RACE TWO

STREET APPEAL (10) has beaten himself on occasions when settling back in the field as he likes to get keen in the run. That was a contributing factor last start when down the line behind FOND MEMORIES, while 3 back he was only a head off the winner. He strikes a race here that looks to suit, and he can arrive.

PACIFIC DRUMS (3) started from the 2nd line here last week over the 2138m and when the runs started to come, he was in behind them and searching for openings that never arrived. Runner-up over the middle trip 2 starts back, a return to the mile from this gate will see him give plenty of cheek.

ISLAS JOY (1) found the front last week from gate 2 over the mile and after a sapping sub 27 opening panel, eased it off with a 32 flat 2nd split. That left him with bullets to fire in the stretch, holding on to claim victory by a neck. The gate helps here.

ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (8) found his race last start and sent straight to the front over the 2138m was never in danger in cruising home to an effortless 8m victory. He will be searching for space from this gate to make a play.

SELECTIONS: STREET APPEAL (10), PACIFIC DRUMS (3), ISLAS JOY (1), ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

He arrived in Aus the winner of 8 races from just 19 starts and SPIRIT OF ST LOUIS (6) added a 9th win in effortless fashion at Goulburn. Asked to do some work in the run from the 2nd line in that win, there has been a whirlwind of hype and to match the hype you would expect he puts these away.

OUR BALOU (1) has been thereabouts in recent outings, the latest when forced to do it the tough way outside the leader over the mile. In for the fight, he was continuing to give to the line when only a head in arrears of the winner. The rise to the 2138m suits and from the good gate gets his chance.

KEAYANG MARVEN (11) has created a big impression in his two Qld starts, the latest when hitting the line strongly when 3m in arrears of the winner. Look for him chiming in late in this.

HAVING THE FAITH (10) settled in the 1x1 trail last time out from gate 2 and was sound to the line when 6m form the swooping winner WE SALUTE YOU. With even luck, he is a podium player.

SELECTIONS: SPIRIT OF ST LOUIS (6), OUR BALOU (1), KEAYANG MARVEN (11), HAVING THE FAITH (10)
SUGGESTED BET: Trifecta 6 / 1-8-10-11

RACE FOUR

He has been flying under The Constellations radar to some extent behind some other big names, but EXPENSIVE EGO (10) perhaps is worthy more of a headline tag. Fresh since claiming the 4YO APG Final at Melton when leading throughout, he is 3 from 3 here at The Creek and while the gate is no luxury, class can defeat the map.

BLACKSADANCE (9) was a nice effort in the 2647m Flashing Red despite having no luck at all in the run and found the line in nice order. 3m from WILL THE WIZARD in the 4YO Triad 2 starts back when holding the silver after the barrier favoured his stablemate, he can be pressing through here to make a play.

WILL THE WIZARD (7) made the most of the good alley in the Triad Final to press forward and taking control fought them all off in a strong time for the trip. He got it all wrong last start and has been back to the trials where he looked sharp. The gate really stings.

MAJORDOIT (2) tackled a stand start event at Redcliffe last time out and buried in the run could not go on with it as CLINTAL DO scored a sharp win. Fitter for the run after returning from a spell, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: EXPENSIVE EGO (10), BLACKSADANCE (9), WILL THE WIZARD (7), MAJORDOIT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: EXPENSIVE EGO (10) to win

RACE FIVE

JERADAS DELIGHT (10) should appreciate the absence of some of the mares she has clashed with in recent weeks, placing behind WITH THE BAND and SCARLET BABE in her past 2 outings. Despite those two not going around, there still looks a strong tempo and she can arrive over the top.

BETTERTHANDIAMONDS (5) set the tempo last start over the mile and after a 27.9 opener was able to back it off to a 30.2 second panel. Trying to rally in the stretch, she finished 3m in arrears of the winner WITH THE BAND. From the gate she will be carving it out again and trying to fight them off.

LA BELLA VITA (9) tackled a strong mare’s event at Menangle last start when down the line behind THE STUNNING Nun who paced the mile in 1.49.7. Hitting the line strongly the start prior from gate 10, she is right in the mix here.

SHEZ GRINNIN (1) was returning from a spell when landing gate 6 over the mile here last start. Eased to the rear to secure position, she did not have the smoothest passage. From the gate she can enjoy a cosy run.

SELECTIONS: JERADAS DELIGHT (10), BETTERTHANDIAMONDS (5), LA BELLA VITA (9), SHEZ GRINNIN (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

The Constellations are on the horizon and the carnival has received a huge boost with KING OF SWING (1) arriving early. Not since the 2011 QPC have we seen two Miracle Mile winning horses do battle in a race at The Creek and the reigning mile champ is the big winner from the gate. Fitter following a strong return victory over the 2300m trip, it looks a battle for the minors.

SPANKEM (6) rebounded from the disappointment of his first Qld appearance that did not go further than 10m when scoring a clinical victory from gate 7 here last week. He was sectionally superb over the 2138m in putting them away while sitting parked and taking further benefit looks the main danger.

SAM IS PERFECTION (2) faces a sharp rise here but importantly from this gate will get first shot at darting in behind the champ for the easy run. A winner at his past 3 in succession, the pole run is a big help.

TURN IT UP (7) started from the 20m tape in the Flashing Red but never really made an impact. Forced to do plenty of work when resuming from a spell 2 starts back over the 2138m, he has no favours from the wide gate.

