RACE ONE

Resuming from a spell with a slick 53.6 mile from the front, SLIP THE HUNDY (9) went 2 for 2 this campaign when scoring in his Heat of this Series from gate 7. Pressing on to find the front, he was then able to pull clear to claim a 12m victory. The second line might as some questions, but he should have the answers.

CLASSIE WASHINGTON (2) is 4 from 4 since arriving in Qld and has taken each step as it has presented. Big in victory at his past two when overcoming gate 7 on each occasion, he claimed his heat when powering over the top in the closing stages. He will be close enough to challenge.

GENERAL MONTANA (1) tackled the 90Final last start from the second line and the closing tempo made it tough for the chasers as MAJOR JELLIS took a 51.3 mile from the front. With good early hustle, he will be gripping on.

RYANS GANGSTER (8) did his share of early work in the Redcliffe Heat before finding the 1x1 trail, then finishing best in the stretch to claim victory. With the soft trip, he can be ready to strike.

SELECTIONS: SLIP THE HUNDY (9), CLASSIE WASHINGTON (2), GENERAL MONTANA (1), RYANS GANGSTER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-8-9

RACE TWO

Making the most of conditions at Redcliffe last start when firing out to dictate, BEAU CISHLOM (1) was able to rate the pace and hold on for a narrow victory in sharp time, including a slick last 800m split. Runner-up here three starts back, he lands all the options to go back-to-back.

DIKERRY (8) held the 1x1 trail last start and was making a closing play to grab the bronze when chasing BEAU CISHLOM last time out. A winner in these conditions two start back over this trip, he can secure the soft trip in behind the speed in readiness to issue the closing challenge.

ARTHUR LOWE (4) backs up from Tuesday where he eased from gate 3 to find the poles and finished midfield behind FRANCO HAMPTON in veteran’s grade. He can be closer to the action this time.

HANDSOME HERO (6) has been runner-up in 3 of his past 4 starts, the latest at Redcliffe where he was asked to hang tough first over. Just a half-head from BEAU CISHLOM, he can feature again.

SELECTIONS: BEAU CISHLOM (1), DIKERRY (8), ARTHUR LOWE (4), HANDSOME HERO (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BEAU CISHLOM (1) to win

RACE THREE

With three runs to his name since joining the Charlie Cini barn, there has been very little go in the favour of ASTERISM (2). A wheel issue put him out of play first up in a qualifier three runs back and then was forced to sit parked at his next run. Buried last time, he looks to get his chance in this.

LADY AVANA (5) charged home when resuming from a spell two runs back after easing to the rear in a strong mare’s contest. Tackling a mare’s qualifier second up, she was hemmed away from inside the second line and did not get a clean crack at them. Despite the sticky gate she can challenge.
SO AM I (9) was trying to make a late raid last time out when grabbing the bronze behind the handy 3YO DON LOU. Closing out in nice order after retreating the start prior, he can be making a play.

JILLIBY JACKPOT (1) took the trail from this same gate at the mile last time out, chiming into 4th placing as SHEZ NOTORIOUS took the win. With the right trip behind the speed, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: ASTERISM (2), LADY AVANA (5), SO AM I (9), JILLIBY JACKPOT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ASTERISM (2) to win

RACE FOUR

The first of the two DJA Heats, with the first round over the same journey as the Final at 2647m. A winner at this trip at her past two attempts, RILEY MOMENT (4) was safely away and worked to the front before holding on for a narrow victory last time out. With manners off the front, she can arrive.

GLOBAL FLIGHT (2) remains unbeaten in a pair of Qld outings since crossing the Tasman and should appreciate the front line after combatting handicaps of 20m and 40m. Too strong last start after moving around them and pulling clear to a big margin, he can take the next step in this.

SIR FAHRENHEIT (11) was sent to sit parked last start from gate 5 at the mobile 2138m and after the tough trip could only manage a 4m deficit. Fitter again after three runs back, he is in the mix.

WEE MAN TROUBLE (12) was chasing down a hat-trick last start when tackling the Redcliffe Trotters Cup and wide off the track from the 30m tape was strong to the line for 2nd. Look for him joining in.

SELECTIONS: RILEY MOMENT (4), GLOBAL FLIGHT (2), SIR FAHRENHEIT (11), WEE MAN TROUBLE (12)
SUGGESTED BET: RILEY MOMENT (4) to win

RACE FIVE

This will be another step up for CRADLE OF FIRE (6) but it is hard to knock what he has been able to do in recent starts. Too strong from outside the front line over the Redcliffe 1780m last time, he sat parked and pulled clear to take a 12m margin. The gate stings again but he looks up to the task.

DIGYOURHEELSIN (2) returns to Qld for another campaign for Colin Godden and arrives with a last start 2nd at Shepparton after leading them up and being collared in the latter stages. A smart winner from the front at Bendigo three runs back, she has the gate to position for the challenge.

PARKED IN HEAVEN (8) will be requiring a slice of luck at some stage as she looks in danger of being locked away. A last start winner via the passing lane over the 2138m, she will be probing.

GUNNA NEEDAMARGARITA (5) returns from a spell after her last appearance back in February where she was a beaten fav from gate 7. A passing lane winner over CLASS TO THE MAX two runs back, she can chime in fresh.

SELECTIONS: CRADLE OF FIRE (6), DIGYOURHEELSIN (2), PARKED IN HEAVEN (8), GUNNA NEEDAMARGARITA (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

The second of the DJA heats where the last start Redcliffe Cup winner MAJESTIC HARRY (6) can overcome the 10m impost for this Series to look for maximum points. Stepping straight to the front on The Triangle, he was never in danger and with a strong win at this trip from a 40m handicap four runs back, he can go back-to-back.

DOFF YOUR CAP (10) will take his first look at The Creek for NSW trainer Jarrod Alchin, arriving in search of a hat-trick after successive Menangle wins over the mobile 2300m. Pressing on to the front last start and dictating, he has the equal back mark for the Series, but looks up to the challenge.

RED CASTLETON (11) resumes from a spell after his last start came in the Trotters marathon back in April when hitting the line in nice order for 3rd behind WATTS UP MAJETSIC. He can be joining in and will improve into the Series.

JUSTABITNOISY (7) is never far from the action and never runs a bad race, having placed at his past five in succession. Buried away last start, he kept chasing to grab 3rd and will be chiming in again.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC HARRY (6), DOFF YOUR CAP (10), RED CASTLETON (11), JUSTABITNOISY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC HARRY (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

Ending a winning streak that had stretched to six with a last start defeat, SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE (4) should appreciate a return to this grade of contest. That defeat was in the Patrons Purse at Redcliffe where the effort was still solid from gate 10. He can restart the win-meter with this.

MUMMYS BOY (1) started from inside the second line at Redcliffe last time out and with the cosy trip in behind the speed, had the finishing power to grab the prize. Taking them all the way here four starts back, he lands the options to make some form of challenge.

KING TRITON (3) has returned from a spell in nice order with a win and the narrowest of 2nds in his two runs back. Cashing-in up the passing lane when resuming, he went within a lip of DELIGHTFUL DUDE last time and is right in this.

BELLA BALL TERROR (8) started from this gate last time out and despite being hemmed away, when angled into open space, he attacked the line stoutly to arrive. He will be searching for openings here.

SELECTIONS: SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE (4), MUMMYS BOY (1), KING TRITON (3), BELLA BALL TERROR (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 4 / 1-2-3-8

RACE EIGHT

Eased from gate 6 before attacking the line strongly over the closing stages behind SLIP THE HUNDY in the Heat of this, ONE BIG SHEW (8) franked the effort with a victory on Tuesday. Settled in the running line from gate 10, he found the line in some sharp closing splits to grab the prize and will be coiled ready to strike.

FRANCO NANDOR (1) was sent to sit parked last start from the second line and after working hard in the run, was 7m from the winner CLASSIE WASHINGTON. Runner-up to the flying SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE two starts back, he has the early hustle to take control of this.

IAMAJOYRIDE (2) started from inside the second line in the Redcliffe heat for this Series and was soon in heavy traffic and needing a miracle. The miracle did not eventuate, but she found the line in nice order and can make a play from the improved gate.

ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (3) eased from gate 5 last start to find position before hitting the line in smart order for a neck 2nd behind SMOOTH CASH. Positioning cheaply will be key to his chances.

SELECTIONS: ONE BIG SHEW (8), FRANCO NANDOR (1), IAMAJOYRIDE (2), ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ONE BIG SHEW (8) to win

RACE NINE

Landing a last-start victory in a qualifier, VALKYRIE (1) took the closing shot up the passing lane to deny the odds-on favourite SOHO ALMASI the victory. With an interrupted campaign, she should take benefit from the win at just her third race start in an eight-week space. The gate gives her every chance.

WOODLEA DIEGO (3) was second up in Qld last time out when securing the perfect trip in behind the speed and then taking his shot when the space opened in the stretch. Hitting the line smartly when first-up to grab the silver, he can be up near the action to throw down a challenge.

FRANCO NATHAN (8) was a passing lane winner here three starts back when finding the fence and then scooting through to claim the prize. With the cosy trip in behind the speed, he can strike.

BEACH MAGIC (4) set the speed last start over the Redcliffe sprint trip and was gripping on in the stretch when taking 3rd, 3m in arrears of the winner. He might need to work but is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: VALKYRIE (1), WOODLEA DIEGO (3), FRANCO NATHAN (8), BEACH MAGIC (4)
SUGGESTED BET: VALKYRIE (1) to win

RACE TEN

A 2YO taking on the older and more experienced campaigners, SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (3) arrives in Qld for NSW visitor Jarrod Alchin and brings a pair of wins and a 2nd placing from his three career starts. Smart wins at his first two career outings, he was fresh from a spell last start when 5m in arrears at Menangle in the Tatlow Stakes. He can arrive in style.

WHERES TASCOTT (1) started from this same gate last time out and was soon hemmed away and looking in serious danger. Finding the gaps at the right time, she had the closing power to arrive for the prize and with another economical trip, will be trying to get into open air when needed.

SCHOOBY (4) had to settle for the silver last start, ending a win streak that peaked with 7 successive victories. Only a head from the winner, he can be thereabouts again here.
REDBANK MOLLY (8) is in search of a hat-trick of wins but will need some favours from this alley. Finishing over the top of them last start at the Redcliffe 2040m trip, she will be probing.

SELECTIONS: SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (3), WHERES TASCOTT (1), SCHOOBY (4), REDBANK MOLLY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (3), to win
