RACE TWO

MADAMOISELLE JUJON (5) has been given a let-up since her last outing when trailing in some smart performers in the Redcliffe 3YO Sale Final claimed by REGULUS. That was the 1st time she had missed a top-three in her 7 start career and despite the wider gate in this, she can return in style.

NEVASANO (4) broke the maiden tag last start when able to pounce on the pegs last start from gate 3 and then take them all the way. This will be a slight rise in what she was able to defeat but with the winning confidence and the good alley, she can look to build on the win.

CHANCELESS CENTURY (6) receives no favours from the wide gate here as he tackles the triangle for the 2nd time in his 10-start career. This is easier than his last start behind PROCUREMENT and he has place hopes.

HADLEY (1) was sent forward from inside the 2nd line here last start and facing the breeze faded in the latter stages under the work load. With the improved gate and a soft trip, he can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MADAMOISELLE JUJON (5), NEVASANO (4), CHANCELESS CENTURY (6), HADLEY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MADAMOISELLE JUJON (5) to win

RACE THREE

KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (3) lands his best gate for some time and can look to capitalise. Snagged back from gate 6 last start, he was wide the last lap and worked home in good order to be mid-field behind THUNDER MAC. He attacked the line strongly the start prior and looks to get his chance here.

RITCHIE BEE (1) had little luck last time out from gate 6 and retreating early was then never in the mix as the speed from the front was sizzling. Only 6m from the winner TAXI METER the start prior, he will be hustling early to protect the poles and will be right in the fight.

TANYAS PAST (7) will be glued to the back of Ritchie at despatch and will be coiled for the snipers shot. Doing her share of work last start she faded late, but will be well suited by the cosy trip here.

CAVALRYMAN (4) didn’t see a lot of space last start and was locked away in the run. The start prior he worked hard early behind TROUBLESOME DAVE and can chime into the exotics here.

SELECTIONS: KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (3), RITCHIE BEE (1), TANYAS PAST (7), CAVALRYMAN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (3) to win

RACE FOUR

MEANT TO BE ME (3)
didn’t have much luck when 1st up for the Ryan Veivers stable last start when unable to find position and forced to snag back. The closing splits made it hard for the chasers in that and with a slight freshen between runs, can show her early speed in this and can be a big improver.

MONTANA EXPRESS (10) has been runner-up at his past 2 outings, the latest when working home best of the chasers behind the clear out winner HALF MOON BEACH. 2 starts back he found the line in good order behind LETS DIG IT and from the gate will be looking to swoop in the closing stages.

ALOT OF COST (5) rolled across to take up the running last start and was fighting hard when finishing 2m in arrears in a blanket finish. With good speed out of the machine, he will be in the fight early.

AT RANDOM (4) was locked away on the pegs last start at Tamworth and didn’t find the space to offer. He sees the front line for the 1st time in his past 8 mobile starts and won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: MEANT TO BE ME (3), MONTANA EXPRESS (10), ALOT OF COST (5), AT RANDOM (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MEANT TO BE ME (3) to win

RACE FIVE

BETTOR BECAUSE (6) should appreciate the return to this class of race after taking on the SE and Qld Oaks at her past 2 starts. Following a solid effort in the Redcliffe Oaks, she found a nice restricted race for a comfortable win prior to the latest 2 outings. Despite gate 6, she can arrive for the prize.

BACK PAGE NEWS (3) was a winner here 4 starts back when taking the length of the stretch to arrive for a half-head victory. His past 3 have all been from tough gates, with his run here 2 back a nice effort when closing strongly to get within a neck. He can fire the early shots in this.

BROADWATER (8) went to the pegs last start to look for short-cuts when making some closing ground behind LIFES BLACK. Placed his previous 2 from tough gates, he gets into this well.

DATITUDE (5) can be tough to latch onto with his poor manners, but his last start was a tidy effort when finishing 4m in arrears over the AP mile after leading. He will be in for the fight in this.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR BECAUSE (6), BACK PAGE NEWS (3), BROADWATER (8), DATITUDE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTOR BECAUSE (6) to win

RACE SIX

JUST JOSHIN (10)
was a winner here 4 starts back when pressing forward to the breeze from gate 4 and racing tough packed too many guns for his opponents to claim an easy 12m victory. In his 3 AP runs since, he has placed twice, the latest from gate 9 in a strong mile. This looks well within reach.

