RACE TWO

He might have to step up again but MOONLIGHT JACK (3) has hit some form and will shoot for the hat-trick. Closing out strongly to arrive for the prize here 2 starts back he then took them all the way last start from gate 3. This will be tougher and the 2040m poses a query, yet he brings winning form.

DONT CALL ME (2) took on a stand-start last time out and settling in the 1x1 trail was best of the chasing pack behind LIFES BLACK when 7m in arrears. A strong winner from the breeze here 3 starts back when circling early from the 2nd line, he can look to capitalise from the alley and is a big threat.

EPIRUS BOY (1) took the trail over the sprint trip 2 starts back when finishing 4m from LIVING GRAND. Getting across from gate 5 last start he was only 3m from the winner and has claims.

NICSTAR (5) looked to take them all the way here 2 start back from the ace and was keen in the run when only 1m from the winner Not suited in the breeze last start, he will be poised off a hot tempo.

SELECTIONS: MOONLIGHT JACK (3), DONT CALL ME (2), EPIRUS BOY (1), NICSTAR (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-5

RACE FOUR

THE LAST DRAGON (4)
made the most of an improved alley last start and was able to take control to lead throughout. That was the 1st win of his career after meeting with some tough gates in his early career outings. With the confidence of the win and further experience, he can give this a shake.

ZED EXPRESS (1) closed out soundly from the 2nd line last start when 8m from the winner. Doing some early work when sent forward from gate 5 here 2 starts back he wasn’t too far away. With his best gate for some time, he has the early speed and with options will be right in the fight.

PEGGY STARDUST (6) worked forward from this gate last start and was able to find the space to get in behind the leader. That made all the difference in holding on for the bronze. If limiting the burn, she can chime in.

WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (2) was strong from the breeze here 2 starts back and went within a head of victory. Just needing space sooner last start to finish a little closer, she can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: THE LAST DRAGON (4), ZED EXPRESS (1), PEGGY STARDUST (6), WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

ALOT OF COST (2) pressed on from gate 5 to find the breeze last start as the ruling fav and with a consistent tempo he faded in the closing stages. Swamped in a blanket finish here 2 starts back when trying to wire them, there looks to be limited pressure here, giving him the chance to dictate.

WILD ABOUT TOWN (7) will need a slice of luck from this gate but with a pattern where he likes to take inside runs, he will be ready to fire late bullets. Finishing best of the chasers behind a big winner last start, he will be tightened from the run after being freshened and can probe for openings.

HALLY GUINEVERE (9) has been in the money at 3 of her past 4 starts, the latest when hitting the line in good style after securing a cheap run in transit. The gate hurts here but she will finish stoutly.

ALL GOOD WALLY (6) has no favours from the wide gate here but rolling forward might be the play in this line-up. Working to the breeze from this gate last start, the tempo was too slick and with even luck he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: ALOT OF COST (2), WILD ABOUT TOWN (7), HALLY GUINEVERE (9), ALL GOOD WALLY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ALOT OF COST (2) to win

RACE SIX

SPORTS STORY (1)
has been runner-up at her past 2 starts here at Redcliffe and lands the good gate to look to go one-better. 2 starts back she was attacking the line strongly when only a half-neck from the winner and in-form pacer COBBLER LANE. From the gate she will get every chance.

CUPCAKESNWHIPCREAM (7) ended up a long way back last start after starting from gate 8 and when making her run stood them up too great a margin. Hitting the line in good style, she was 7m from the winner. Within 2m of the winner the start prior, she will be coiled and ready to strike.

LETS DIG IT (9) has run into some form with wins at 2 of his past 3 outings. Settling in the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line last start he made the last shot a winning one. Look for him swooping late.

NIKALONG HENRY (5) was a winner here 3 starts back, taking the length of the stretch to arrive on the line. Not far from LIVING GRAND at his next start, he can be in the mix from the sticky gate here.

SELECTIONS: SPORTS STORY (1), CUPCAKESNWHIPCREAM (7), LETS DIG IT (9), NIKALONG HENRY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SPORTS STORY / CUPCAKESNWHIPCREAM (1/7) quinella

RACE SEVEN

KARLOO MAC (7) took on claiming company here 2 starts back and from gate 8 was working home in the closing stages to grab the bronze behind RORY MACH. Last start overt the 2040m he finished mid-field and with the return to claiming company with the gate options, he can arrive for the prize.

BLUE POINTER (1) had an early look last start against stronger company and in a slick 1780m trip faded in the closing stages. Angled to the pegs to look for luck 2 starts back, he couldn’t work into the contest and with the gate advantage here can return a sharper effort.

RORY MACH (4) is never far away in these races and last start at AP was hitting the line in good order when 6m from the winner COMPLY OR DIE. Look for him swooping hard in the closing stages.

SELECTIONS: KARLOO MAC (7), BLUE POINTER (1), RORY MACH (4)
SUGGESTED BET: KARLOO MAC (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

MY UTLMATE BONDI (7)
will step out in Qld for the 1st time and has been kept fresh after finishing down the line in the NSW Breeders Semi-Final last start. 3rd in his heat when chasing home, the start colt JILLIBY NITRO, he has the early options as the lone 2nd line runner and can cash-in here.

SIR BULSKI (2) was making his move at the 500m last start when striking trouble and ending his race. Facing a task the start prior when snagged back from a wide gate, he can use his good early speed here and settling in the prominent position can make a challenge for the prize.

BRIGHTON PRINCE (6) was a beaten fav here 2 starts back when settling in the running line from gate 2 and unable to reel in the deficit. Finishing best to arrive right on the line last start he has some claims.

SELECTIONS: MY UTLMATE BONDI (7), SIR BULSKI (2), BRIGHTON PRINCE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MY UTLMATE BONDI (7) to win

RACE NINE

MONORAIL (7) has the 40m to negotiate, yet he gets into this race nicely having been meeting stronger opponents in recent starts. Back in the running line last start he was mid-field behind MATATOKI which followed a down the line effort after making an error. This is well within reach.

GO AHEAD MAKEMYDAY (6) made a mess of the start last time at AP and that ended his chances. Wide off the track here 2 starts back when trying to make closing ground he couldn’t go on with it which followed successive placings. In this field he might just be able to sneak away with it.

SMOKEY NOVA (4) made a mess of the start from a 10m tape last start, ending her chances. Still looking for her 1st Qld success, the small field against this opposition gives her the chance.

SELECTIONS: MONORAIL (7), GO AHEAD MAKEMYDAY (6), SMOKEY NOVA (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MONORAIL (7) to win
