Racing Queensland has advised that patrons will be permitted to return to all venues from Sunday, July 4.

With lockdown restrictions for the LGAs of Brisbane and Moreton Bay LGAs concluding at 6pm tonight, tomorrow’s greyhound meeting at Albion Park will be able to proceed with patrons, as will the Redcliffe Harness Racing Club meeting on the Peninsula.

The following restrictions will remain in place:

  • Essential Racing Personnel are required to wear a face mask at all times including indoors, stabling/kennelling areas, in mounting yards, behind barriers, starting boxes etc. Jockeys and drivers are not required to wear a face mask whilst racing but must wear a face mask at all other times;
  • Mandatory temperature testing for ‘Essential Racing Personnel’ is required at all TAB  meetings across the state; and
  • Owners are permitted access to Core Racing Areas at race meetings, but are required to wear a face mask.
