RACE ONE

LOCHART SHARD (8)
found the ideal conditions last time out at Marburg when forcing the issue from the second line to get to the front and pull clear to a huge 30m margin. Off the back of that effort, he can overcome the second line to go back-to-back.

SUBSTITOOTH (9) has had one unplaced run on this deck previously and comes into this after chasing home behind RED RIGHT HAND. At his best when able to find the poles, the second line makes it a big ask, but he has the class to issue the challenge.

IDEAL TIGER (1) was asked to sit parked last time out at Marburg and fought hard to hold on for the bronze. With the benefit of this gate, he can feature in the money again.

TRALEE MAXIE (2) was a winner here two starts back when doing it the tough way from gate 4 and grinding out the win. Beaten by the second line at Marburg last time, the improved gate is plus.

SELECTIONS: LOCHART SHARD (8), SUBSTITOOTH (9), IDEAL TIGER (1), TRALEE MAXIE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: LOCHART SHARD (8) to win

RACE TWO

DOCTA FEELGOOD (9) is afforded no favours from the outside second line, but he should appreciate the return to this grade. Runner-up in a heat of the Newcastle Regional Championship heat, he couldn’t get into the race in the final. A five-time winner on this deck, he can overcome the gate.

SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (1) has gone past 12 months since his last victory but has started to work his way back towards a victory. Making late metres last start to grab 3rd behind WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON, he lands the ideal gate for his preferred pattern to male the closing shot a winning one.

CAMROLLER (2) was closing out smartly last start to get within a head of the winner. Fitter after three runs back from a break, he can get handy to be right in the fight.

THERESACHANCE (7) was a Trot Rods winner last time out when darting through on the passing lane to score. With another soft trip here, look for him probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: DOCTA FEELGOOD (9), SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (1), CAMROLLER (2), THERESACHANCE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: DOCTA FEELGOOD (9) to win

RACE THREE

MIGHTY GEORGE (3)
struck trouble last start at Marburg that ended his chances. Beaten as an odd-on elect here two starts back when 3m from the winner FIRE AND ICE from the pocket trail, he can slide across to find a position and with the right tempo gets his chance.

TULHURST TERROR (1) will be first up in Qld for visiting trainer Nathan Hurst and will be fresh since his last appearance when midfield at Bathurst behind BETTOR KEPPEL. With the options from this gate, he can issue the challenge.

SHEZ NOTORIOUS (7) was taken back from a wide gate last start at Marburg and against the tempo could not get into the contest. If she can land the leaders back, she will stalk the speed.

FRANCO NATHAN (4) has one win and one minor in three attempts here on The Triangle and comes into this after tackling stronger AP events in recent starts. Despite a tricky gate, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: MIGHTY GEORGE (3), TULHURST TERROR (1), SHEZ NOTORIOUS (7), FRANCO NATHAN (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

CHEDDAR MADE BETA (2) faced the outside second line at Marburg last time out and was strong to the line wide off the track to grab the silver when 4m in arrears of the winner. A beaten fav two starts back over the 2040 when 3m from the winner, he can get forward to capitalise.

LYNTON CREEK (1) was just a neck from the winner last start at Marburg behind FILLY THIRTEEN. Beaten by a wide gate the start prior when retreating to the rear and unable to get into it, settling closer to the action will aid his chances of issuing the challenge.

JOHNROD (5) will take benefit from his latest outing where he was returning from a spell and buried in the run. He can get forward and make a play for the prize.

MALINJANG (8) tackled a Trot Rods last start and not much went right when he trailed the field home. He has met some tougher fields and despite the gate he is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: CHEDDAR MADE BETA (2), LYNTON CREEK (1), JOHNROD (5), MALINJANG (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CHEDDAR MADE BETA (2) to win

RACE FIVE

ROLLONX (2)
has good speed out of the machine and from this gate should be able to get off the arm and into the right spot. A Trot Rods winner two runs back, he was buried in the run last start over the mile at HQ. Back to the peninsula is a huge asset.

HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (1) maps to get the soft trip in behind the speed and effective when making a closing raid, should be there to issue a challenge. Runner-up here two starts back from the 1x1 trail, he was not suited last start over the AP 2138 and can bounce back here.

FOVEAUX MAJOR (4) was second up in Qld when making nice metres in the closing stages wide off the track at Marburg to grab the bronze. Taking benefit from that, he is a podium player here.

OYSTER STRIDE (7) was a winner when working home wide off the track here four starts back to claim a 7m margin. Not really in the mix in three runs since, a soft trip here should help.

SELECTIONS: ROLLONX (2), HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (1), FOVEAUX MAJOR (4), OYSTER STRIDE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-7

RACE SIX

TRACER BULLET (5) will need to negate the wide alley, but he can do some work in his races when needed and might just find this a trifle easier than recent outings. Making some late ground when 5m from the winner COLBY ART here two back, he was buried last start. He can hit the target here.

