RACE TWO

Still searching for his first victory here at The Creek, KASH US BACK (10) might just have found the right conditions to take advantage of here. Buried in the run last start when angled to the pegs, it followed a swooping win at Redcliffe. There looks some good front line pressure here and he can make the closing play a winner.

MY ULTIMATE STAR (8) found the space to get in behind the leader from gate 3 here last time out and it proved the winning play, taking his shot up the passing lane to claim a PB win rate in 1.53.8. Gunned down by KASH US BACK the start prior, he can get the economical trip to strike here.

TWO TIMES BETTOR (2) claimed victory here 3 starts back when sent forward to wrestle away the lead and prove too strong thereafter. Forced to do some early work last start, she is in the mix.

JUMPING JACK JIMMY (1) could not hold the leaders back here last start and was soon buried in the run. A leader and winner from gate 5 here 3 starts back at the 2138m, he can hustle early, his chances resting on whether he can pinch a panel.

SELECTIONS: KASH US BACK (10), MY ULTIMATE STAR (8), TWO TIMES BETTOR (2), JUMPING JACK JIMMY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: KASH US BACK (10) to win

RACE THREE

Several chances in this contest with the early speed and pressure not looking overly strong. Arriving in Qld with successive wins next to his name DEIGHTFUL DUDE (4) just got too far back in the Redcliffe Derby from gate 9 and then gate 6 was his undoing last time. He can make his own luck here to capitalise.

ROCK FISHERMAN (13) was stepping out in Qld for the 1st time here last week when tackling a qualifier and retreating early from gate 7. Attacking the line strongly in the closing stages, he was able to grab the bronze. A smart winner 2 runs back, he can get the right cart home to make a play.

CHAMONIX (1) charged home from back in the pack to grab 2nd behind the filly JASPER in an APG Final 3 runs back and then has just been a level below them his next 2. The gate gives him every chance to make a claim in this.

THE ROCKNROLL KING (2) is yet to miss the board in 5 attempts here at The Creek the latest when grabbing 3rd from the pocket trail and using the passing lane. He will be close enough to chime in.

SELECTIONS: DEIGHTFUL DUDE (4), ROCK FISHERMAN (13), CHAMONIX (1), THE ROCKNROLL KING (2)
SUGGESTED BET: DEIGHTFUL DUDE (4) to win

RACE FOUR

What an absolute cracking mares’ race this will be and really sets it up for the G1 Golden Girl. A lot will depend on the early action but JERADAS DELIGHT (8) profiles to get the perfect trip and has the closing power to take full advantage. Charging along the inside to arrive here 2 starts back, she was completely luckless last time when buried and no space presented. She can arrive.

OUR PRINCESS TIFFANY (1) comes into this battle fresh since her last start effort from a 30m handicap at Launceston. Too classy over the long trip at Hobart 3 starts back, she has great early speed and has the class to keep them wide and if froward enough can fight them off.

SPELLBOUND (7) is the query runner and given no favours from gate 7 but her form suggest she can be a major force. Overcoming a small field last start in a sizzling Menangle mile, she can chime in.

SCARLET BABE (2) landed the 2nd line last start and was sent to the post as fav. Trying to make a late rally when within 4m of the winner, she can tuck in behind the heat here to loom in the stretch.

SELECTIONS: JERADAS DELIGHT (8), OUR PRINCESS TIFFANY (1), SPELLBOUND (7), SCARLET BABE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: JERADAS DELIGHT (8) win/place.

RACE FIVE

This consolation of The Rising Sun is a great race and after being close to a berth in the big one with his half-brother CRUNCH TIME, CAPTAIN CRUSADER (3) can earn the family a win here. Chasing hard behind KRUG to grab 2nd in the Redcliffe Derby 2 starts back, he was too slick here on Tuesday. With his first front line gate since arriving in Qld this trip, he can make the most of his chances.

WILL THE WIZARD (6) fired off the arm when looking to take them all the way here last week in a Band 4 event but was unable to see it out when nabbed up the passing lane. His previous 2 starts he made costly errors, while 4 back he claimed the 4YO Triad with a smart win. He can bounce back.

ITALIAN LAD (12) was sent forward last start from gate 7 and asked to work hard in the run in attempting to push for a spot in the Rising Sun. Game in defeat when within 3m of the swooping SPIRIT OF ST LOUIS, he can chime in here.

WATTS UP SUNSHINE (2) was last seen in the Redcliffe Derby when midfield behind KRUG. Too strong the start prior in a handy 3YO event, he has he speed to fire the early bullets here and will be ready to strike late.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN CRUSADER (3), WILL THE WIZARD (6), ITALIAN LAD (12), WATTS UP SUNSHINE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-3-6-12

RACE SIX

Firmly entrenched on the throne as Australia’s best horse KING OF SWING (6) was clinical in his demolition last start over the 2680m trip. Allowed to balance early, he moved around to assume control and was never in danger thereafter when a closing split of 26.6 saw him barely raise a sweat. Despite the gate, onward he marches.

SPANKEM (5) pressed on to take control last start over the mile with the leading duties coming at a cost of a 26.8 opener which ultimately proved too costly. Game when parked and holding on for 3rd to KING OF SWING 2 starts back, he can look to get forward here to make the challenge.

