish. Only beaten a half-head in a stronger race last start, back to his own age is plus.

SELECTIONS: ARK ME (9), MINTED MONTANA (1), MISS BLUE GLORY (8), THE MONEY BALL (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ARK ME (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

This race shapes as a terrific contest with this NR 60-70 proving to be the toughest race every Tuesday. Giving THATS HOW WEROLL (8) one last chance after he has been costly at his past few, however that is his pattern, requiring factors in his favour. Following a smart beginner, he can get the perfect trip and today can be the day to arrive for the prize.

APHORISM (4) is in nice touch for Team Frisby and was rewarded last start when pressing on to the front over the 2138m and packing too much heat to claim a half-head victory. Only 2m from STAR OF MONTANA in a Rising Stars Final the start prior, he will be throwing down a challenge here.

KINETIC KATE (5) will be hoping for what looks a slick tempo on paper to transpire in the race. Attacking the line strongly last start, she will be swooping hard in the closing stages.

In such an open contest, there are a few that can chime into the exotics with the right conditions, including the awkwardly drawn COOL SCOOTER (12) who was strong last start in victory, KEY LARGO (6) who has been runner-up in 6 of his past 7 and BLINGITTOTHEMAX (1) who draws well 1st up off a spell.

SELECTIONS: THATS HOW WEROLL (8), APHORISM (4), KINETIC KATE (5), COOL SCOOTER (12)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

TROJAN BANNER (11)
doesn’t get any favours from the gate and will need to conquer the older horses, yet after taking on the Derby’s at his past 2 starts. A qualifying winner 3 starts back, he charged home in the Qld Derby last start in a solid run behind the star SELF ASSURED. He can bounce back.

SOMWHEREOVARAINBOW (10) made the most of conditions to score a passing lane win a qualifier here 2 starts back, sprinting sharply once the gap opened. Given a shot in the 4YO Championship last start, he found himself too far back in the pack to have a decent challenge. He can atone here.

IMA BLACK BEAUTY (1) has had excuses in 3 Qld starts with 2 of those runs from tough gates. Sandwiched between those was a 5m deficit behind WITHALOTOFLUCK and from the good gate she gets her chance.

GOTTA GOOD REASON (2) lands his best gate for some time and can look to take full advantage. Drawn no closer than gate 6 since winning from gate 5 over the mile 8 starts back, he can capitalise.

SELECTIONS: TROJAN BANNER (11), SOMWHEREOVARAINBOW (10), IMA BLACK BEAUTY (1), GOTTA GOOD REASON (2)
SUGGESTED BET: TROJAN BANNER (11) to win

RACE NINE

In a race where there looks to be plenty of speed out of the Hilux and some mid-race tempo, it could be just ripe for a swooper and JUMPING JOLT (10) fits that profile. From gate 11 under similar conditions 2 starts back, he was 2m from the winner and last start was too far back against a slick tempo. He can arrive.

SOMEMONDOSOMEWHERE (1) retreated from gate 6 over the 2138m last start and was strong to the line in the closing stages to be within 2m of the winner. The start prior he was tough from the breeze, fighting on in the closing stages. From the gate he throws down the challenge.

GOD SAKE (8) looked to take them all the way over the 2138m last start when grabbed on the line and beaten a half-head. Within 1.5m the start prior, if the 1 looks to go all the way, he can strike.

VETTEL (3) hit the line in good style on Sat night when within 5m of the winner A GOOD CHANCE. The mile suits and from the gate he can settle handy to the pace and won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: JUMPING JOLT (10), SOMEMONDOSOMEWHERE (1), GOD SAKE (8), VETTEL (3)
SUGGESTED BET: JUMPING JOLT (10) each-way

RACE TEN

COBBLER LANE (2)
wasn’t suited last start from gate 7 when wide off the track and trying to work home in the closing stages. His run 2 starts back was full of merit when cutting the breeze and fighting hard to get within 1.5m of the winner CC JONES. With the improved gate he can bounce back.

OUR UNCLE ALAN (8) took the trail from gate 1 last start and was running on to get within 3m of the winner and in-form SECRETAGENT TYCOON. 2 starts back he was nabbed late by that same winner when looking to take them all the way over the mile. Probing for gaps he can finish hard.

FLYING WINGARD (3) led them up from gate 1 last start and after setting a steady tempo was put away in a first-over crush. Grabbed late the start prior, he will fire the early shots and be gripping on.

LITTLELIONELJAMES (7) receives no favours from this gate, but he is racing in great touch, arriving for a new career benchmark last start. 3 back he attacked the line late and can be thereabouts again.

SELECTIONS: COBBLER LANE (2), OUR UNCLE ALAN (8), FLYING WINGARD (3), LITTLELIONELJAMES (7)
SUGGESTED BET: COBBLER LANE (2) to win
