RACE TWO

PEGGY STARDUST (3) has been in consistent form with a top-3 at her past 6 in succession. Eased from gate 6 last start over this trip. She was working home in the closing stages to grab the bronze. Settling close to the action, she can look to land career win number 3.

DANCING IN MANOLOS (1) was a winner here 4 starts back when making the most of this gate in leading them all the way and holding on for a narrow victory. Runner-up in 2 outings since that win, she just struggled to see out the 2040m last start. From the gate, she will be challenging for the cash.

PERFECT FEELING (7) will appreciate returning to the triangle after finding them out of reach in the Triad Final when down the line behind LITTLE BOLT. A winner of his previous 2 starts here, he will be probing.

HURRIKANE SPECIAL (4) was looking for a hat-trick of wins last start when easing from gate 5 to find position. Closing strongly in the latter stages to grab the silver, she can be thereabouts once again.

SELECTIONS: PEGGY STARDUST (3), DANCING IN MANOLOS (1), PERFECT FEELING (7), HURRIKANE SPECIAL (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-4-7

RACE THREE

TOTAL DELIRIUM (1)
ended a long run of outs last start when finding the front from the three-hole and then fighting them off in easing away to an 18m victory. Gunned down the start prior when keen in the lead, if he can settle in the lamp lighting role here, can look for a repeat victory.

NIKALONG HENRY (7) showed the benefit of his 1st run back from a break when out-grinding them to the wire over the 1780m here 2 starts back when 2nd up. Looking under heavy pressure last start, he continued to rally and was brave in holding on for 3rd. A cheap run is on offer and he looms large.

TORQUE TO THE MAX (2) found the front early prior to releasing for the trail last start when having her 1st run back in Qld. Chasing home for 3rd, she will settle close to the action and is in the mix here.

THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS (8) settled mid-field last start and with the race set-up for those at the front, was sound to the line. A cheap run looks on offer and she can take the short-cuts to feature.

SELECTIONS: TOTAL DELIRIUM (1), NIKALONG HENRY (7), TORQUE TO THE MAX (2), THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS (8)

RACE FOUR

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (2)
looks to have found a suitable target, finding his way into this race nicely. Beaten by a tough gate and some smart horses in the Triad Final last start, it had followed a sound effort from a wide gate over this trip 2 starts back. Beaten a half-head here 3 back, this is at his mercy.

TILDALYN (1) opened her account last start when hitting the line strongly from back in the pack to arrive for a half-neck victory. A beaten red figure fav the start prior which had followed a 2nd when closing strongly, she will secure the easy trip here and be ready to take the closing shot.

DUKE (8) is still looking for his Qld breakthrough after finishing as with the 2nd prize last start. Leading them up over the 1780m, he was grabbed late. With the right trail through, he can feature.

MODERN THOUGHT (7) wasn’t too far away last start when finding the line in good order behind MAGHERA MAGGIE. An economical trip will be available and she can look to chime in late.

SELECTIONS: BEEF CITY STARZZZ (2), TILDALYN (1), DUKE (8), MODERN THOUGHT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: BEEF CITY STARZZZ (2) to win

RACE FIVE

SWEET LOMBO (7)
will need a rub of the green from this gate, but he looks a smart conveyance and can look to overcome the hurdle. A stylish all the way winner on debut when zipping home in a slick last panel, he was game in the breeze last start in the Breeders Consolation behind CAPTAINS PICK.

SHES MISS DEVINE (5) started at big odds in the Fillies Breeders Final last start when returning a smart effort to be 6m from the winner VANISH HANOVER. An all the way winner the start prior, she has since trialled in nice fashion and at her 1st look at the triangle can ask a few questions.

WHATTA GOOD REASON (6) has been in the money at all 3 career starts, the latest when 10m from CAPTAINS PICK in the Breeders Consolation. Arriving for a smart win 2 starts back, he can feature.

MONTANA FLASH (8) secured the 1x1 trip last start at career outing 4 and with the right run arrived to claim the prize. With the confidence of that victory, he will be right in the fight again here.

SELECTIONS: SWEET LOMBO (7), SHES MISS DEVINE (5), WHATTA GOOD REASON (6), MONTANA FLASH (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SWEET LOMBO (7) to win

RACE SIX

JEWEL OF PEAK (4) didn’t have much really go in her favour last start in the Triad Consolation when mid-field to A RAINBOW DIAMOND. Setting the tempo here 2 starts back, she looked to put them away, only to be grabbed in the stretch and forced to settle for 2nd. Back to mares only suits and she can take this.

ITSMEGS (2) will be further tightened from her latest outing after 3 runs back from a spell. Locked away from inside the 2nd line last start, she chased when mid-filed behind MONTANA LAD in a Gold Pot heat. Settling close to the action here, she can be ready to issue a closing challenge.

