RACE TWO

The upcoming Oaks is shaping as a cracker and 2 of the main players will take on the older more seasoned combatants here. JIGGLE AND JIVE (5) gets the nod after her powerful last start victory. Sent to the front from gate 3, she kept them chasing in holding a 5m margin. The gate stings but she can take the home state advantage.

JENDEN STRIKE (9) lines up fresh from a spell at her 1st start in Qld for the visiting Frisby barn. A finalist in both the Vic and NSW Oaks, she was sent for a break after claiming the Young Oaks in March. Primed with a pair of handy trials, she can make a splash at her 1st jump here.

DATTITUDE (3) was a winner here 2 starts back over this trip when taking them all the way from this same gate. Nabbed up the passing lane last start when in front, he will be gripping on again in this.

MISS MONEYBAGS (1) was snagged back to the pegs from gate 5 in the same race as DATTITIUDE last start and was probing for inside run when 7m from the winner CORSINI. The options are a big plus.

SELECTIONS: JIGGLE AND JIVE (5), JENDEN STRIKE (9), DATTITUDE (3), MISS MONEYBAGS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: JIGGLE AND JIVE (5) to win

RACE THREE

PADRISIMO (9) joins the Charlie Cini stable and comes up with the 2nd line, a position he is used to facing. Drawn no closer than gate 6 in 17 of his past 18 appearances, he will be looking to get the right trail through early. Chasing from back in the pack at Tamworth his past 4, this is within reach.

ARTISITC SAINT (1) took on a similar race over the 2138m last start when able to find space to drop in for the trail behind the leader and winner IFOUNDTHEBEACH. Using the passing lane to be within 3m of the winner, he was too far back the start prior. With the benefit of the ace, he can challenge.

ARK ME (10) took on a mares qualifier last start at Redcliffe from inside the 2nd line and was soon buried in the run. Not too far from the winner TACT BESS 2 starts back, she can be chiming in here.

SPIKE ROBYN (6) will be better suited to the wider expanses of the Albion Park oval after making his Qld debut at Redcliffe last tine out. Fighting hard in the breeze, it was a sound effort and with added fitness is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: PADRISIMO (9), ARTISITC SAINT (1), ARK ME (10), SPIKE ROBYN (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

HAVING THE FAITH (10)
is after a hat-trick of victories after wins at the 2138m and then the mile last time out. Finishing over the top from this same gate last start to claim a smart win, it followed an all the way effort from gate 1 in putting his rivals away. With the right trail and the likelihood of a solid tempo, he can arrive once again.

WILL THE WIZARD (5) has delivered power running displays at his past 2 starts over the mile, spearing out to take control, then running his rivals off their feet in scoring successive victories in 1.52.4 and 1.52.5. Stepping up to the 2138m, if he can pinch a panel or 2 in front, he can land a threepeat.

CHEESANDKISSES (3) really caught the eye last start at Redcliffe, attacking the line with venom wide off the track in some slick closing panels. With an improved gate, she will be right in the fight.

BOMBADIER JUJON (7) doesn’t receive many favours from wide out in this, yet if he can find position cheaply, he is a podium chance. A strong winner last start over this trip, he can’t be ignored.

SELECTIONS: HAVING THE FAITH (10), WILL THE WIZARD (5), CHEESANDKISSES (3), BOMBADIER JUJON (7)
SUGGESTED BET: HAVING THE FAITH (10) each-way

RACE FIVE

BANGKOK BRAVADO (9) will strip fitter following his return from a spell last start when taking on the 2040m at Redcliffe. Crossed in the early stages from gate 1, his chances were not helped with a flat tyre when finishing not too far from them. In what looks a wide-open contest, he can strike.

HUNTAWAY (4) found the 1x1 trail in a 2nd division qualifier 2 starts back and was hitting the line in nice order to grab the silver when only a head from the winner. Doing some early work last start, he was in for the fight when within 2m of the winner in a blanket finish. This looks well within reach.

MOUNT HERCULES (5) will be 2nd up from a 16-month spell and is still only a maiden taking on some experienced campaigners. Returning in nice style over the Menangle mile, he is a podium chance.

GWENDALION (2) completed a hat-trick of victories last start to remain undefeated in Qld. Taking them all the was last start over the 1780m at Redcliffe, she steps it up again here, but her form is faultless.

SELECTIONS: BANGKOK BRAVADO (9), HUNTAWAY (4), MOUNT HERCULES (5), GWENDALION (2)
SUGGESTED BET: BANGKOK BRAVADO (9) to win

RACE SIX

ALBION ARK (3) was obliged to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way last start over the Redcliffe sprint trip. With the tempo set for a slick closing 800m, he was in for the fight in finishing 4m from the winner. With good early speed he can look to find the pegs and dictate to them here.

