RACE TWO

JUMPING JOLT (3) settled back in the pack from a 2nd line gate last start and was hitting the line nicely when grabbing the bronze behind the dictating CASINO GRIN. That followed a slick win from the front over the mile and with the speed to find the pegs can look to fight the off in the stretch.

GOTTA GOOD REASON (2) earns his ticket back into the main draw after being excluded in recent starts following a gate break 3 starts back. Last start he started to loom up but his run faded to be 7m from the winner. With a nice trail in behind the pressure he can be ready to take a closing shot.

TOM ME GUN (4) started fav last time out but found it tough going working into the contest wide out after starting from the 2nd line. Flying prior to that, he will throw down a strong challenge.

HEZ ALL COURAGE (8) will be needing a slice of luck from this alley but coiled up and saved for a closing shot will be sprinting home strongly. Grabbing 2nd last start after a soft trip he can repeat.

SELECTIONS: JUMPING JOLT (3), GOTTA GOOD REASON (2), TOM ME GUN (4), HEZ ALL COURAGE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: JUMPING JOLT (3) to win

RACE THREE

RUTHLESS ARMBRO (2) has returned from a break in good order with 2 wins in his past 4 outings. Locked away on the pegs last start at Redcliffe he was probing for runs that didn’t arrive in time when 8m from the winner in a strong mile. In an open contest he lands the gate to take advantage.

IM WITH LEXY (3) broke through for her 1st Qld win here last time out when making full use of the pocket trail and arriving right on the line up the passing lane. This is her best front-line gate in some time and if able to limit the early burn she will be right in the fight here.

NEWPORT DREAMZ (5) couldn’t muster the speed to find the pegs last start from gate 2 and was then facing a task with the airborne PACIFIC DRUMS dictating out in front. He can feature here.

PADRISIMO (10) found the line in good order at Tamworth last start when 6m from the winner. That has followed a run of tricky draws and despite another tricky alley here can get the right cart home.

SELECTIONS: RUTHLESS ARMBRO (2), IM WITH LEXY (3), NEWPORT DREAMZ (5), PADRISIMO (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

SKYFELLA CAM (1)
was a Redcliffe winner 5 starts back when leading throughout from gate 1 and keeping a solid tempo throughout. 3 starts back he found the line strongly from a tough gate to grab the silver. With good early speed he will get the options early and looks to get his chance to cash-in.

CROWNING GLORY (2) was a winner here 5 starts back when sent to the front from gate 6 over the sprint trip. Once in control he was never headed to score a 1.5m victory. Not suited off the 2nd line at his next 2 outings, he was facing a task last start in a strong closing tempo. He can fire the 1st shot.

GAME WE PLAY (8) led them up at the triangle last start and setting a good speed over the sprint trip was grabbed in the closing stages. Fitter following 2 runs back from a break he will enjoy a soft trip.

EARL JUJON (3) started from gate 10 last time out and was working home wide off the track when finishing mid-field behind SPEEDIE MCARDLE. Too far back the start prior he won’t be too far away.

SELECTIONS: SKYFELLA CAM (1), CROWNING GLORY (2), GAME WE PLAY (8), EARL JUJON (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SKYFELLA CAM (1) to win

RACE FIVE

SECRET JACK (2) started fav last time out when facing up from gate 10 he didn’t have the cleanest run in transit and was wide off the track when attempting to improve. Hustling hard early from the ace 2 starts back he led throughout over this trip and settling close to the speed can claim the prize.

GASMONKEY (5) was locked away on the pegs from inside the 2nd line last start which is not his preferred position but once he shouldered into space, he hit the line in nice style to grab the bronze. He likes to dig in for a fight and he should be able to roll the sleeves from this gate to challenge.

CASINO GRIN (6) led them up 2 starts back over the mile and set a solid tempo when only grabbed on the line by PSCYHEDELIC. He was sharp in front last week to claim a 2138m qualifier and is in this.

BELLS BEACH HOUSE (1) pressed ahead to take control over the mile and hold on to score here 3 starts back. Releasing last start he grabbed 2nd up the passing lane and can repeat that to place.

SELECTIONS: SECRET JACK (2), GASMONKEY (5), CASINO GRIN (6), BELLS BEACH HOUSE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SECRET JACK (2) to win

RACE SIX

WATCH PULP FICTION (1)
was tracking home wide off the track last start and hit the line strongly while the winner SLICE OF HEAVEN followed short-cuts. Only beaten a half-neck the run was arguably better than the winner. Not normally seen in the pocket trail, that’s where he likely is for this and he can scoot the lane to arrive for the prize.

GLENFERRIE HOOD (2) will appreciate the improved alley having been no closer than gate 6 in his past 10 starts. He was doing it tough in the breeze after pressing on from gate 7 last start and he uncharacteristically wilted under the pressure. Forgive the run and with the good gate he can atone.