BAHAMAS MISS (1) has been runner-up in two of her past three starts, the latest when best of the chasers as LOCHART SHARD blitzed them at Marburg. Chasing home to be 3m form the winner TRALEE MAXIE here three runs back, she lands all the options from this alley to throw it down.

HOLLYWOOD ROOKI (8) was a last start winner at Marburg when buried in the run but finding the space to get into the clear and arrive for the prize. He can be chiming in again.

FLY CHEVAL (7) should enjoy the economics of the trip on offer here and be searching for the openings when straightening. Grabbing 3rd to SIR BOSTON here two starts back, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: TRACER BULLET (5), BAHAMAS MISS (1), HOLLYWOOD ROOKI (8), FLY CHEVAL (7)
SUGGESTED BET:  TRACER BULLET (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

FAKE CULLECTION (7)
was well supported to start in red figures here three runs back and despite facing the outside front line, the money was right as she claimed a 3m margin. Midfield when 7m from TORQUE LIKE MOTION in the Breeders Final at her next start, that type of form has her winning this.

MISS PAU (1) fired off the arm to take them all the way over the sprint trip at The Creek four runs back, holding a 2m margin. Barriers have been against her in three runs since that win and with the return to the tight alley here, she secures her chance to chase an all the way triumph.

CALL ME TRISH (2) was 8m in arrears of the winner last start after being shuffled back in the pack from gate 3. A similar margin behind DOLLARBILL the start prior, she can be close enough to feature.

THE HARRIS HAWK (4) is perhaps going a little better than his numbers suggest, his latest effort from outside the front lien at Marburg full of merit when just 3m from the winner. He is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: FAKE CULLECTION (7), MISS PAU (1), CALL ME TRISH (2), THE HARRIS HAWK (4)
SUGGESTED BET: FAKE CULLECTION (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

SONNY ORLANDO (4)
last tasted victory back in August last year and at his most recent appearance, faded to the rear behind JAMAICIAN RESORT. He looks to have found the right conditions and set up here and forcing the issue can get forward and look to capitalise.

ALWAYS AT NIGHT (8) has just a lone win and no minors to his name in 17 attempts for the year but will be trying to follow through to hold position here. Buried last start at Marburg, this is the type of contest in which he can feature.

BELLA GODIVA (6) is afforded no favours from the outside paint, but her last start was encouraging in making some late ground to grab 3rd at Marburg. Positioning cheaply will be key to her hopes.

LEAPING LEO (1) returns from a spell after a last start fade-out back in February from gate 3. With the economical trip from this gate, he is a podium player.

SELECTIONS: SONNY ORLANDO (4), ALWAYS AT NIGHT (8), BELLA GODIVA (6), LEAPING LEO (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SONNY ORLANDO (4) to win

RACE NINE

LITTLEDEE (5)
was buried in the run here two starts back but sticking to the inside and not going around another runner, all the gaps presented, and she just kept picking them off to claim a 3m winning margin. Not too far away last start from a wide gate over the AP mile, she can throw it down.

SPORTY AZZ (7) will need some factors in his favour at some point from this alley as he risks being snookered. Only 5m away last start from three back on the poles, he can search for the openings and if it arrives with track to play with, meets the opposition that he can get the better of.

JILLIBY GIZMO (6) cops the ODM embargo from his last start over the AP 2138 where he made the early error to cause a false start. Collared in the last strides here two starts back, he is a place hope.

FEEL THE THRILL (4) was asked to do it the tough way last start when parked and he was able to respond to finish 4m from the winner and hold 3rd place. He can be thereabouts once again.

SELECTIONS: LITTLEDEE (5), SPORTY AZZ (7), JILLIBY GIZMO (6), FEEL THE THRILL (4)
SUGGESTED BET: LITTLEDEE (5) to win

RACE TEN

MAMMALS DESTINY (5) was a tidy winner here two starts back from gate 4 when pressing forward in the middle stages to get outside the leader and despite the heavy lifting was able to see it out. A beaten fav from gate 6 last time, she has the wide gate again but looks up to the task.

CIRCLE LINE (9) is afforded no favours from the wide gate but with the ability to keep on grafting in his runs, he can get into the contest to issue a challenge. The outside second line was a hurdle too high last time at Marburg when 8m in arrears, but he cannot be ruled out in this line up.

RISKY BUZINESS (8) does his best work when rolling form the front but despite the second line gate, he does find the right opposition to chase the money.

WILD ABOUT TOWN (7) resumes form a spell and should secure the soft trip first up from this gate. If some momentum is in his favour when the lane presents, he is a podium chance.

SELECTIONS: MAMMALS DESTINY (5), CIRCLE LINE (9), RISKY BUZINESS (8), WILD ABOUT TOWN (7)
SUGGESTED BET:
