RACE TWO

The early action here will go a long way to deciding who prevails with the Dixon pair holding the keys to the contest. HENRY HU (3) was building towards a victory with some handy efforts at headquarters before franking that at his 1st appearance here on The Triangle 2 starts back with a stylish win. That was from the breeze and he is up to this.

GOOD AS IT GETS (2) has a tidy record on this surface and was closing out nicely over the Trot Rods scamper last start when 2nd behind AQUA SANCTA. Too far back the start prior from the 2nd line in the 4YO APG event claimed by ADAM CROCKER, he has the gate to make a big play for the prize.

PAY ME OVERS (4) makes her 1st appearance here at Redcliffe and brings a smart close-out last start when tackling a mare’s qualifier. Charging home to be 3m from LILYMADIMAC, look for her chiming in.

BEEF CITY BLAZE (1) lands the ideal gate to suit his pattern and with the economical run-in transit can be ready to take the snipers shot. A gritty 3rd last start at Marburg, he will be stalking.

SELECTIONS: HENRY HU (3), GOOD AS IT GETS (2), PAY ME OVERS (4), BEEF CITY BLAZE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: HENRY HU (3) to win

RACE THREE

FIRE AND ICE (1)
was asked to do some early work last start before cover arrived over the AP 2138m and was down the lien as VIENNA BOY claimed the prize. Finishing strongly here 3 starts back over the sprint trip when 1.5m in arrears of the winner, he was game from the breeze at his next start. The gate is a huge plus.

JOVIAL JULIE (3) has been in consistent touch and lines up here with a pair of wins sandwiching a 1m 2nd when starting from the 2nd line over this trip. Showing early hustle before taking running line cover last start, she finished over the top to claim a smart win. Settling handy, she can challenge.

GOTTAHAVEAHOBBIE (7) was a Marburg winner 2 starts back when stepping out in Qld for the 2nd time, finishing smartly to score. A beaten fav last start when wilting, he can be sharper in this.

LA SAFRON (4) has been runner-up at his past 2 when using the passing lane, both in 947m events. Only a half-head away 2 back, finding position will be key to his chances here and with even luck can feature.

SELECTIONS: FIRE AND ICE (1), JOVIAL JULIE (3), GOTTAHAVEAHOBBIE (7), LA SAFRON (4)
SUGGESTED BET: FIRE AND ICE (1) to win

RACE FOUR

The first of six heats over three nights in the Young Drivers Series where KENDYS BUTTERFLY (4) can look to continue her good form. A gritty winner here 2 starts back when sent to the breeze from the 2nd line, she was then beaten by gate 5 when not too far from VNISH HANOVER. A smart Trot Rods heat winner last start, she can arrive once again.

MAJOR LESTER (2) tackled a much stronger event over the AP 2138m last start when holding the pocket trail from gate 1. Making a closing dive, he was within a head of the winner RAANI in a smart 1st outing in Qld. From the gate he will be handy to the action and can throw it down to them.

SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (9) has hit the board in 9 of his 11 starts on this surface, the latest when taking them all the way from gate 1 in scoring a comfortable victory. The gates stings but he can be working home late.

BLACKJACK JIM (8) was angled to the pegs from this gate here 2 starts back and with the luck falling his way, charged hard to score. Both his wins have been here at Redcliffe and he can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: KENDYS BUTTERFLY (4), MAJOR LESTER (2), SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (9), BLACKJACK JIM (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (3) found the pocket trail from gate 5 here 2 starts back and then had the bullets to hit the target up the passing lane. Not ideally suited to the Trot Rods format last start, he can settle close to the action from this gate and looks to get his chance to make it 3 wins from his past 6 starts.

MANOFLISA (9) started from inside the 2nd line last time out and was soon locked away in the run and looking for luck. From gate 6 here 2 starts back, he was wide off the track and strong to the line to grab the silver behind DON HESTON and with the right cart into this can make a challenge.

OUR ULTIMATE BONNY (5) will be further tightened from her latest outing when 2nd up from a break. Resuming in the Triad consolation when 7th, she was only 2m away 2nd up and can feature here.

ABBEY DIADEMA (1) was a winner here 4 starts back when settling in the 1x1 trail before finishing best to claim the prize. Only a head away at her next appearance, she was beaten in red figures last start from gate 6. The improved alley is a big plus here.

