RACE TWO

IMA GRUMPY POSSUM (1) settled in the pocket trail 4 starts back and when the passing lane presented was able to sprint home over the top to the prize. Drawn off the 2^nd line in all 3 starts since that win, she will be fitter after her last start followed a freshen and can take the snipers shot.

ANNIKA MAGIC (10) made the most of conditions here last week when sent to the front from gate 4 she controlled the 2138m trip to claim a comfortable 6m victory. The start prior she held on for 3^rd after working home wide off the track and in these mares only races she is always in the fight.

TRILIGHT BRIGADE (2) was facing the breeze here last week and was in for the fight when 7m from the winner ANNIKA MAGIC. If she can hustle enough to find the pegs her chances will rise exponentially.

JOSSIE JAMES (7) is an opportunist that needs conditions to suit and will be relying on being close enough to issue a closing shot. With the right conditions 2 starts back she claimed victory and won’t be far away again.

RACE THREE

LINCOLN ROAD (7) saw plenty of the AP oval last week when forced to cover plenty of extra ground when looking to make his challenge. That followed a luckless run the week prior when shuffled away and never seeing track until it was too late. With no favours from the gate again, he can look to bounce back.

ROCK WITH SAM (10) loomed up strongly here 2 starts back but couldn’t quite get past a game MARETTI. Last week from gate 6 he found early position before eventually being shuffled right back but was still finding the line in good order. With the right cart into this he will be in the fight.

SPIKE BROMAC (4) couldn’t get across them last start and was forced to face the breeze when finishing mid-field and 9m from the winner. That followed a pair of 2^nd line gates and back to the front will but the zing in this.

BEAU CISHLOM (8) charged home here last start to arrive and claim a head victory in a stylish win over the mile. From the gate he should get a cosy trip and will be sweating on finding space with momentum.

RACE FOUR

GASMONKEY (8) will need plenty of luck in transit here and although not at his best from this gate, might just be able to sneak away with it this time. Angled to the pegs last start his closing sectionals were solid and that followed a game run from the breeze. In an open and tricky contest he is worth a ticket.

BELLS BEACH HOUSE (1) can be hard to catch but from the gate he will get every chance to look for an all the way win here. Pressing on to find the front here 2 starts back from gate 5 he was able to hold on for the win despite being under hard driving. Luckless last start from gate 7, he can go close.

OUTLAW FELLA (6) was warming up to a win after some tidy performances and capitalised last start when sent to the breeze and proving too strong over the 2138m trip. The gate hurts here but he won’t be far away.

LUCIFERS LEGEND (4) retreated from gate 7 last start and was then truing to make ground against the tempo. Only beaten in the last stride here 3 starts back, he can settle handy from the gate and is in the mix.

RACE FIVE

CALLMEQUEENBEE (10) slept well last Saturday night after being wide for most of the trip over the 2138m yet was still digging in to get within 2m of the winner in a brave effort. Strong from the breeze 2 starts back over the Menangle mile, she can bounce back with a vengeance here.

RENEE DALE (1) took them all the way at Parkes 3 starts back and after a steady opening half as able to build it strongly to put a moderate field to the sword in scoring by 33m. She chased gamely last start to grab the bronze behind PINUP BOY and from the ace will be in for the fight.

CHARLYSE (6) has placed at her past 4 starts in this class of contest, the latest when claiming 3^rd behind JOSSIE JAMES. Her run 2 starts back was strong when beaten a neck and she can feature.

HUGHIES SISTER (3) found the pocket trail from gate 2 here last week when making her Qld debut and resuming from a break. Strong to the line when only beaten 1m, she will be in the fight here.

RACE SIX

LILAC FLASH (12) started fav last time out from gate 6 and was snagged back early to find position. The tempo of the race over the 2138m made it impossible for those back in the pack with the last 800m in 55.2 from the front. There looks plenty of early tempo here to open up his swooping chances.

