RACE TWO

IM THE COMMANDO (3) will have his 2nd attempt from the mobile since arriving in Qld and lands a much better gate 2nd time around. Starting inside the 2nd line in that 1st outing, he was buried in the run before hitting the line in nice style when the gaps appeared. He looks hard to stop here.

SPIRIT WALKER (6) has been kept fresh since her last outing when giving IM THE COMMANDO 30m from the tapes and running some nice closing sections when not too far away. A strong winner over the longer 2647m trip the start prior, she can work in her races and can throw down the challenge.

LAVROS TEXAS (11) resumes from a break after making an error in a strong mobile event when starting as the race fav. Winning his previous 2 in succession, he has trialled well and is in the mix.

WHATABOYZ (5) has shown good speed off the arm and from this gate can get himself in a handy position early. Not far away 2 back from the 10m tape, he was a nice 2nd at his last mobile outing.

SELECTIONS: IM THE COMMANDO (3), SPIRIT WALKER (6), LAVROS TEXAS (11), WHATABOYZ (5)
SUGGESTED BET: IM THE COMMANDO (3) to win

RACE THREE

Another race for the square gaiters and can this be the day that ARNOLD (8) can put it all together. He made a mess of things when resuming and lost all chance with a gait break. 2nd up when taking on the mobile 2138m, he was gunned down after working in the breeze. Look the bounce back.

MISTER OZ (9) has found form and been in the money at his past 6 starts. Last start when spearing out from gate 6 under mobile conditions, he led them for every stride bar the most important one, grabbed up the passing lane. A tough 2nd under similar conditions 2 starts back, he can go close.

AICHBECHATEAUNOIR (4) found the line in good order at Marburg to grab the silver 3 starts back. Rolling along in front last start she scored a huge Redcliffe win and can be in the right position here.

STONED AGAIN (11) pressed ahead to take control from a 30m tape at Marburg last start and was only wore down in the closing stages. A dead-heat winner here 2 back, he will be right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: ARNOLD (8), MISTER OZ (9), AICHBECHATEAUNOIR (4), STONED AGAIN (11)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 4-8-9-11

RACE FOUR

ANOTHER STATEMENT (8)
has been runner-up in 2 of his 3 career outings with all 3 coming from 2nd line barriers. He was attacking the line strongly last start when 3m from the winner MUMMYS BOY after being hampered in the early stages. He will need some luck again, but can breakthrough.

TALENT IN SPADES (4) started in red figures last start at Redcliffe and after having an early dip for the front found the pocket trail. With the leader hoisting the white flag at the 250m, she was then left to chase with the winner already able to scoot clear. A smart beginner, she will be in the fight.

BARONE (6) can be forgive for his latest start when a gear issue ended his day. That was his best gate after his previous 3 were from wide or 2nd line and despite another wide alley, he is in the mix.

TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (5) is on debut for the Wayne Graham barn and is a filly out of the G1 winner TORQUE IN MOTION. Doing everything right in a recent trial, she stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: ANOTHER STATEMENT (8), TALENT IN SPADES (4), BARONE (6), TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ANOTHER STATEMENT (8) to win

RACE FIVE

TIMELESS APPEAL (5) found the front from gate 4 here 3 starts back over the mile and once in control was never in danger, setting a new career benchmark in 1.55.1. Starting from gate 10 in both the heat and final of a Gold Pot Series at her past 2 starts, she will relish the return to the front line.

IMFEELINGIT (1) made his Qld debut on Thurs at AP when sent forward from gate 6 he was working hard in the run and fought on gamely to be 8m from the winner. Taking benefit from the run and with the good alley, he can look to take a closing shot.

AUNTY BESSY (2) makes her AP debut for the visiting Frisby team and arrives with placings at her past 3 starts. Grabbed late after leading them up last start, she won’t be too far away here.

IM NO OUTLAW (9) comes through the recent Gold Pot Series where he was a strong heat winner after doing all the work in the breeze. Too far back in the final, he will be in the fight here.

SELECTIONS: TIMELESS APPEAL (5), IMFEELINGIT (1), AUNTY BESSY (2), IM NO OUTLAW (9)
SUGGESTED BET: TIMELESS APPEAL (5) to win

RACE SIX

In a very tricky race to line up, with tactics and position in the run sure to be vital, THE IDEAL DANCER (5) gets the nod on top. Only beaten 5m in a recent 2nd division qualifier, he charged home from back in the pack 2 starts back when 3.5m off the winner. This looks within reach.

GREGS LEGACY (4) was always facing a task last start from the get-go after landing gate 7. Taken back early to find position, it was then a power battle up front, with OLIVER WINKLE taking the prize in a white-hot mile. Not far away from FAME ASSURED 2 starts back, he is right in the fight here.

