RACE TWO

CELTIC CRUZA (5) rolled to the breeze from gate 3 last start and was forced to race tough, only fading in the closing stages in a sharp mile carved out by COREY WILLIAM. The start prior he was 4m away in a qualifier from the pocket trail. Back to the triangle is a big plus and he can grind it out.

FRENCH GLOBE (1) was snagged back from gate 4 last start and the tempo made it hard for the chasers when not too far away from MISTER BLACKJACK. Not suited when doing the early work here 2 starts back, he lands the gate to hustle early and protect the pegs and will be gripping on.

RIVERLEIGH WILLIAM (8) secured the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line last start and took full use of the passing lane to arrive for the prize. With the options to look for the pegs, he is in the mix.

SUBTLE DELIGHT (9) was buried away against the pegs last start and found the line in good order behind PINUP BOY. Only 3m in arrears behind the smart BUNDABURRA 2 starts back, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: CELTIC CRUZA (5), FRENCH GLOBE (1), RIVERLEIGH WILLIAM (8), SUBTLE DELIGHT (9)
SUGGESTED BET: CELTIC CRUZA (5) to win

RACE THREE

TUAPEKEA LIGHT (3) returns from a break without the benefit of a trial and will also be having her 1st look at Redcliffe. Making the most of conditions to lead throughout for victory over the AP 2138m last start, she will have some early options here and with a smart record since arriving in Qld, can extend it here.

STAR OF MONTANA (8) found his race last start and sent to the front from gate 3 was able to get  2nd stanza breather before ramping the tempo and closing out strongly to claim a comfortable 4m victory. With the right run in transit here, look for him throwing down the challenge.

FOR ALL WE KNOW (4) makes her 1st race appearance for the Dixon barn after changing ownership and will be 1st up from a spell. She looked sharp in a recent trial win and connections will have an eye on some bigger upcoming features.

SPECIAL RESERVE (5) started a short-priced fav last start and justified the quote when sent straight to the front from gate 3 and proving too strong. With good speed off the arm, she can be in the right position to challenge.

SELECTIONS: TUAPEKEA LIGHT (3), STAR OF MONTANA (8), FOR ALL WE KNOW (4), SPECIAL RESERVE (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

This Final is for those pacers that progressed following 2 heats with RED CHARMER (1) claiming a heat victory at her 1st look at Redcliffe. Settling in the 1x1 trail, she packed too many guns to swoop over the top to victory. With all the favours from the ace, she looks set to dictate terms here.

LEXUS ON THE BEACH (8) rolled forward to face the breeze in his heat and was game to the line in holding on for the silver behind RED CHARMER. Closing out nicely from back in the pack over the AP mile 2 starts back, he can do the work in his races and can be put in the fight early here.

LIKEALLOFUS (9) claimed victory in the other heat when spearing across from gate 3 to take them all the way. That was his 1st win in a mixed season and if the pace is too hot early will be swooping.

SPORTS BOUNTY (4) has placed at his past 3 in succession, the latest when holding on for the silver behind LIKEALLOFUS after working hard in the run from gate 6. He won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: RED CHARMER (1), LEXUS ON THE BEACH (8), LIKEALLOFUS (9), SPORTS BOUNTY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: RED CHARMER (1) to win

RACE FIVE

Two Heats for this 3YO Sales Final were held last Wed and HIPSTAR (10) couldn’t have been anymore impressive in claiming his heat. Rolling forward to the breeze from gate 5, he was content to roll the sleeves and pulled away in the stretch to claim a 6m victory. Only 5m from FIRST STRING in the Triad 4 starts back, he can overcome the tough alley.

SIGNORINA JUJON (2) was the other heat winner when leading throughout to claim the prize. Allowed to dictate in front, the tempo only went into the race the last 300m and she was able to sizzle home to score. That was her best gate for some time and with another nice alley, she will give a sight.

BOULDER CITY (5) went back from this gate in the heats and was attacking the line strongly to sneak into the final. With slick speed off the arm, they might just light him up early and getting forward would help his chances.

REGULUS (7) faces a tough gate as he looks to complete the 2YO/3YO double. The tempo and pattern of the race made it tough for the chasers in his heat. He will need to come around them.

SELECTIONS: HIPSTAR (10), SIGNORINA JUJON (2), BOULDER CITY (5), REGULUS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: HIPSTAR (10) to win

RACE SIX

HEAVENS HURRICANE (2)
started from inside the 2nd line last start over the AP mile and was probing for a gap when his momentum was stalled behind a tiring leader. Locked in the pocket the start prior at Marburg, he returns to the sprint trip with the gate to take control and dictate.

MORROCH BAY (8) worked home in smart style to claim a restricted race over the 2138m at AP 4 starts back and followed that with placings at his next 2 when beaten a half-neck and then a neck. Forget his last start where it didn’t suit, he can trail through to a handy spot in running in this.

THREE MUGS IN (9) was sent to the breeze from the 2nd line last start and was in for the fight when beaten a half-neck. Not suited in a sharp mile set by VASARI the start prior, he is in the mix here.

WHERES THE SPIRIT (7) will need a slice of luck from this gate but of the gaps can arrive, he can be charging home. He found the line nicely from a long way back last start and will be searching.

SELECTIONS: HEAVENS HURRICANE (2), MORROCH BAY (8), THREE MUGS IN (9), WHERES THE SPIRIT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: HEAVENS HURRICANE (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

LINCOLNS GIRL (1) will shoot for a hat-trick of victories as she lines up for her 1st race on the triangle. Sweeping a recent Gold Pot Series at AP, she was too strong in the Final after facing the breeze from gate 4 and claiming a 4m victory. Hustling early, she can use this as a Redcliffe Oaks warm-up.

SOULWRITER (7) has been in the money at all 4 starts since arriving in Qld, the past 3 of those when taking on mares qualifying races. An all the way winner when 1st up in the Sunshine State, she has been run down when leading at each of the past 3. With the cosy trip, she will be ready to strike.

ESCALERA (8) started from gate 7 last start over the AP 2138m and was wide in getting to the breeze and the run was fair when 9m from the winner. With the right cart into the contest he can feature.

LIFES BLACK (9) has been freshened since his last appearance when claiming the silver in the Triad final behind FIRST STRING, only beaten a head. Opening the pipes with a sharp trial, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: LINCOLNS GIRL (1), SOULWRITER (7), ESCALERA (8), LIFES BLACK (9)
SUGGESTED BET: LINCOLNS GIRL (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

GOOD AS IT GETS (3)
will make his 1st appearance at Redcliffe after 6 career starts that have seen him in the money at 4 of those outings. A strong winner 3 starts back to break the maiden tag, he has been runner-up the past 2, both behind the smart GOVERNOR JUJON. He looks tough to stop.

MERAVIGLIA (4) made the most of gate 1 at AP 2 starts back when leading throughout and only really turning up the heat in the last 300m. Not suited after restraining from gate 6 in the APG heat claimed by PELOSI last start, she has been freshened and can be in the mix.

BETTERTHANLEGO (1) worked into the running line from inside the 2nd line when on debut and found the line in nice style to grab the silver. With the added race experience, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: GOOD AS IT GETS (3), MERAVIGLIA (4), BETTERTHANLEGO (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GOOD AS IT GETS (3) to win
