RACE TWO

CELTIC CRUZA (10) faces a tricky gate here and will likely need to make a mid-race move, but he finds the right type of opponents that he might just be able to outlast. 2 starts back he had to do it too tough in the breeze outside MYMATEPOG and then last start inside the 2nd line didn’t suit his pattern. He is worth a throw at the stumps.

LUCKY UNLUCKY (7) held the 1x1 trail last start from the 2nd line and was trying to reel in ground off the winner AT WEST POINT who held a 9m margin in a sizzling mile. Working home soundly the start prior from a wide gate behind ROGER THAT, he will be fitter following 3 runs back from a break.

THE BIG CHEESE (9) will be further tightened from his latest offering when grabbing the bronze behind AT WEST POINT, hitting the line in good order, albeit well beaten. This looks more suitable.

CIRCLE LINE (5) has not been to headquarters for a few starts, traversing the triangle at his past 6 starts. Strong in the breeze 2 starts back over the 1780m, he can bob up here at a price.

SELECTIONS: CELTIC CRUZA (10), LUCKY UNLUCKY (7), THE BIG CHEESE (9), CIRCLE LINE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: CELTIC CRUZA (10) each-way

RACE THREE

LEFT A HURRIKANE (1)
started from this gate last time out but didn’t have the hustle to repel NOTORIUS who took up the running and took them all the way. Holding on for the silver, he was too far back the start prior from a 2nd line gate behind SOHO TSUNAMI. He gets his chance to dictate.

FEARLESS FAITH (8) sat in the running line from gate 9 last start when chiming in for 3rd behind NOTORIUS, finishing 3m in arrears of the victor. A beaten fav the start prior when forced to do it the tough way over this trip, she can get the economical run here and be ready to take the snipers shot.

SIGNORINA JUJON (4) has been to the track on 4 occasions since resuming from a spell and been placed in all 4. Grinding it out in the breeze last start at Redcliffe for a tough 3rd, she has podium claims again here.

A RAINBOW DIAMOND (7) does not receive any favours from this alley, however might find this a touch easier than her past 2 when running into GOVERNOR JUJON at Redcliffe, the latest when closing nicely for the bronze.

SELECTIONS: LEFT A HURRIKANE (1), FEARLESS FAITH (8), SIGNORINA JUJON (4), A RAINBOW DIAMOND (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-7-8

RACE FOUR

LADY HILLARY (3)
was 1st up in Aus last start when meeting with plenty of market support that saw her go out an odds-on elect. Making a mess of the start, after 400m she was at least 100m from the leader. In a real get on me next time run, she made up the ground and then went to the wire probing for openings in the pack. Just needs to step.

CRAZY BEN (7) arrives in Qld joining the Ryan Veivers barn after racing at Menangle in recent times. Locked away on the pegs over the mobile mile last start, it was a sound effort when mid-field to FORESTSPIDER. Not too far away 3 starts back, he has a handy record from the tapes and stays under notice.

SOH TWISTED (4) has found some form, finishing in the money at 3 of her past 4, including a win here 4 starts back. Pressing on to the front from the 20m tape last start, she was collared in the closing strides and can feature again.

CINKARI (1) was 2nd up from a break last start when following the pegs to grab the bronze from his 10m tape. Fitter for the outing, he can look to be in the mix again with the 10m advantage.

SELECTIONS: LADY HILLARY (3), CRAZY BEN (7), SOH TWISTED (4), CINKARI (1)
SUGGESTED BET: LADY HILLARY (3) to win

RACE FIVE

CORSINI (1)
has taken on a mares qualifiers at all 3 starts in Qld, placing at the past 2. Locked away 3 back from inside the 2nd line when 2nd up, she was probing for gaps that didn’t arrive until too late when falling a neck short of the prize. Forced to grind it out in the breeze last start, she can take the snipers shot here.

HANDSOME HERO (4) has been in the money at his past 2 starts, the latest when hitting the line in good order behind the impressive winner ROLL WITH LACHLAN. Charging home the start prior from a 2nd line gate, if he can find a handy spot from this gate, he can be challenging in the stretch.

DATTITUDE (2) worked straight to the front from the three-hole over this trip last start and keeping the speed on throughout was able to score a strong win. In super touch, he can look to dictate again.

LAUGHING EMOJI (8) met a strong mares line-up last start when chiming in late to grab the bronze. A winner at her previous 2 starts, she will get the easy trip and be probing for the gaps to offer.