SLICE OF HEAVEN (7) retreated from gate 5 last start and went luck hunting and that paid dividends when he had the seas part and arrive for a classy win. In superb form he will be closing out strongly.

LILAC FLASH (4) has a brilliant finish when saved for the closing shot and last start was working home strongly from gate 12 to be 1m from the winner. With the right cart home look for him swooping.

SELECTIONS: WATCH PULP FICTION (1), GLENFERRIE HOOD (2), SLICE OF HEAVEN (7), LILAC FLASH (4)
SUGGESTED BET: WATCH PULP FICTION (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

CLINTAL DO (9) found the 1x1 position here 2 starts back over the 2138m and was strong to the line when 3rd behind the swooping MANDY KRIDEN. Taken to Inverell last start he was a short-priced elect and powered home to a big victory. He can find good position here and prove too strong late.

SIR JULIAN (6) is flying at present and went within a half-head of victory here on Tues when splitting runners through the middle of the pack in a slick mile. Not suited the start prior when forced to cut the breeze, he can slide back early here and with the right cart home will be producing late.

PARISIAN ROCKSTAR (2) has been freshened since his last appearance when taking the pocket trail over this trip and finishing down the line. With slick moves from the mobile he can look to dictate.

THE SPACE INVADER (4) may not have the best numbers next to his name but his going better than they suggest. He never got a shot at them last week and was only 5m from the winner. If he has some luck he can arrive.

SELECTIONS: CLINTAL DO (9), SIR JULIAN (6), PARISIAN ROCKSTAR (2), THE SPACE INVADER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: CLINTAL DO (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

NEEDLE (7)
made the most of a rare appearance off the front-line tape here 2 starts back when pressing on to find the front and once in control was never in danger. Back to the mobile conditions last start she was game from the breeze in a track record over the mile. A safe beginner she can take this.

QUIETLY SPOKEN (6) is in the zone and shoots for a hat-trick after wins at the mile and the 2138m trip. Grabbed late by OUR OVERANOVA and beaten a head 3 starts back she has since arrived up the passing lane in successive weeks. Despite moving back 10m she can settle handy and sprint hard.

JUSTABITNOISY (8) will take great benefit from his last start when 1st up in over 6 months. Locked away on the fence he found the line in good order behind QUIETLY SPOKEN. He can swoop late.

IVANOV (2) is brilliant from the tapes and the return to the 2138m trip is right up his alley. Chasing via the passing lane to get within a half-neck 4 starts back he was then 3rd after a re-take manoeuvre that saw him run-down. He will be in the fight.

SELECTIONS: NEEDLE (7), QUIETLY SPOKEN (6), JUSTABITNOISY (8), IVANOV (2)
SUGGESTED BET: NEEDLE (7) to win

RACE NINE

TOP FLIGHT CRUIZE (10)
has been taking on stronger opponents in recent starts and despite coming up with a tough gate might just be able to flex his muscle here.  Making the most of the peg-line passage he grabbed the bronze behind JUMPING JOLT 2 starts back and limiting the burn he can arrive.

MONTEREY JACK (2) did some early work in the run from gate 4 over the sprint trip at Redcliffe 2 starts back and was in for the fight when only beaten a half-neck. Not suited in a strong closing 800m when sent to the breeze from the 2nd line last start, he can look to find the pegs and be gripping on.

SHILAH (11) has been racing well since resuming from a break and last start from the pocket trail grabbed the bronze behind RED CHARMER. That followed a tidy effort when 2m from COOL SCOOTER and with the right cart home will be in the mix.

WEE JIMMY (1) was snagged back last start and was a long way back in the pack trying to make late metres. With the perfect trip on offer from the trail here look for him taking his opportunity.

SELECTIONS: TOP FLIGHT CRUIZE (10), MONTEREY JACK (2), SHILAH (11), WEE JIMMY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TOP FLIGHT CRUIZE (10) to win

RACE TEN

CALLMEQUENBEE (3)
was the bravest of 3rds here 2 starts back when touring the 2138m trip 3-wide throughout and was still giving on the line. Last start over the mile she was in for the fight from the breeze after circling early from gate 10 and arrived for the prize. She should get it a little easier this week and capitalise.

CHARLYSE (5) is racing in great touch without being able to land a winning blow. Placed in 4 of her past 5 starts she has been starting from bad gates and running home strongly with the latest an eye-catcher when running on from the back to be 4m in arrears of CALLMEQUEENBEE. Look for her charging home.

BONNIE JUJON (1) went to the pegs hoping for some luck here last start and wasn’t too far behind them. Her run 2 starts back was strong when charging home late and with the soft trip here can feature.

CHLOES CLOUD (8) was grabbed in the closing stages at Redcliffe on Wed night up the passing lane when looking to lead throughout. She looks to be buried away here but will chase hard when the gaps present.

SELECTIONS: CALLMEQUENBEE (3), CHARLYSE (5), BONNIE JUJON (1), CHLOES CLOUD (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 3 / 1-5-8
