RACE TWO

REDDY FIRE (1) did some work in the run last start from gate 5 to secure position and battled away to hold on for a midfield finish. Not suited from the 2nd line here 2 starts back, he comes up with the good gate and while he will need to hustle hard to protect the poles, from the front he can see it out.

TUAKANA (2) can take an early shot here but likely does not have the early speed to get across. That will leave him exposed in the death chair, a position he was too strong from here at his only appearance in this track, 5 starts back. Placed in 2 of his 4 since that win, he will be up for the battle.

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (6) held the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line at Redcliffe 2 starts back and was searching for the gaps when holding 3rd as GWENDALION charged home. He will be probing here.

PEGGY STARDUST (7) was beaten by the 2nd line gate as CLARENDEN DAZZLER controlled things in front at Kilcoy last start. Not suited when working in the breeze the start prior, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: REDDY FIRE (1), TUAKANA (2), BEEF CITY STARZZZ (6), PEGGY STARDUST (7)
SUGGESTED BET: REDDY FIRE (1) to win

RACE THREE

BONNIES CAM (6)
makes his debut from the stand start and brings some handy numbers on this surface that show 3 minors and win from seven attempts. A real eye-catcher 3 starts back when charging home from the rear for the silver, he franked that with a 2138m win. He can throw it down.

DARBY BRIGHTS (4) is on the overnight back-up after taking her place in the Showcase Final at Redcliffe on Saturday night. She may not have the greatest chance in that contest, but she will find this much more suitable on a track where she has placed in 3 of 5. If she handles the back-up, she can challenge.

MONTANA PRIDE (2) started favourite at Kilcoy on the grass 2 starts back when battling into 3rd as CLARENDEN DAZZLER dictated in front. Backing up from Friday at The Creek, he is in the mix.

DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (7) has had one attempt from the tapes and two attempts here at the Burg and missed in all three. A passing lane winner 3 starts back, if she can get the right trip, she looms large here.

SELECTIONS: BONNIES CAM (6), DARBY BRIGHTS (4), MONTANA PRIDE (2), DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: BONNIES CAM (6) to win

RACE FOUR

ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (7)
eased to the poles from a 2nd line gate last start over the Redcliffe sprint trip and then never really got a full shot at them when GINATIANO took the prize. He needs some factors to go his way to show his best at this stage of his career and that might just work in his favout in this.

ONYAJANS (2) was 2nd up from a spell last time out when taken to the grass at Kilcoy. Settling in behind the speed, she was able to make the closing shot a winning one when arriving for victory by  a half-neck. Gunned down in front at her return, she can be ready to challenge in this.

OKANES DEVIL (1) held the pocket trail last start from gate 1 over the Redcliffe 2040m and was trying to launch a closing rally when 4m in arrears. She lands the gate to make a play here.

MAJOR SLIP UP (8) has proved to be an enigma in recent times where he just cannot seem to work the starts and facing a disadvantage from the get go. Grabbing 3rd on the grass last start, his Marburg record is exemplary and he cannot be discounted.

SELECTIONS: ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (7), ONYAJANS (2), OKANES DEVIL (1), MAJOR SLIP UP (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-7-8

RACE FIVE

This race is wide open and a case of the entire field searching for form and a possible chance. Off the back of BARKWAY ARNOLD having success for Taleah McMullen, CINDAROCKINRELLA (3) arrives in her barn looking to turn her form around. Well beaten last start at Goulburn, if she can turn this mare around like she did with Arnold, a first up strike is not out of the question.

TICK OF THE CLOCK (6) will need a few factors to fall in his favour but if the gaps should arrive in time, look for him to make a challenging play. Asked to do it the tough way last time out when not too far away, he will be probing here.

TULHURST LOVER (4) makes her maiden appearance in Qld and arrives with the Ben Battle barn a five-time winner. Buried in the run last start at Parkes, limiting the burn can see her feature.

CHANG (2) is approaching 12-months since he last took a stroll down victory lane, however did land a gritty 2nd placing 2 starts back. Settling handy to the action, he can feature here.