SHARDS HALO (4) was locked on the pegs last start from an inside 2^nd line gate and when finding space sprinted nicely to grab the silver behind the leader and winner THE IDES OF MARCH. With enough early speed to find a handy position she will be looking to find space in the closing stages.

MANDY KRIDEN (11) is in great form and after 3 successive placings was able to cash-in with a tidy won over the 2138m. She will appreciate the strong tempo and the old grey mare will be swooping hard.

MAKOA (2) didn’t have the best luck in transit last start and prior to that was facing a strong of bad gates. Going better than his numbers suggest and with the early speed, look for a sharper effort.

RARACE SEVEN

PELOSI (8) put the writing on the wall with a smart trial performance and duly delivered at her race debut when finding the line in good style to claim a 1^st up victory. Given a trial on Tues to keep sharp for this, she was given the chance to work in the run. With options from the gate she looks the danger.

XAVIERS HURRIKANE (7) was impressive on debut when cutting the breeze and despite getting keen in the run was still able to fight them off and claim a strong win in slick time. Trialling since that win to keep him ticking over, he faces the tough gate but looks to have his share of talent.

MILLWOOD TILLY (1) was a winner on debut at Newcastle when leading all the way from gate 5 and running a tidy closing 800m. She has run into some smart performers her past 2 and from the gate will be gripping on.

FROST EN ICE (6) doesn’t have any favours from this gate but she has done everything right in 2 career starts to date. After a fighting 2^nd on debut she led throughout last start and can podium here.

RACE EIGHT

GLENFERRIE HOOD (7) lands a tricky gate here but with the small field can look to make the most of his chances. Taken back from this same gate last start over the 2138m trip, he was closing in good order when 7m from the winner. That followed a pair of wins over the mile and he is the threat here.

SLICE OF HEAVEN (5) started from gate 10 here on Tues over the 2138m trip and with a sizzling tempo being set up front was able to get the right cart into the contest and finish over the top for a stylish victory. Showing good versatility this campaign he will be right in the fight here.

BEAVER (3) is in great touch since his fitness has tightened and was charging along the passing lane last start when beaten a head. That followed a tough win from the breeze and he will be in the mix.

MACH ALERT (6) went straight to the front over the 2138m trip last start and after a steady opening 800m ripped home in a pair of sub 28 closing quarters. The gate is sticky but he won’t be far away.

RACE NINE

GEE UP NEDDY (7) worked home from back in the pack here 2 starts back when resuming from a spell and caught the eye in the way he hit the line. Last start he went to the front from the 10m tape and looked like he might just hold on until he broke gait and was relegated back to 3^rd. He can atone.

QUIETLY SPOKEN (1) released the front over the 2647m trip here 2 starts back and with the soft run in transit was looking to finish up the passing lane. Last start under mobile conditions she again took the trail and finished best to take the win and a new track record. She will go mighty close again.

MISTER GUNSEN (9) worked straight to the front from the mobile here last week and set the tempo that led to the new track record. A brilliant beginner he can put the speed into this and will fight.

JUSTABITNOISY (3) resumes from a spell and has been to the trials 3 times in readiness for his return. A safe starter he can look for a cosy trip and will be finishing strongly.

RACE TEN

CROWNING GLORY (1) was a winner here 5 starts back when sent to the front from gate 6 over the sprint trip. Once in control he was never headed to score a 1.5m victory. Not suited off the 2^nd line at his next 2 outings, he was facing a task last start in a strong closing tempo. He can bounce back here.

EARL JUJON (8) started from gate 10 last time out and was working home wide off he track when finishing mid-field behind SPEEDIE MCARDLE. Too far back the start prior over the 2138m trip, he should find a perfect trail here and will be ready to issue the closing shot.

NEWPORT DREAMZ (10) started fav here on Tues but when he was unable to get across early was never really in the hunt. This is no harder and finding early position can look to be sharper.

PADRISIMO (3) found the line in good order at Tamworth last start when 6m from the winner. That has followed a run of tricky draws and with a handy gate here can look to chime into the exotics.