L L COOL J (12) dipped his toe in the water with the Redcliffe Cup and made a splash when pressing to the front and then scoring a string win. He jumps straight in the deep end here courtesy of lane 12, but taking every step put in front since arriving, he gets a chance to make a closing play here.

COLT THIRTY ONE (4) will be further tightened from his latest outing when midfield over the mile when 2nd up from a spell. Working hard in the run he was within 5m of the winner COPY THAT and while he may need to work hard again here, is never far from the action.

SELECTIONS: KING OF SWING (6), SPANKEM (5), L L COOL J (12), COLT THIRTY ONE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: KING OF SWING (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

The race had a false dawn last year that saw its cancellation but the horizon is dripping in gold in 2021 as The Rising Sun will bathe The Creek in shining light. Undefeated on this track, EXPENSIVE EGO (9) has been defeated once at his past 7 starts, that being at the hooves of KING OF SWING in the Miracle Mile. Despite the gate, he looks mighty hard to hold out.

KRUG (1) holds many of the keys to unlock the treasure chest of cash on offer for this race. Will he lead? Will he hand up and retake? Will he take a sit? One thing is for certain, off the back of his demolition of the 3YOs in the Redcliffe Derby, he will be throwing down an enormous challenge in this. Can a star 3YO beat a star 4YO, this race will answer that question.

BLACKSADANCE (8) pressed forward from gate 5 to take control last start and after working hard to get there continued to duke it out, making EXPENSIVE EGO earn the victory at the mile in a rate that was quicker than the WONDAIS MATE. With a cosy trip, he looks good value to place.
COPY THAT (13) produced one of the most scintillating closing 100m seen at The Creek when right lined at right angles and like a shot out of a cannon charged home to score in the Wondais Mate FFA. Does he wait for one closing shot or try to work into it mid-race. What a cracker this race shapes as.

SELECTIONS: EXPENSIVE EGO (9), KRUG (1), BLACKSADANCE (8), COPY THAT (13)
SUGGESTED BET: EXPENSIVE EGO (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

The second-round heats of the DJA are over the 2138m which will make it tougher for the back marker MAJESTIC SIMON (10) but he has the speed to capitalise. Trying to reel in HUMBLE LADD in the first round, he made a closing play but came up 4m short. That followed successive wins and he can bounce back here.

PINK GALAHS (9) charged home from back in the pack to score a smart win in the first-round heats, rounding them up and cruising past to claim a 5m winning margin. That was her first win this season but having clashed against the best of the best in Victoria, if she is close enough here, a sweep of the Series is well within reach.

GODOFTHUNDER (4) claimed the Redcliffe Cup 2 starts back when driven from the front and keeping them chasing throughout. He tried to repeat that last start when only collared in the closing strides and will be right in the fight once again.

SIR FAHRENHEIT (7) was asked to grind it out last start over the long trip and was still giving in the closing stages when 3m in arrears of the winner HUMBLE LADD. A return to the 2138m might just be the tonic to throw it down here.
SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC SIMON (10), PINK GALAHS (9), GODOFTHUNDER (4), SIR FAHRENHEIT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC SIMON (10) to win

RACE NINE

This will be a great teaser for the upcoming G1 Triads with a superb field of juveniles to do battle. Undefeated in 3 career starts DANGERZONE (5) does look the top seed with his last start victory a smart effort from gate 6 when sent forward. He might not get forward this time with some early speed, but he looks the one they need to beat.

TEDDY DISCO (1) has taken giant strides to press his own claim for the bragging rights as the states best 2YO and was far superior to his rivals last start in the Redcliffe Sales Final. His only defeat in 4 starts came at the hooves of DANGERZONE and from the gate he gets all the options to take this.

MY ULTIMATE BAXTER (7) has been given a freshen since his last appearance when scoring a tough win when sitting parked against the older horses. Too classy on debut, he has the tough gate here fresh, but cannot be underestimated.

RACY ROXY (4) tackled the older horses last start when holding them wide from gate 1 and leading throughout to an effortless victory. Tightened from that run, which was her first since the Breeders Classic, she will have the head down to try her hardest in this.

SELECTIONS: DANGERZONE (5), TEDDY DISCO (1), MY ULTIMATE BAXTER (7), RACY ROXY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: DANGERZONE (5) to win

RACE TEN

HUMBLE LADD (9) made a perfect start to his Australian career when sent around them in the middle stages to find the breeze and from there was able to see it out in claiming a narrow victory. Fitter for the run after a three-month gap between starts, he can look for maximum points once again.

RED CASTLETON (6) did not have the smoothest passage in transit and could have finished much closer with a better trip. He was still able to make a closing play to grab 3rd when within 2m of the winner HUMBLE LADD and from the 10m tape he can be a player in this series.

GOLD CHAIN (8) had plenty to offer here last week but was able to show none of it when trapped in behind a wilting leader. Finding the space late to grab the bronze, she looks right in the mix here.

OUR OVERANOVA (10) loomed up stylishly in the first-round heat, but the legs were just a little weary as PINK GALAHS flew from the rear to overrun him late. The middle-distance is a little tougher but he can feature

SELECTIONS: HUMBLE LADD (9), RED CASTLETON (6), GOLD CHAIN (8), OUR OVERANOVA (10)
SUGGESTED BET: RED CASTLETON (6) win/place
