RACE TWO

Placed at her past two starts, the latest when only just beaten HAMMERTIME HARLEY (7) just needs the factors in her favour to claim a breakthrough. Sent forward from wide out last start, she worked hard when just 1m in arrears. A head from the winner BLUE IVY the start prior, she will be stalking and ready to strike.

THE DARLING (9) will be out to keep her Qld record clean after a perfect 3 for 3 start since arriving with Ron Sallis. Swooping over the top from gate 6 here at her first appearance, she has gone back-to-back at headquarters, the latest when leading all the way. Relying on some tempo, she can challenge.

GET READY TO ROCK (1) will appreciate the improved gate after facing a strong of wider alleys in recent outings. Attacking the line strongly last start when just 1m from the winner MOLLIESMARYELLE, the gate is a big advantage.

WEEWAH (5) tackles her own sex for the first time at her third start since arriving in Qld and should appreciate this class of opponent. Strong to the line last start for 3rd after being buried, the wide gate stings.

SELECTIONS: HAMMERTIME HARLEY (7), THE DARLING (9), GET READY TO ROCK (1), WEEWAH (5)
SUGGESTED BET: HAMMERTIME HARLEY (7) to win

RACE THREE

Despite the tough gate to negotiate ROCK BOTTOM (5) has been in nice touch in recent outings. A winner three starts back when emerging from the pack to claim a swooping win, he has placed in both starts since, the latest when collared in the closing strides by PACIFIC DRUMS after being sent out as favourite.

FOUR STARZZZ FORSA (1) features in a stable change and lines up off the ace gate for new trainer Donny Smith. Doing some early work before receiving cover last start when down the line behind KINGOFTHESTARS, gate 10 was his undoing the start prior. The gate gives him every chance to dictate.

BEAU CISHLOM (6) was sent forward to sit parked last start from gate 6 and after working hard in the run faded in the latter stages to miss the money. Charging home from deep in the pack the start prior, he is in the mix.

KINGOFTHESTARS (7) showed he was building back towards a solid performance and delivered on that assessment when taking them all the way two starts back. Fading after sitting parked last start, he will be searching for a way clear.

SELECTIONS: ROCK BOTTOM (5), FOUR STARZZZ FORSA (1), BEAU CISHLOM (6), KINGOFTHESTARS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCK BOTTOM (5) to win

RACE FOUR

With zero favours garnered from the outside paint L L COOL J (6) might still be able to overcome his opposition. Forget his last start where he struck trouble, his form prior was strong with a pair of wins and a pair of close 2nds to open the season. Undefeated in three visits to Redcliffe, all in feature events, he can look for the quartet.

CLINTAL DO (1) was put out of play last start when striking trouble and having his night ended with a tyre problem. That was his first start since the Christmas Cup back on December 18 where he also struck trouble. He will relish the chance for a cosy tip in behind the speed and can be ready to make a closing offering.

IDEAL WORLD (7) lit the fuse off the arm last start to take control soon after the start over the 2138m and once in front was never headed. With the second line options to plot his own course, he can chime in.

STAR GALLERIA (3) is a newcomer to Qld to join the Thurlow stable and will be first up from a spell as he looks for some career revitalisation. Last claiming victory in April of 2021, he trialled super but looks at The Triangle for the first time.

SELECTIONS: L L COOL J (6), CLINTAL DO (1), IDEAL WORLD (7), STAR GALLERIA (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

An even looking battle to dissect here in the second division of the main mares contest where SHEZ GOT BLING (3) might just have the edge in closing speed to arrive. With early speed she can take an early shot before looking for cover, the same pattern from her last start when not far from the winner ROSIE ROCKS.

JEWEL OF PEAK (9) was looking to take them all the way over the AP mile two starts back and led them deep into the stretch and was trying to fight back when just a head in arrears of the winner. Buried last start from inside the second line, she is better suited in front but can be challenging.
TINGE OF FEAR (5) has placed at her past three starts, the latest when sent forward to sit parked and grinding out a gritty 3rd when beaten just a neck. A two-time winner at this track, she can get forward to feature.

BRILLIANT ART (6) has a better than 50% top-three strike rate here at Redcliffe and scored a string win here last start when pulling clear to a 6m margin. This is tougher but she is in the mix back to her own sex.

SELECTIONS: SHEZ GOT BLING (3), JEWEL OF PEAK (9), TINGE OF FEAR (5), BRILLIANT ART (6)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEZ GOT BLING (3) to win

RACE SIX

An increased stakes QBRED event here where on paper the two main players are both 3YO and both traversing The Triangle for the first time. DANGERZONE (3) will strip fitter following his first up run where he was hemmed away. He was ready to explode through, but the gap never opened in time, yet he was just a neck away. He can look to capitalise.

AWAYWEGO (6) has placed in all three starts this season, going under as an odd-on pop in two of those as he looks to get on the board for his 3YO term. Eased to find position at his first look over the middle-distance last start, he was strong to the line when 5m in arrears. The gate tings at his first look at the track.

BONNIES CAM (4) has been placed at his past two starts, the latest when out and chasing behind the effortless winner SMOOTH CASH. Positioning cheaply will be key to his podium hopes.

CALVERT HOT SHOT (2) settled in the 1x1 trail over the mile two starts back and owned superior closing speed to arrive. Midfield last start, he can be in the right spot to claim a podium result.

SELECTIONS: DANGERZONE (3), AWAYWEGO (6), BONNIES CAM (4), CALVERT HOT SHOT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: DANGERZONE (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

With three runs back from a spell where he has failed to flatter and been well beaten, KING TRITON (2) might just have things in his favour here to look to turn it all around. Too far back after retreating last start and the tempo putting it out of reach. He travels across Bramble Bay to the Peninsula for the first time where the gate can be the catalyst for a sharper return.

THE IRISH EAGLE (8) was a big winner on this track four runs back when taking control in the early stages and then keeping the power on throughout. Thereabouts without threatening in a pair of qualifiers at The Creek since that win, he was runner-up here last start and with the right trip can challenge.

LA SAFRON (7) angled to the poles here on Wednesday night and lost all his momentum when it got serious. Angling out into open space to find the line for the silver, he can be probing again here.

WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (3) eased from gate 6 last start over the mile and was just too far back to get into the contest. A gritty 2nd from the chair three runs back, he can get forward to feature.

SELECTIONS: KING TRITON (2), THE IRISH EAGLE (8), LA SAFRON (7), WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (3)
SUGGESTED BET: KING TRITON (2) to win

RACE NINE

With just one start in the region formerly known as the Sunshine State, BRYDON EARL (1) finds the right conditions to look for the breakthrough. An inside second line gate saw him soon buried in the run and then left flat footed in a 27.3 back straight bullrush. A slick Newcastle winner three starts back, the gate gives him the chance.

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (7) started from this same gate over the 2040m last time out and after the soft trip in behind the speed, had the bullets to land the snipers shot up the passing lane and secure victory. Taking them all the way here five runs back, he can stalk the speed and be ready to strike.

RING THE TILL (3) has been in superb form with five wins this season from seven outings. Finishing best to claim a 2138m victory last start, his record here at The Triangle is concerning.

STICK MAN (5) will take his first look at the track after two runs back from a spell. Grabbing the silver when resuming as a red figure favourite, the gate stings but he gets the chance in this line up.

SELECTIONS: BRYDON EARL (1), RECIPE FOR DREAMING (7), RING THE TILL (3), STICK MAN (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BRYDON EARL / RECIPE FOR DREAMING (1 / 7) exactas/quinella