ART SUNSET (3) eased from gate 4 to find position in a similar mares event last start and as too far back as the tempo was controlled in front. A winner here 3 starts back, she will get the right trip to chime in.

SWAFFHAM WATER (6) was a Marburg winner 2 starts back when settling in the running line and then arriving in time to take the prize. Taken back from this gate last start and then never getting into the contest, she is an exotic chance this time.

SELECTIONS: JEWEL OF PEAK (4), ITSMEGS (2), ART SUNSET (3), SWAFFHAM WATER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: JEWEL OF PEAK (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

TOANUI SPIRIT (2) settled for the pocket trail last start over the 2138m in the Triad Consolation for the Fillies. Using the passing lane, she was mid-field behind the swooping winner A RAINBOW DIAMOND. Back to the triangle is a big plus and over the sprint trip, she can fire the early bullets and look to keep them at bay.

CANNAN (1) has been thereabouts of late, winning here 3 starts back after securing the pocket trail and making the closing play a winning one. 3rd here last start when sent to the post as fav, he will be in line for the cosy trip again here and when the gaps present will look to fire the closing shots.

LA PISTOLA (5) started from gate 6 last start and was wide when sent forward to take up residence outside the leader. Fighting hard, he run out of bullets, finishing 5n arrears of the winner. He can be in the mix here.

MISS CATALINA (7) will be set for the economical trip and when the gaps present be ready to chime in. Beaten by a wide gate when forced to restrain early last start, she looms as an exotic chance.

SELECTIONS: TOANUI SPIRIT (2), CANNAN (1), LA PISTOLA (5), MISS CATALINA (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2 / 1 / 5-6-7

RACE EIGHT

FEELS LIKA WINNER (3) arrived back in Qld when fighting hard in the breeze and holding on for the bronze behind LEFT A HURRIKANE. Following that with a 3rd in the Fillies Triad Consolation after working hard, she was a beaten red figure fav last start after working hard to find the front. This looks a suitable target.

STORM GILBERT (1) was sent forward from a wide gate here on Sunday and was in for the fight when 5m in arrears of the winner WARNER. He made an error 2 starts back that saw him banished to the trials and with the big improvement in barriers, will get his chance to capitalise.

HESLUVABLE (4) eased from gate 5 last start to settle back in the filed prior to hitting the line nicely in the closing stages when 6m in arrears of victory. With even luck in transit, he won’t be far away.

HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (2) was returning from a long break last start when finishing best to claim a 6m victory. Stripping fitter from the run, he can be right in the mix again in this.

SELECTIONS: FEELS LIKA WINNER (3), STORM GILBERT (1), HESLUVABLE (4), HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: FEELS LIKA WINNER (3) to win

RACE NINE

FRENCH GLOBE (2) didn’t have the hustle to take up the leading duties last time, but was able to ease in for the trail and held on for the bronze. Hitting the line nicely the start prior after retreating from the four-hole and settling a long way back, he can fire the early shot here and look to dictate.

TARGARYEN HANOVER (7) will need a slice of luck to see space with track to work with, yet he is racing in nice touch and can’t be ignored in this. Retreating from gate 7 over the AP 2138m last start, he found the line in nice style to grab 3rd when only 2m from the winner THE HUMMER. He will be probing for openings.

BARA JAYLA (1) doesn’t have the greatest of records here on the triangle, however she lands the right gate in the right type of contest to improve that record. Chasing hard last start, she has claims.

EULO FLYER (4) took the trail last start from the ace and couldn’t reel them in when finishing mid-field. A winner here 3 starts back, if he can settle handy, he looms as a podium prospect.

SELECTIONS: FRENCH GLOBE (2), TARGARYEN HANOVER (7), BARA JAYLA (1), EULO FLYER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: FRENCH GLOBE (2) to win

RACE TEN

PACIFIC COIN (7) took on a 2138m qualifier last start when doing some early work from gate 4 to find position. The start prior he again was forced to work in the early stages when not too far from the winner WITH THE BAND. A passing lane winner 5 starts back, he will be coiled and ready to strike.

CC JONES (8) was sent forward from gate 4 last start over the sprint trip and once in control was able to take them all the way in a comfortable victory. Racing keenly the start prior when sent forward from the 2nd line over the 2040m, he is at his best when on the speed and early position will be key.

HOT DOGMA (5) was left a little flat whether speed went on last start when coming in down the line behind GLENEAGLE WARRIOR from inside the 2nd line. He can roll forward and be sharper in this.

KAANAPALI (1) went to the pegs for the short-cuts last start after staring from the 2nd line and was closing nicely to grab the bronze. With early speed, he will be looking to fight them off.

SELECTIONS: PACIFIC COIN (7), CC JONES (8), HOT DOGMA (5), KAANAPALI (1)
SUGGESTED BET: PACIFIC COIN (7) to win