THATS HOW WEROLL (1) will take benefit from his latest outing when 2nd up from a let-up. Buried in the run, he found the line in good order. With options from the gate he is in the mix.

IMA BIRUBI BOY (8) will need some factors in his favour, but with the benefit of a cosy trip will be probing for openings. Not far away last start, he can chime in when the gaps arrive.

SELECTIONS: THE IDEAL DANCER (5), GREGS LEGACY (4), THATS HOW WEROLL (1), IMA BIRUBI BOY (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

LIVING AGAIN (12) was taken back from gate 6 last start and was a long way back in the pack over this trip. Looking for gaps that never fully opened, he went to the line with plenty to offer but was untested. He will find this easier than his past 2 outings when not beaten far and he can prevail.

IMTHE GOLDEN CHILD (2) looked to have his chance last start and loomed up on the home turn like he was going to run away with the prize, yet didn’t go on with it. 3 starts back he charged home strongly from back in the pack and with the benefit of his best gate for some time, can feature.

TOMEARA (5) was buried away in the pack last start from gate 12 and was always facing a task as NORTHVIEW HUSTLER took control in front. His run 3 starts back was full of merit and he has claims.

BEAU CISHLOM (9) would have finished closer than the 2m margin with a cleaner run last start when finding the line in good order. With the right trail through early here, he can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: LIVING AGAIN (12), IMTHE GOLDEN CHILD (2), TOMEARA (5), BEAU CISHLOM (9)
SUGGESTED BET: LIVING AGAIN (12) to win

RACE EIGHT

BILL HALEY (11)
will make his Aus debut for Darrel Graham and arrives as a four-time winner in the North Island of NZ. He will be 1st up from a spell but has opened the pipes well and truly in a sharp trial. Attacking the line with venom the last 100m, he can be flying low and flying wide to rock the joint 1st up.

KEY LARGO (1) was sent to the breeze from a 2nd line gate in the early stages last start and was in for the fight over the sprint trip, only fading in the closing stages. A winner 1st up here 3 starts back when leading, he can look to capitalise from the gate.

LEFT A TERROR (8) started fav last time out and was tracking home strongly wide off the track when 2m from the winner. He will strip fitter from the run and with a cosy trip will probe for the gaps.

OUR UNCLE ALAN (3) was strong from gate 6 over the Bathurst 1730m trip 2 starts back when holding on for silver behind the smart COLLEGE CHAPEL. Forget his latest start, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: BILL HALEY (11), KEY LARGO (1), LEFT A TERROR (8), OUR UNCLE ALAN (3)
SUGGESTED BET: BILL HALEY (11) to win

RACE NINE

MUCH BETTOR (8)
has been in great touch and added another minor last start when hitting the line strongly in the closing stages for the silver behind MO CASINO who has since won strongly again. Sprinting sharply to win 2 starts back he will be coiled and ready to strike.

SOMWHEREOVARAINBOW (1) was a winner 3 starts back when finishing over the top in a slogging go after VASARI opened the field up over this trip. Runner-up in his 2 starts since, the latest when beaten a half-neck after being buried away, he will need to hustle hard to protect the pegs.

THE ANNOUNCER (7) returned a nice effort at his 1st Qld appearance last time out when closing out in good style over the mile to grab 3rd. The gate doesn’t help but he will be working home strongly.

ALWAYS IN COMMAND (4) makes his Qld debut for the visiting Scott Hewitt team and was given a solid trial hit-out, setting the tempo in the trial claimed by BILL HALEY. He stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: MUCH BETTOR (8), SOMWHEREOVARAINBOW (1), THE ANNOUNCER (7), ALWAYS IN COMMAND (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MUCH BETTOR (8) to win

RACE TEN

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (8)
has been in consistent form with a top-3 in 8 of his past 10 appearances. Not suited from gate 7 last start he was finding the line in good style when 2nd to FEELINGFORAMIRACLE. Only beaten a flared nostril from gate 7 here 2 starts back, with even luck he can arrive.

OUR DELIGHT (9) was shooting for a hat-trick of wins last start when finishing 9m in arrears after starting from gate 9. A passing lane winner at Redcliffe 2 starts back, she can trail through in the early stages to find position and look to issue a closing challenge.

NADEEN FRANCO (5) took up the lamp lighting roles at her Qld return last start over the mile. After a steady opening 1200m, she was under pressure but rallied to hold 3rd. She can be thereabouts again.

STUDLEIGH STRIDE (3) covered plenty of territory last start when wide for a long way and was keen in the run. A winner here 4 starts back when leading throughout, he wasn’t ideally suited at his next 2 and can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: RECIPE FOR DREAMING (8), OUR DELIGHT (9), NADEEN FRANCO (5), STUDLEIGH STRIDE (3)
SUGGESTED BET:
