RACE TWO

MAJOR LESTER (4) had placed in 3 successive starts suggesting a win was not far away and franked that assessment when saluting here last start. Sent straight to the front from gate 3, he did it easy in front in taking a 2m victory. Only beaten a head the start prior, he can look to take them all the way.

ONE LAST ROLL (9) has been uber-consistent and was rewarded for the consistency when claiming an all the way triumph last start over the Redcliffe 2280m. Pouncing on the poles from gate 1, he fought them off in holding on to score, the win following 7 successive placings and he is right in the fight once more.

THE CASUAL GOOSE (1) was shooting for a hat-trick of victories last start when forced to do it the tough way outside the leader. Fading late, he can get the easy trip here to chime in.

ONYA DOUG (8) will take some benefit from his latest offering when returning from a spell. Buried away against the pegs in that contest, he will likely be in a similar position looking for space here.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR LESTER (4), ONE LAST ROLL (9), THE CASUAL GOOSE (1), ONYA DOUG (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR LESTER (4) to win

RACE THREE

CAPTAIN NEMO (10)
is a member of the visiting Ray Green team and arrives as a last start Auckland winner when claiming a 2200m event. A five-time winner, he receives no favours from this alley over the sprint trip, but with some bigger 3YO events on his radar, he can open his Qld account in this.

NICKS PICK (4) was attacking the line with gusto in the Redcliffe Sales 3YO Final last time out, grabbing the bronze. It was a top effort after having an early look before restraining to settle at the rear after no spot was available. With better luck in the run, he will be right in the fight here.

SHEZ GRINNIN (5) has had 2 runs back from a spell, the latest when locked away in a strong mare’s race. Not much went her way the start prior from a wide gate when 1st up and with a little better luck here can feature.

VOODOO LOU (6) tackled a mare’s qualifier last start when settling in the 1x1 trail and closing out in nice order when 6m in arrears of the winner ETERNAL PROMISE. The gate is not ideal, but she is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN NEMO (10), NICKS PICK (4), SHEZ GRINNIN (5), VOODOO LOU (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN NEMO (10) to win

RACE FOUR

The Mark Rees stable is in top form and ALE ALE KAI (4) finds a race to be a big player in the finish. A winner 3 starts back over the 2138m when charging home in the closing stages to arrive, she was strong to the line at her next appearance behind ANOTHER STATEMENT. The smaller field suits and start 100 can be memorable.

EH EF EL (6) was runner-up here 2 starts back from gate 7 when unable to secure position and forced to retreat. Charging home in the closing stages from deep in the pack, he nearly got there, finishing just a pimple shy of the prize. Doing it the tough way last start in the breeze, he will throw it down here.

SOHO TSUNAMI (5) has faced the 2nd line at his past 2 starts since resuming from a spell with a passing lane win from gate 1. Back to the front line in the smaller field suits for podium claims.

COLONEL JOY (1) held the pocket trail from this same gate over this trip last start in a veteran’s event when he was best of the chasers behind the winner JUMPING JACK JIMMY. The gate gives him the chance to repeat.

SELECTIONS: ALE ALE KAI (4), EH EF EL (6), SOHO TSUNAMI (5), COLONEL JOY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ALE ALE KAI (4) to win

RACE FIVE

Making a mess of things at the start that saw his chances look gone before the start, MISTER COLE (6) chased gamely over the Redcliffe 2040m last start. Catching the field and then searching for some luck, he could have been much closer if the gaps had of materialised. Huge in defeat he finds the right contest here.

MISSTREPO (8) started from inside the 2nd line at Redcliffe last start and soon after release was locked away 3 back against the poles. Making a closing challenge to get within a head of the winner, it had followed a tidy effort here from gate 5. With the cosy trip on the cards, she can be ready to strike.

ARTISTIC SAINT (1) has good early hustle and will be hoping to get an easy time of it in front here. Buried in the run last start as MAJOR LESTER dictated, he closed soundly and is a podium player.

FLO RYDA (5) angled to the pegs last time from the 2nd line when chasing them all the way as THE ROCKNROLL KING arrived. After 3 runs back from a spell, this assignment looks a more suitable target.

SELECTIONS: MISTER COLE (6), MISSTREPO (8), ARTISTIC SAINT (1), FLO RYDA (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

TEE JAY CEE (5)
is yet to cash-in this season with his past 2 starts coming through the Redcliffe 3YO Sales Series. Luckless at The Triangle 3 ruins back when a beaten favourite from gate 1, the start prior he was within an eyelash of breaking through for the win. With even luck he can arrive in this lie up.

MISS FERNANDEZ (1) will be 3rd up from a spell for visiting trainer Denis Picker and lands the plum gate. Buried in the run at both runs since resuming, she scored via the passing lane at Bathurst at her last run prior to being set for a break. With the easy run-in transit, she can challenge in the stretch.

MAJOR LUCKY (3) eased to the pegs here on Tuesday when within 8m of the swooping winner COULDNTMISAFALCON. Not suited from inside the 2nd line the start prior, he can join in here.

SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (6) was a winner here 3 runs back when sent forward early and asked to do it the tough way. Buried as GENEARL MONTANA dictated last start, back to this grade he has claims.

SELECTIONS: TEE JAY CEE (5), MISS FERNANDEZ (1), MAJOR LUCKY (3), SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: TEE JAY CEE (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

ATOMIC BOMBSHELL (6)
has been a work in progress in recent times as she looks to overcome some gaiting issues. Eased to the rear from gate 6 at Redcliffe 2 starts back, she never had a clean shot at them and was not too far away. Buried in the run last start, they might just light the fuse here in a race where she looks a strong chance.

HIGH ON MONTANA (5) looked to have found the ideal conditions at Redcliffe 2 starts back and from gate 4 was soon in front soon after the start. Unable to see it out when holding on for the bronze, forget his last start where he was put out of commission. He looms large in this contest.

MONTANA PRIDE (4) was taken to the grass at Kilcoy last start when sent to the post as favourite from the 2nd line. Settling for 3rd to CLARENDEN DAZZLER, he has podium claims once again here.

DUKE (1) has had two appearances at this track for nil return but lands the draw and opponents to be around the money here. Placed in 2 of 3 since resuming from a spell, the gate helps his chances.

SELECTIONS: ATOMIC BOMBSHELL (6), HIGH ON MONTANA (5), MONTANA PRIDE (4), DUKE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ATOMIC BOMBSHELL (6) to win

RACE NINE

An even looking trot to dissect where the start will be all important for some off the bigger handicaps. From the 20m tape MAJESTIC SPEED (3) can be close enough to the action in the early stages for this battle. Only 4m in arrears of CHASING GREAT here on Tuesday, she was the runner-up to IMA CALVERT ROSE 3 runs back. She looks to get a chance here.

ALDEBARA SELENA (1) made a costly starting error last time out against her own age before making another mistake in the run to end her chances as the race favourite. That followed a similar fate when going off-stride the start prior. With the 20m advantage, if she trots cleanly, she can challenge.

IMA CALVERT ROSE (7) broke a 46 start hoodoo last time out to land her first career win from the tapes. Pressing on to take control from the 30m, she goes back to 40m here but can look to repeat.

JUST CALL ME MOLLY (6) was off-stride last start but fortunately, it was not of her own doing. Game in finishing midfield to PRINCESS FAITH 2 starts back, if she can maintain gait throughout, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC SPEED (3), ALDEBARA SELENA (1), IMA CALVERT ROSE (7), JUST CALL ME MOLLY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC SPEED (3) to win

RACE TEN

COME ON SLOOPY (5)
landed gate 7 at her first outing following linking with the Stephen Cini barn. Working into the 1x1 trail she could not go late as the MULLUM FLO powered home to score. That winner has backed that up with a subsequent win and with the right trip, she can arrive in this.

BULLDOG BRAWLER (1) started from inside the 2nd line at his 1st appearance in Qld when buried away soon after the start. With KASHED UP powering home to a big victory, he was trying to get clear. Again, clashing with a sharp one in UNCLE SHANK last time, he should appreciate this line up.

WHATABOYJACK (3) was well supported in the market to be sent to the post the punters elect at Redcliffe last start when his chances ended with an error. Back to the big oval can help his chances.

MIDNIGHT BLAST (4) resumes from a spell for the visiting Scott Hewitt barn after a pair of Canberra starts in February to start her career. With a Redcliffe trial to open the pipes, she has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: COME ON SLOOPY (5), BULLDOG BRAWLER (1), WHATABOYJACK (3), MIDNIGHT BLAST (4)
SUGGESTED BET: COME ON SLOOPY (5) to win
