RACE TWO

PAGEANTRY (2) capitalised on the grass 2 starts back when finishing over the top of them in the closing stages to score. He never really warmed up to the task last start when trying to chase and with early bullets to fire, can be in the right type of position to make a play in a race that is wide open.

TICK OF THE CLOCK (4) eased from inside the 2nd line to work into the running line last start at Marburg and was required to be wide off he track when grabbing the silver. He did it the tough way when parked the start prior and if able to limit the workload here can make a challenge.

HARRY CROFT (9) could not get going last start on the grass at Kilcoy and the start prior was making late ground over the Redcliffe sprint trip when 5m away. He has podium claims here.

TRUMP EM BABE (7) was stuck out on a limb from the wide gate at Redcliffe last start when forced to retreat before attacking the line strongly over the closing stages. She has claims in this line-up.

SELECTIONS: PAGEANTRY (2), TICK OF THE CLOCK (4), HARRY CROFT (9), TRUMP EM BABE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: PAGEANTRY (2) to win

RACE THREE

PRESS STATEMENT (9)
worked across to find the pocket trail from gate 4 last start and was best of the rest as UNCLE SHANK carved it out in front. Fitter again after 3 runs back from a spell, he finds the right opposition to capitalise and despite the gate, he can arrive for the prize.

SAILOR GIRL (5) will take benefit from her 1st Qld appearance when returning from a spell. Required to hang tough when sitting outside the leader, her last appearance back in January was a gritty win when sent to the death from a wide gate at Junee. Rolling the sleeves here, she can throw it down.

BULLDOG BRAWLER (6) took full advantage of gate 1 last start when leading all the way. There is no luxury from the wide gate this time around but with even luck he has podium claims.

THATS FUNNY (8) continues to find the winning post out of reach but is consistent with placings in 4 of her past 5 starts. Gunned down last start when leading, she can be probing for gaps here.

SELECTIONS: PRESS STATEMENT (9), SAILOR GIRL (5), BULLDOG BRAWLER (6), THATS FUNNY (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

HIGH ON MONTANA (9)
was sent forward from gate 5 last start over the mile and asked to do it the tough way, was grinding it out when holding on for the bronze. Striking trouble the start prior, he was only collared late 3 runs back. Pressing through early, he can finish over the top of them here.

ALBERIO (4) has the solitary win to his name and has not been sighted at the races since last September. Lining up here for the Cernovskis stable for the first time, he has trialled twice in readiness for the return, the latest a tidy hit out. He will need some factors in his favour but can challenge fresh.

TUAKANA (1) had to hang tough when forced to sit parked at Marburg last start and was game in defeat as the winner secured the inside passage. With early hustle, he will be in the firing line.

SHEZ GOT BLING (6) has found some good form with 3 wins in her past 4 starts and a 2nd in the other appearance. The wider gate stings but with her pattern to close out hard, look for her charging.

SELECTIONS: HIGH ON MONTANA (9), ALBERIO (4), TUAKANA (1), SHEZ GOT BLING (6)
SUGGESTED BET: HIGH ON MONTANA (9) to win

RACE FIVE

It has been a mixed season for the obviously talented 2YO I AM SPARTA (3) where tractability issues have proven to derail his performances. A starting error last time in a strong race claimed by the benchmark juvenile in DANGERZONE, he has looked good in a pair of trials. Look for a bounce back.

CLARENDEN DAZZLER (2) is now 2 from 3 in Qld after adding a Marburg win to his victory on the grass at Kilcoy. Leading throughout on both occasions, he lands the alley to pounce on the poles again here and despite this being a rise from what he has faced recently, he is up to the task.

SCHEU CREEK (9) has not been too far away since winning at Marburg 3 starts back an draws to get the right trail through in the early stages in this to be in the mix.

NON PASSARE (1) is hard to hunt down but lands the gate for the easy ride here. A winner from the pocket trail 3 starts back, he can be in the right position to make a closing play.

SELECTIONS: I AM SPARTA (3), CLARENDEN DAZZLER (2), SCHEU CREEK (9), NON PASSARE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: I AM SPARTA (3) to win

RACE SIX

GET READY TO ROCK (3)
was warming up to a win after 3 successive placings when going agonisingly close on each occasion with the 3 margins being a half-neck twice and a nose in the other. Pressing on to the front last start, she took control and fought them off for a deserved win. She can go again.

GUIDO DA SIENA (10) has mixed his form in 3 starts since arriving in Qld and comes into this off a freshen. Eased from gate 6 to find running line position last start, he never really warmed up as MISS MIA took the win. Doing plenty of work in defeat the start prior, with the right trip he can sharpen up in this.

DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (1) tackled a stand start event last time out at Marburg when forced to work hard in the run in holding on for 3rd. A passing lane winner 4 runs back, she can be ready to strike.

MY ULTIMATE BONDI (9) was 2nd up following the switch of stables last start when hitting the line in nice order to be 6m in arrears of the winner. Following through early, he is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: GET READY TO ROCK (3), GUIDO DA SIENA (10), DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (1), MY ULTIMATE BONDI (9)
SUGGESTED BET: GET READY TO ROCK (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

With the 2138m asking a question of a few of the opponents here, LORD DIGBY (9) might just be able to follow through early with the right trip. With a top record over the middle-distance and in form with a top-3 at his past 3 in succession, he looks to have found the right conditions to strike.

IMFEELINGIT (1) has been kept fresh since his last outing when fading over the Redcliffe 2040m trip and earning a stand down for the poor effort. Switching barns back to the Ricky Thurlow team, he earned the return with a tidy trial hit out and comes up with the gate to be an improver.

CALA JANE (4) was making her 1st appearance in Qld last time out when working home strongly from the rear of the pack at Redcliffe to grab the silver. With added fitness she has claims in this.

GLENLEDI BOY (11) was beaten by a wide gate last start when forced to retreat and then with the power on up front could not get into the contest. Only a half-neck away 2 runs back, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: LORD DIGBY (9), IMFEELINGIT (1), CALA JANE (4), GLENLEDI BOY (11)
SUGGESTED BET: LORD DIGBY (9) to win

RACE NINE

BLUE MOON RISING (1) loves a cosy trip in behind the speed before charging home in the closing stages and this profiles with the ideal scenario to suit. Eased to the pegs before charging home to score at Redcliffe 4 runs back and following hat with a qualifying 3rd. He can arrive in this.

FEELS LIKA WINNER (3) tackled a mare’s qualifier 3 starts back and clashed with the airborne SCARLET BABE, finishing down the line. Taken to the Redcliffe 1780m at her next start when finishing over the top to score, she was only 4 away last time and can make a challenge here.

HAVING THE FAITH (4) is never too far from the action and can work in his races if required. Sent to the breeze last start and then within 3m of the winner, he can feature in this battle.

THE CROUPIER (8) was asked to work in the run last start and wilted in the latter stages. That followed successive 2nd place returns. Freshened, if the gaps arrive, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: BLUE MOON RISING (1), FEELS LIKA WINNER (3) HAVING THE FAITH (4), THE CROUPIER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BLUE MOON RISING (1) to win
