RACE TWO

A tricky maiden race to line-up here with some less experienced horses clashing with those searching for an elusive victory.  Fitter for her return last start, SARIE MARAIS (7) will need a fair rub of the green from this gate, but if she can get away from the pegs, looks a danger. Beaten a half-neck at her return by BRIGHTON PRINCE, if she finds the space, she can take the race.

PROMISES MADE (2) has been to the track 4 times and been well down the line on each occasion. Last start from gate 6 she was eased back to find position and was just too far out of the ground to make any late impact. Facing wide gates at each of her starts, the improved alley is a big plus.

LANOCH BOY (6) has placed in 5 of his 15 attempts, the latest when grabbing the silver behind MISTER FAHRENHEIT. The gate makes it tough here, but with even luck can be in the mix.

CROSSED LEGS (4) made an error last start but after re-setting was able to finish off in good order when not too far behind them. Wit a cleaner passage, she can chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: SARIE MARAIS (7), PROMISES MADE (2), LANOCH BOY (6), CROSSED LEGS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SARIE MARAIS (7) to win

RACE THREE

BETTOR MEMORIES (4) started fav on debut when sent to the front from this same gate over this trip. With a solid opening 800m, she was left wanting in the latter stages. Freshened since the outing, she will take the experience from the outing and finds the right race to bounce back hard.

CATCH THE BOUQET (2) has had no luck in landing a marble as she looks for her 1st victory and with the gate improvement here can return a sharper performance. Snagged back from gate 4 last start, she was buried in the run 2 back when chasing behind STORM GILBERT. This looks more suitable.

MANHATTAN DANCER (1) took on a stronger line-up last start and wasn’t disgraced from the 2nd line, even after not looking entirely comfortable. If she can get things in order from the gate, she has claims.

LOOKS JUST RIGHT (9) did it the tough way last start when cutting the breeze and fighting hard to hold on for the bronze. That was his 1st placing after 4 attempts and he can find the podium again.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR MEMORIES (4), CATCH THE BOUQET (2), MANHATTAN DANCER (1), LOOKS JUST RIGHT (9)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTOR MEMORIES (4) to win

RACE FOUR

WILLSINTOWN (8)
was locked away on the poles from inside the 2nd line here 2 starts back and when the gaps arrived, chased hard to be within 3m of the winner SCHOOBY. Showing speed off the arm last start to get across from out wide, he was sound to the line. With even luck in transit, he strikes a winnable contest.

A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (1) should appreciate the improved gate here after facing tough gates his past 3 outings. Working home wide out after starting from gate 8 last start, the effort was sound, following a tough run where he faded under the effort. Look for improvement off the ace here.

SCHOOBY (3) made the most of conditions here 2 starts back, finding the front from gate 2 and able to control the tempo to an all the way win. Not suited last start at Armidale, he is in the mix.

A BETTER CHANCE (6) has placed in 2 of 4 starts this term, the latest when chasing for 3rd behind the smart winner BRIGHTON PRINCE. The gate stings her claims again, but she can still be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: WILLSINTOWN (8), A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (1), SCHOOBY (3), A BETTER CHANCE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: WILLSINTOWN (8) to win

RACE FIVE

BOLT THE BOMB (2) will strip fitter from his latest outing when 1st up from a break and having his 1st run for the Greg Franklin barn. Forced to roll the sleeves and race tough over the AP 2138m trip, he was game in defeat, only fading in the closing stages. Back to the triangle in this company, he can prevail.

AROONA (8) was the best of the chasing pack to grab the silver behind AMAYA BECOMES 2 starts back when the race developed into a last stanza scamper. Settling back in the pack last start from gate 10, he arrived right in time to claim the prize. With the right early trail, he is in the fight.

LAUGHING EMOJI (10) was sent to the breeze from the 2nd line last start and under the workload faded to be well beaten. Probing for space the start prior, look for an improved effort in this.

TELL THE FUTURE (4) did some early work prior to receiving cover last start and then chased hard to be best of the rest behind the big winner SUGARKANE. Pressing forward, she has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: BOLT THE BOMB (2), AROONA (8), LAUGHING EMOJI (10), TELL THE FUTURE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BOLT THE BOMB (2) to win

RACE SIX

Featuring in a stable change, ARBIT MAJOR (1) will have his 1st outing for Donny Smith. With 8 of his 9 career wins coming here at the Redcliffe track, he lands the perfect gate to look for number 10. Working home from back in the pack to grab the silver 2 starts back, he looks to get every chance.

SEA HAWKE (4) took on a qualifier last start when eased from gate 3 he was soon a long way back in the pack when closing late to be 10m from the winner BETTR TO BE TRICKY and had followed a late closing 3rd to B MAC C. Back to the triangle, he should find this easier than recent starts and is right in the fight.

EYE SEE DOUBLE (8) was 1st up in Qld last start off a spell and faced a tough run in transit when facing the breeze over the 1780m. Freshened since that run, he will be in the mix again.

AMAYA BECOMES (10) doesn’t have any favours from this gate and will need some luck in transit. Beaten as the fav here last start from gate 6 when working home wide off the track, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: ARBIT MAJOR (1), SEA HAWKE (4), EYE SEE DOUBLE (8), AMAYA BECOMES (10)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-8-10

RACE SEVEN

JUST JOSHIN (9) settled back in the pack from this same gate last start over the 2040m trip and when asked for the effort, sprinted sharply to round them up and cruise home to an 8m victory. That followed a luckless run behind BUMPER and with a similar run in transit to last week, can arrive again.

TRUNKEY DIGGER (5) is knocking on the door and has now been runner-up at her past 3 in succession. Last start from gate 8 she was hitting the line in good order when 2m in arrears of OUR DELIGHT and that followed a strong finish from well back in the pack. The gate hurts but she can challenge.

RANFURLY RULZ (3) has taken on claiming company at his past 2 starts where he has been down the line behind COMLY OR DIE and COURAGEOUS LEO. Settling handy he can be chiming in late here.

PRECIOUS CULLEN (10) was forced to snag back from gate 6 last start to find position and never really worked into the contest, which had followed a tough run in the breeze. With a cart home he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: JUST JOSHIN (9), TRUNKEY DIGGER (5), RANFURLY RULZ (3), PRECIOUS CULLEN (10)
SUGGESTED BET: JUST JOSHIN (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

KATNISS (3) will strip fitter following her return to the track last start following a three month lay-off. Taking on a strong Sat night mares contest, she released the front from gate 1 and then used the passing lane to get within a head of the winner INNOCENT CROCKER. This is within reach from the gate.

GUPTAS CULLEN (10) has developed a great record here on the triangle with a top-3 in 8 of her 10 outings. Working across from gate 5 to take control over the sprint trip last start, she set a sharp tempo when grabbed on the wire by JUST ROKIN. That followed a smart win and she can challenge again.

DOLLARBILL (7) has worked his way back into some form and lines up here on the back-up from Armidale when finishing 3rd to KID MONTANA in the Cup. Wide off the track here the start prior, he will be probing for space.

ARTISTIC SAINT (1) worked home in good order last start to grab the silver behind BUMPER in a qualifier after starting from the 2nd line. With an easy trip on offer here, he can be ready to snipe.

SELECTIONS: KATNISS (3), GUPTAS CULLEN (10), DOLLARBILL (7), ARTISTIC SAINT (1)
SUGGESTED BET:
