Following a race morning QRIC Stewards track  inspection, the non-Tab race meeting scheduled for Mount Isa RC on Saturday 26 June has been ABANDONED due to the state of the track.

The Buchanan Park racecourse received 48mm of rain on Thursday night, but despite favourable drying conditions, the track has not improved sufficiently to be able to race on.

The postponing of the meeting was considered but could not be facilitated due to logistical reasons.

RQ will enact the Race Meeting Abandonment Policy for stakeholders.

An additional race – Maiden Plate (2yo & up sw) 1100m of $7,450 – has been added to the next Mount Isa RC meeting on Saturday 10 July.