FEELING CLASSY (2) will strip fitter from her latest outing when returning from over 2 years on the sidelines. In 5 2YO outings, she was last seen when down the line behind FAME ASSURED. Returning to the track here on Sunday, there was plenty to like in how she finished off and she is in the mix.

SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (7) will be needing his share of luck from this alley, but will find this easier than recent starts. Not too far from COBBLER LANE last start, he just needs some space to chime in.

NON PASSARE (3) rolled forward from gate 5 last start and was able to find space to snare the pocket trail and from there landed the bronze. He can show early speed and will be gripping on.

SELECTIONS: JUST JOSHIN (10), FEELING CLASSY (2), SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (7), NON PASSARE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: JUST JOSHIN (10) to win

RACE SEVEN

LOCHINVER (2) was angled away from the inside 2nd line gate last start and was wide off the track for the last lap, fading out in the closing stages. Sticking to the pegs 2 starts back he grabbed the bronze behind subsequent AP winner MAFUTA VAUTIN. Blasting out of the Hilux, he will have options and gets his chance to break his Qld maiden tag.

ZAC MAC (8) hasn’t been too far away of late and his runs have had merit. Settling in the running line last start he found the line in good style to grab the silver which followed a tidy effort when chasing hard in a strong closing 800m set from the front. Settling handy he can challenge.

SWEET AS CANDY (7) rolled to the front from gate 3 last start when looking to take them all the way but couldn’t see it out. That was her 3rd run back from a spell and with the added fitness has claims.

TOP TRIO (6) has no favours from the wide gate, but his Redcliffe strike rate is strong with a top-two in 8 of 12 outings. He was closing strongly from this same gat last start and won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: LOCHINVER (2), ZAC MAC (8), SWEET AS CANDY (7), TOP TRIO (6)
SUGGESTED BET: LOCHINVER (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

RANDOM TASK (10)
has another tough gate to negotiate here but has been strong in 3 Albion Park appearances since wining here 4 runs back at his 1st start in QLD. Wide off the track last start from gate 4, he was nabbed right on the wire by IN THE PAPER. Back to the triangle, he can salute.

BURNING AMBITION (4) will shoot for the hat-trick after successive wins, both over the sprint trip. From the pocket trail last start, she arrived for the passing lane and the start prior she took them all the way from gate 3. Stepping up in trip poses a slight question mark, but she can challenge.

THE HARLEM HAMMER (2) will appreciate the return to a front-line gate after her past 3 have all been from the 2nd line. Chasing against the tempo in 2 of her past 3, settling closer here will help.

MADAME LEZA (1) makes her 1st appearance since transferring to the Jack Butler stable and from the gate should enjoy a nice run in transit. She found the line nicely last start and has hopes here.

SELECTIONS: RANDOM TASK (10), BURNING AMBITION (4), THE HARLEM HAMMER (2), MADAME LEZA (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-10

RACE NINE

ALWAYS IN COMMAND (3)
had a shot for the lamp lighting duties here last start from gate 5, but was denied and then forced to face the breeze throughout. Digging in for the fight, he was 7m from the winner. Taking benefit from the run, his 1st since joining Donny Smith, this looks his chance.

PITTSWORTH MAN (1) started from this gate last time out when releasing the front to the smart LIFES BLACK. Chasing home, he held on for the silver, which followed a tidy effort when closing in good order behind BURNING AMBITION. With the cosy trip he will be coiled and ready to strike.

BARA CHARLOTTE (4) didn’t have much luck here 2 starts back from gate 10 when wide and working. Last start at Tamworth she chased gamely for the silver and can chime in here.

LURAH (6) has now been in the money at 5 of her past 6 appearances, the latest when closing hard down the centre of the track, only to be denied up the passing lane. She won’t be far away again.

SELECTIONS: ALWAYS IN COMMAND (3), PITTSWORTH MAN (1), BARA CHARLOTTE (4), LURAH (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ALWAYS IN COMMAND (3) to win
