The purchasers of four selected yearlings sold at the Garrard’s Redcliffe Yearling Sale on Sunday will have their first $250 sustaining payments paid for the rich Garrard’s Redcliffe Sales Classics.

The names of the four youngsters will be drawn from a hat by auctioneer Darren Ebert prior to the sale starting at 12 noon.

Graduates from the sale will be eligible for the Garrard’s Redcliffe Sales Classic carrying $100,000 stakemoney to be held at Redcliffe Paceway in June, 2023.

A total of 66 well-bred yearlings by Australasia’s leading sires and emerging sires have been nominated for the sale with strong drafts from many of Queensland’s most successful breeders.

The sale is a non-reserve auction with no upset price, and bidders can bid online via the link on the Darren Ebert & Co website.

All horses sold at the sale are eligible to compete in the $100,000 Garrard’s Redcliffe Sale Race Classic in June 2023 and the 3YO Classic in 2024.

Most horses are eligible for the QBRED scheme carrying $3.5 million in stakemoney and bonuses. They are also eligible for the NSW Breeders Challenge, Vicbred, Breeders Crown, Bathurst Gold Crown and NZ Sires Stakes.

Hard copies of the catalogue are available from the Albion Park and Redcliffe tracks, all Garrard’s Horse & Hound stores or phone Darren Ebert on 0410 688 176.