ROLL WITH ROCKY (4) chased gamely for the bronze behind WILL THE WIZARD 2 starts back in a slick mile. Angled to the pegs from gate 3 last start, he was hitting the line strongly when within 4m of the winner NOTORIUS, running some smart panels in the process. Settling handy, he can take his shot.

LEFT A HURRIKANE (5) looked to have found his race last start off the pole over the 2138m. Leading them all bar the most important stride, he was a half-head short of the prize. In the money at 5 of his past 6, he won’t be far away.

WARNER (10) made the closing play a winner last start, finishing hard over the top to claim a tidy victory. With the right early trail through, he can settle in a similar position to chime in late.

SELECTIONS: ALBION ARK (3), ROLL WITH ROCKY (4), LEFT A HURRIKANE (5), WARNER (10)
SUGGESTED BET: ALBION ARK (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (4)
returns for her 3rd racing preparation at her 10th start. Returning over the summer, her efforts were solid and plenty of winning form has come from each race she contested. Given a pair of trials to open the pipes for the return, she strikes a winnable target 1st up.

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (7) pressed ahead from this gate to take control last start and once out in front, ran home a tidy last 800m to claim a maiden victory. Tough in the breeze at Redcliffe 2 starts back, he will take confidence from the win and despite the tough gate can look to go again.

BLACK HAWK JOE (2) will be further tightened from his latest Menangle outing when 2nd up from a break. Fading in the closing stages, it had followed a tidy 1st up effort. From the gate, he can fire the 1st shot.

SIGNOR JUJON (5) had been winless this season prior to his last start, however it was not through lack of effort. Finally, things fell into place for him last start to break the hoodoo in a smart win and he can go on with it now it is out of the way.

SELECTIONS: TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (4), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (7), BLACK HAWK JOE (2), SIGNOR JUJON (5)
SUGGESTED BET: TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

A tricky 2YO race here where quite a few of the field have legitimate winning chances and 9 of the field have a win in their past 4 starts. Leaning to the filly JASPER (8) that will be resuming from a freshen after a last start 3rd in the Fillies Breeders. Forced to do it the tough way from a wide gate, she never shirked the task when within 4m of the winner. A smart winner 1st up, she just needs a rub of the green to arrive here.

COURAGEOUS SAM (5) put it all together last start to open his account after showing promise early in the season. Only lightly raced, he struck trouble 2nd up and then was beaten by the gate when chasing home CAPTAINS PICK in the Breeders Consolation. Kept fresh, he can challenge here.

CHAMONIX (9) was sent forward to position outside the leader last start after starting from the 2nd line. Grinding it out, he packed too many guns in cruising home to a 7m victory. Despite the gate he can look to repeat.

STEEVEN (1) led them up from this gate on debut when fading in the latter stages to be 9m in arrears of the winner SHERBETS CHOICE. Taking experience from the outing, he has place claims.

SELECTIONS: JASPER (8), COURAGEOUS SAM (5), CHAMONIX (9), STEEVEN (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-8-9

RACE NINE

LADY HILLARY (1) comes as a risk, however if she can get the manners in order from the release, she will be hard to stop in this. Making a mess at the start at both her appearances here at The Creek to date, she has really caught the eye in the amount of ground she has made up in each run. Just needs to step.

SOH TWISTED (4) on the other hand begins like a greyhound, stepping clean and fast when the tapes fly. After a long break without victory, she has really hit form in recent outings, finishing in the top-2 at 4 of her past 5 starts. Grabbed in the closing stages when leading at her past 2, she will be gripping on again.

CRAZY BEN (6) will take good benefit from his 1st start in Qld when doing it the tough way outside the leader from his 20m tape. Back to the 10m here, he can look to throw down the challenge.

JANSSON (11) has the 20m to overcome, however he has met tougher types his past 2. Fighting hard here on Tuesday when 8m from the winner AVEROSS DON, he is a podium player here.

SELECTIONS: LADY HILLARY (1), SOH TWISTED (4), CRAZY BEN (6), JANSSON (11)
SUGGESTED BET: LADY HILLARY (1) worth the risk

RACE TEN

AURORA (4) is a complete professional, completing a hat-trick of victories last start when stepping cleanly, going straight to the front and leading throughout to a comfortable 7m victory. He steps up to the 2138m for the 1st time in his career, but that appears that it will be no issue.

SHEGOTSASS (5) has been much sharper at her past 2 starts after striking trouble in transit at her previous 2. Closing strongly last start to grab 2nd behind AURORA after a scratchy beginning, she was tough in the breeze the start prior. With the benefit of 2138m experience, she can challenge.

NO LOVE ABOUT IT (6) racked up another placing last start when chasing home for 3rd behind AURORA. With nothing to show in 3 previous runs over this trip, he should appreciate meeting his own age at the distance.

SELECTIONS: AURORA (4), SHEGOTSASS (5), NO LOVE ABOUT IT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: AURORA (4) to win