SELECTIONS: CORSINI (1), HANDSOME HERO (4), DATTITUDE (2), LAUGHING EMOJI (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-8

RACE SIX

GOOD AS IT GETS (3) has been in great touch and shoots for the hat-trick after successive wins at this trip. Dictating here 2 starts back to an 11m victory, that race was franked with the runner-up HAVING THE FAITH securing successive subsequent wins. Finishing over the top of them last start after easing from gate 8 to work into the running line, he can land the threepeat.

TRUE STEPER (9) is yet to miss the board in 8 outings this season, the latest when a game runner-up in the Triad Final. Setting the tempo out in front, it took the entire stretch for FOND MEMORIES to run her down. Kept fresh since that run, she can be working home late here.

NOTORIUS (8) will be needing a slice of luck from this gate, however if sighting space with track to work with, he will be in the fight. Taking them all the way last start, it was reward for finishing runner-up at his previous 2. Just needs the space.

MAN FROM BRAAVOS (6) found his race at Redcliffe last start when finishing best to claim a tidy win. Only lightly raced, it took his record to 4 wins in 10 starts and he can be thereabouts in this.

SELECTIONS: GOOD AS IT GETS (3), TRUE STEPER (9), NOTORIUS (8), MAN FROM BRAAVOS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: GOOD AS IT GETS (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

TUAPEKA LIGHT (7)
comes up with the tough gate, yet she is the class runner of the field and only needs an ounce of luck. Returning from a 12-month break 2 starts back, she was locked away as WILL THE WIZARD carved out a sizzling mile. Up to the 2138m last start, she had plenty to offer but couldn’t get a crack at them. She can bounce back.

SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (3) made the most of an improved gate here 4 starts back when pouncing on the poles from the ace and taking them all the way. Beaten a head at his next start behind JILLIBY JACKPOT from gate 5, he has been beaten by the 2nd line at his past 2. The improved gate suits.

SIR JUJON (6) was a Redcliffe winner 3 starts back when finishing hard to arrive for a tidy win. Placed behind GOVERNOR JUJON, he couldn’t go with them last start. He can chime in against this grade.

ZARAS DANCE (10) took on a mares qualifier last start when easing from gate 5 to find position. Closing out in nice style, it was a tidy effort and followed a 3rd to BOMBADIER JUJON. Look for her late.

SELECTIONS: TUAPEKA LIGHT (7), SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (3), SIR JUJON (6), ZARAS DANCE (10)
SUGGESTED BET: TUAPEKA LIGHT (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

SUNNY RICE (8) is still searching for what is proving an elusive maiden victory. With her races well-spaced, she set the tempo from gate 5 here 2 starts back, setting the tempo for the winner to grab her in the last strides and claim a 1.55.3 mile. Fading late over the 2138m last start, she can get the soft trip and be ready to strike in the stretch.

ITS SUPER EASY (9) has faced the starter on just 4 occasions and lines up here 1st up from a break. Featuring in a stable switch since the spell, he joins the Donny Smith barn and come into this without a trial to prepare. His effort 2 back over the 2138m was sound and he stays under notice.

GLENCOE REIGN (1) set the speed here 2 starts back over this trip from this gate but couldn’t see it out when fading to be mid-field. 7m in arrears from the pocket trail last start, he will be gripping on.

SIGNOR JUJON (4) should appreciate this grade after tackling the Redcliffe 3YO sales series his past 2 when down the line behind GOVERNOR JUJON. Without a win this season, he has some hope here.

SELECTIONS: SUNNY RICE (8), ITS SUPER EASY (9), GLENCOE REIGN (1), SIGNOR JUJON (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

CAPTAINS PICK (8) made his debut back on May 12 where he was sent to the post as a red figure fav. Showing that he still had plenty to learn, he was nabbed late by the subsequent Breeders Classic winner BIG WHEELS. Taking them all the way in the Breeders Consolation when ripping home a smart 27.6 closer, he looks to have his share of ability.

TALENT TO SPARE (7) was looking to remain undefeated at her 3rd career start when tackling the Fillies Breeders Classic last start. Finding the front from gate 3, she looked to bust them open and went for home on the turn, only to be grabbed by VANISH HANOVER. The gate stings, but she can challenge.

FRONTLINER (6) pressed ahead in a small field at Redcliffe last start to park outside the leader. Packing too many guns, he cruised home to a 12m victory in fine style. He can go close again.

MUMMYS GIRL (1) is a Sportswriter filly on debut and faces a task against some experienced 2YOs. The gate is a big plus to her chances and with a nice trial to earn her race ticket, can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAINS PICK (8), TALENT TO SPARE (7), FRONTLINER (6), MUMMYS GIRL (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAINS PICK (8) to win