SELECTIONS: CINDAROCKINRELLA (3), TICK OF THE CLOCK (6), TULHURST LOVER (4), CHANG (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

He loves the tapes and while he did not get through to the Showcase Final GHOST GUM (5) can gain some redemption with a forward showing here. In front soon after the start from the 10m tape last time out at Redcliffe, the early speed took its toll. With a steadier tempo here, he gets a chance.

BIG GEM MONTANA (10) is on the overnight back-up after tackling the Showcase Final at Redcliffe on Saturday night, a race that he looks to ne right in contention. A winner of a heat of that series when stepping cleanly and then working hard from the 10m tape, he will throw it down here.

HANDSOME HARRY (6) is an import stepping out in Qld for the first time for Doug Manger. A last start winner at Ashburton on the South Island of NZ, he has extensive experience from the tapes and stays under watch.

NESTERS HILL (9) makes his race debut from the standing start format and brings a slick all the way win over the AP mile 2 starts back. If he gets away safely, he will be right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: GHOST GUM (5), BIG GEM MONTANA (10), HANDSOME HARRY (6), NESTERS HILL (9)
SUGGESTED BET: GHOST GUM (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

CLARES FOOL (1)
has drawn this alley in 3 of his past 4 appearances on this track. In each of those he has led them up and been grabbed in the last strides, the latest when SHESFEELINPRECIOUS was his conqueror, prior to that is was TUAKANA. He will look the winner at some stage, can he fight them off?

FORGIVE ME (7) has two wins against her name with one of those occurring here at Marburg. That was 3 starts back when sent to the front from gate 5 to take them all the way. Finding things out of reach at her past 2 starts, the latest when asked to sit parked, she should find this more suitable.

MELTON MAX GENTLE (2) was asked to do it the tough way last start when sent to the breeze from gate 3 over the AP mile and was game in holding on for 3rd. He might just need to grind it out again here.

DARGOS PET (3) started from inside the 2nd line last time out and was soon angled to the running line to avoid a pocket. Closing out in nice order when 5m in arrears, he can join in here.

SELECTIONS: CLARES FOOL (1), FORGIVE ME (7), MELTON MAX GENTLE (2), DARGOS PET (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

Returning from a spell when 1st up in Qld  CLARENDEN DAZZLER (1) stepped out here over the 1850m. Taking an early shot for supremacy, he was forced to hang tough in the breeze. Finding the front when 2nd up on the grass at Kilcoy, he scored a big win. From the gate he can repeat.

KETTERING GIRL (6) was angled to the pegs last start to look for some luck and was just a little too far back once the filed sorted themselves into order. With the easy trip here, she can be following the action and searching for the gaps to make a closing play.

NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (3) has placed in 4 of her 7 starts here but never landed the win. Asked to race tough last start from gate 6 at Redcliffe, she might have to roll the sleeves again here.

BUKTHSYSTEM (6) has no favours from this alley, but if positioning cheaply will have a podium chance. A Redcliffe winner 2 starts back, he can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: CLARENDEN DAZZLER (1), KETTERING GIRL (6), NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (3), BUKTHSYSTEM (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CLARENDEN DAZZLER (1) to win

RACE NINE

With a super record here at Marburg, GOSLING IN FLIGHT (2) lands the good gate to add to his figures that show 4 wins and 3 2nds from his 10 appearances here. Too far back and never getting warm last start on the grass at Kilcoy, it followed a close up 4th. He looks to get every chance here.

OCEAN LANE (1) has good hustle out of the machine when called on. Last start from the 2nd line he was midfield when trying to make some closing metres. Only 3m from the subsequent winner DONNY JONES 2 starts back, she has the gate to be in the perfect position to strike here.

AQUA CRUISER (6) will be requiring a slice of luck at some stage from this alley to find some open road. Grabbing the bronze in the closing stages last time, he will be probing.

MEGA STAR (8) resumes from a spell and joins the Chloe Butler yard. Wilting after a tough trip last start, his record is smart and he has the skills to feature fresh in this

SELECTIONS: GOSLING IN FLIGHT (2), OCEAN LANE (1), AQUA CRUISER (6), MEGA STAR (8)
SUGGESTED BET: GOSLING IN FLIGHT (2), OCEAN LANE (1), AQUA CRUISER (6), MEGA STAR (8)