SELECTIONS: KING OF SWING (1), SPANKEM (6), SAM IS PERFECTION (2), TURN IT UP (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Trifecta 1 / 6 / 2-3-7

RACE SEVEN

JENDEN STRIKE (2)
has not really had much go in her favour since arriving this campaign but lands the gate to turn that all around here. Forced to cut the breeze last start, she was game in holding on for the silver behind SCARLET BABE. Only a half-neck away 3 back, this looks well within her grasp.

YOHA (5) transfers to the Stephen Cini barn and arrives with a last start 2nd when setting the speed as THE STUNNING NUN arrived over the Menangle mile. A winner 2 starts back after a 26 flat opening split to get forward, she will throw down the challenge from this alley.

ETERNAL PROMISE (6) eased from this gate last tine out when trying to make a closing rally and finishing in 4th behind the flying SCARLET BABE. Strong to the line at Redcliffe 2 starts back, the wide gate is not ideal, but she can be chiming in.

DIBABA (8) has been a revelation in NSW since arriving from WA, ending a 19-month winless streak by winning 11 of her next 12 starts. A big 21m winner last start from the front at Newcastle, she will be searching for a way clear of the poles here.

SELECTIONS:
JENDEN STRIKE (2), YOHA (5), ETERNAL PROMISE (6), DIBABA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: JENDEN STRIKE (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

WATTS UP SUNSHINE (6)
made an immediate impact from a 10-week let up when pressing on to score a gritty win over the mile in a mid-week event here 2 starts back. On the four-day back-up, he then only went within a neck of victory after carving a sub 27 opener to find the front. He will take great benefit and can bounce back here.

THE GROGFATHER (2) pressed forward to take control from gate 3 last time out and was able to keep them chasing in holding on for a 1m victory in a career PB mile of 1.53.9. Not seen since that run back on May 22, he has the gate to make them earn it.

KASHED UP (7) could not have been anymore impressive when resuming from a spell at his 1st appearance in Qld as he forges a Derby path. Caught wide, pressing forward and then putting them away, he was dominant. The gate makes it tough, but he can feature.

BIG WHEELS (8) might need to hit the brakes early and ease wide to avoid gridlock here. Runner-up to MANILA PLAYBOY in the Triad 2 starts back, he had to work hard last start when only 6m away. The gate really hurts here.

SELECTIONS: WATTS UP SUNSHINE (6), THE GROGFATHER (2), KASHED UP (7), BIG WHEELS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: WATTS UP SUNSHINE (6) to win

RACE NINE

With the exclusion of BETTOR ENFORCE, does the group winning mare NO WIN NO FEED (6) hold the top-seed position for the upcoming mares’ features? Off the scene since May 1st while some other mares have been putting their names forward for the top spot, her last start effort was a tough trip in the breeze as MAYWYNS BEST carved out the mile in 51.4. With a smart trial behind COLT THIRTY ONE, she can step forward.

APHORISM (3) has not had much luck landing a marble in recent starts and that was compounded last start when his momentum was effected when locking wheels. Asked to roll the sleeves the start prior in a strong 2138m trip, the improved gate is a big plus to his chances to challenge.

MISTERFREEZE (4) was angled to the pegs from the 2nd line last start and closed out in smart order when 8m in arrears of L L COOL J. Gunned down in front 3 starts back, he can chime in here.

KEAYANG KREUZER (9) was sent out as the favourite here last week when stepping out in Qld for the first time but could not go on with it over the closing stages. With a week to settle-in, he can be sharper in this.

SELECTIONS: NO WIN NO FEED (6), APHORISM (3), MISTERFREEZE (4), KEAYANG KREUZER (9)
SUGGESTED BET: NO WIN NO FEED (6) to win

RACE TEN

EH EF EL (3)
found the pocket trail before making the closing shot a winning one here 3 starts back. Banished to the trials after an error at his next appearance, he returned with a late charging 2nd when only an eyelash away from victory. If he can put it together, he gets his chance for supremacy.

JUMPING JACK JIMMY (5) has been in super touch since arriving in the Sunshine State. Game in defeat behind subsequent winner SAM IS PERFECTION last start, it followed a qualifying win when too powerful in front over the mile. He can press forward from the gate to put the heat in the battle.

SUBTLE DELIGHT (7) returned from a spell here last time out when finding the 1x1 trail from gate 10 over the mile. Only 4m in arrears of the flying SAM IS PERFECTION, he can be thereabouts again here.

BOHANNAN (6) was a winner from the pocket trail here 4 starts back and since that run has not really had much in his favour. Sent to the breeze last start, he looks right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: EH EF EL (3), JUMPING JACK JIMMY (5), SUBTLE DELIGHT (7), BOHANNAN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: EH EF EL (3) to win

RACE ELEVEN

RED CASTLETON (8)
will take good benefit from his latest offering when resuming from a spell. Settling in the running line from the 30m, he was strong to the line over the closing stages when 6m from the winner SIR FAHRENHEIT. The smaller field aids his cause, and he can charge late to arrive.

ORLANDO JOLT (2) added another win to his tally here on Tuesday when settling safely in position from the 10m tape before steaming over the top to an effortless victory. He can tuck in behind the action here and from the front tape gets his chance to throw down the challenge.

FLINGANDWINGIT (5) was looking to keep a perfect record here in Qld last start when throwing his chances away with an error. Kept fresh since that outing, he can look to bounce back in this.

GODOFTHUNDER (1) has placed in 3 of his past 5 in similar events to this including a 1.5m 2nd to MAJESTIC SIMON 3 runs back. Grabbed in the closing stages when leading last start, he is in this.

SELECTIONS: RED CASTLETON (8), ORLANDO JOLT (2), FLINGANDWINGIT (5), GODOFTHUNDER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: RED CASTLETON (8) to win