SELECTIONS: DOWNTOWN LUCCA (3), MANOFLISA (9), OUR ULTIMATE BONNY (5), ABBEY DIADEMA (1)
SUGGESTED BET: DOWNTOWN LUCCA (3) to win

RACE SIX

The 2nd of the Young Drivers heats can see the in-form SIR BULSKI (2) position close to the action for another victory. Claiming the prize in 3 of his past 4 starts, 2 of those victories have been in the Trot Rods format, the latest when charging home to score. With early hustle, he can be in the right place to strike.

PAGO PAGO (4) capitalised on gate 1 last time out over the 947m to take them all the way, scoring by a margin of 5m. He should take some benefit from that appearance where he was returning from a freshen and sliding across in the early stages can be in the right spot to make a challenge.

BONDI PRINCE (10) was sent forward from gate 5 over the 2040m trip last time out and sitting parked hard too much in reserve when scoring a comfortable 9m victory. The gate hurts but he is up to the task.

ROWDYS ACE (1) tried to take them all the way from gate 2 here 2 starts back with a 28.7 opening panel proving too costly. 9m in arrears in a tougher race last start, he will get his chance from this alley.

SELECTIONS: SIR BULSKI (2), PAGO PAGO (4), BONDI PRINCE (10), ROWDYS ACE (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

ELLE JAY (5)
was a Marburg winner 4 runs back after easing early from the widest gate before making a wide and searching run to score. Placed in 2 of her next 3, the latest over the 947m when 7m from SIR BULSKI, she can overcome the sticky alley to add another victory to her tally.

TICK OF THE CLOCK (2) did not have much go his way in a Trot Rods sprint last start which followed a tidy 3rd over the Marburg 1850m. Angled away from the pegs in that contest after drawing inside the 2nd line, he closed out to grab the bronze behind DEAL BREAKER. From the gate he can challenge.

MELTON MAX GENTLE (9) settled in the running line from gate 8 last time out when finishing midfield behind THEMIDNIGHTRAMBLER. Closing smartly from rearward positions his previous 2, he has podium claims once again.

WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (7) has hit the board in 2 of her past 3 starts, the latest when chasing hard for the silver behind MIDNGHT QUEEN. With an economical trip against the markers, she will be probing.

SELECTIONS: ELLE JAY (5), TICK OF THE CLOCK (2), MELTON MAX GENTLE (9), WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ELLE JAY (5) to win

RACE NINE

KALANI (1) was on debut when landing inside the 2nd line and soon after was pegged away back against the poles as subsequent winner PRINCESS CHILLA took the prize. Chasing late to grab the silver behind MISSTREPO last start, he comes up with the front line for the 1st time and looks to get every chance.

SIR HASZEM (7) made a costly error last start from the pocket trail and was down the line. Looking to lead throughout here 3 starts back, he was in front when grabbed late and followed that with a midfield finish. With an easy trip he can be ready to make a closing play here.

STEEVEN (2) settled down to fight out the finish here 2 starts back but could not quite get past the winner FAVREAU when 1.5m away. He could not go with them late last start at AP and back to Redcliffe can join in.

BEE A BLESSING (8) started deep into the red last start to break her maiden from gate 1. Finding the front, she was unable to see it out to finish 6m in arrears. From the gate, she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: KALANI (1), SIR HASZEM (7), STEEVEN (2), BEE A BLESSING (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

IMA CHICK MAGNET (4)
started his career when eased from gate 5 before hitting the line in smart order to grab the silver behind MISTY CREEK. He found them out of reach 2nd up in the Breeders Classic and the last start was game after a tough trip from gate 7. He looks to get his chance in this race.

MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE (6) will take some experience from his debut when tackling the Breeders Classic consolation and after doing some early work could not go on with it as BANGKOK DEEJAY powered away. Despite the wide gate, he looks better suited here and shapes as an improver.

TROUPER JUJON (3) was down the line behind a smart on in MY ULTIMATE BAXTER on debut and then chased hard behind the smart BANGKOK DEEJAY when 3rd at his 2nd outing. He has claims here.

SELECTIONS: IMA CHICK MAGNET (4), MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE (6), TROUPER JUJON (3)
SUGGESTED BET: IMA CHICK MAGNET (4) to win
