RACE TWO

Staring a well-supported fav in the first round McNeil heat, MIKEMARO (6) made a starting error before being sent to sit parked with the tough trip seeing him fade in the latter stages. Bouncing back with a smart win last start, he will need to chase from the 30m tape but looks up to the task.

KAPAI (8) has been super consistent and added another minor to the tally last start to stretch it to 10 of his past 12 where he has been in the money. Sent to sit parked from this same impost last start, he was fighting hard in holding on for 3rd and can be working into the battle again.

HATTIE (1) is still in search of her first Qld victory and following four successive placings was sent out as the fav here last week when finishing 8m in arrears of AURORA. The inside lane helps her chances.

MISTER CHISHOLM (3) made an error before being sent forward to sit parked and the tough trip took a toll. Normally a safe beginner, he can be close to the action.

SELECTIONS: MIKEMARO (6), KAPAI (8), HATTIE (1), MISTER CHISHOLM (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MIKEMARO (6) to win

RACE THREE

Landing this same gate on Saturday night over the 2040m trip, FOUR STARZZZ FORSA (1) was clinging to the lead in the stretch, only to be collared in the last stride by ROCK BOTTOM. Setting a strong last 800m, he gets back to the sprint trip and will get every chance to see this out.

BOHANNAN (7) was beaten by gate 6 last start when retreating in the early stages to look for the shortcuts up the poles. Hitting dead ends, he could have been closer than the 4m margin with a smoother passage. With the chance for the economical trip, he will be ready to strike.

EH EF EL (2) struck trouble last start that saw him banished to the trials and after earning the return will be looking to hit the board for the first time here at Redcliffe. Settling close to the action helps.

MAJOR GENERALJUJON (3) made the most of the inside draw here last start and burrowing through was able to keep them wide and lead throughout. The winning confidence can see him chime in.

SELECTIONS: FOUR STARZZZ FORSA (1), BOHANNAN (7), EH EF EL (2), MAJOR GENERALJUJON (3)
SUGGESTED BET: FOUR STARZZZ FORSA / BOHANNAN (1/7) quinella/exacta

RACE FOUR

After winning from gate 4 here five starts back PATCHWORK JET (2) has been sent out as the favourite in the four starts since but been unable to touchdown with the prize. Placed at each appearance, he was gunned down when leading last start. He looks to get every chance.

AROONA (3) will take further benefit from his latest outing when third up from a spell. Rolling forward before easing into the pocket trail, he held on for the silver behind BE ON THE SLY. Settling handy to the action from this alley, he can look to challenge.

BRISKET (4) will be fresh up from a spell after placing at his past three in succession last campaign. Just a half-neck away three starts back, this is easier than his last two starts and he has claims.

MONTANA PRIDE (7) will need a slice of luck from this gate as he looks set to be hemmed away. Midfield last start at Marburg, he will be searching for the gaps to chime in.

SELECTIONS: PATCHWORK JET (2), AROONA (3), BRISKET (4), MONTANA PRIDE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: PATCHWORK JET (2) to win

RACE FIVE

After a nixed 2YO term was rounded out with a 2nd in the G1 APG Final back in August, I AM SPARTA (2) has not fired a shot in three starts back this season. Tackling the middle distance 2138m for the first-time last start, he folded up with a subsequent issue explaining the defeat. This will be his first look at Redcliffe, but he looks to get his chance to get it back on track.

RAINBOW JET (5) has a tidy record here at Redcliffe that has been somewhat tarnished at his past three starts where nothing has really been in his favour. Beaten by gate 9 last start, his previous two starts he was buried in the run and never saw space. Despite a sticky gate, he is in the fight.

MELTON BEACH (8) claimed a maiden breaking win three starts back and has bumped into a handy one at his next two when placing behind RACY ROXY and then TIMS A TROOPER. He has claims.

BEACH MAGIC (4) broke through for the maiden breaking win two starts back when grinding out a tough win from the chair. Just a half-head away last start, he can feature once again.

SELECTIONS: I AM SPARTA (2), RAINBOW JET (5), MELTON BEACH (8), BEACH MAGIC (4)
SUGGESTED BET: I AM SPARTA (2) to win

RACE SIX

After finishing as the runner-up at his past two in succession ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (1) comes up with the right gate to go one better. Trying to launch a passing lane raid behind PACIFIC COIN last start, he chased SIGNOR JUJON the start prior. He lands the options to capitalise.

GLITTER STRIP (9) had put the writing on the wall that an improved performance was around the corner and franked that assessment when claiming victory from gate 5 here last week. Powering home over the top of them to claim a tidy win, he will be relying on some tempo to challenge.

TRIOLI (2) settled in the 1x1 trail last start before weaving a passage to grab 3rd behind GLITTER STRIP. Fading out the start prior, her chances rest with limiting the work in transit.

ULAANBAATAR (6) darted through a gap three starts back and with the luck in run, went on to claim the prize. Runner-up to ROCKNROLL TIMES at her next start, she has podium claims despite the gate.

SELECTIONS: ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (1), GLITTER STRIP (9), TRIOLI (2), ULAANBAATAR (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

JUDGE JUJON (7)
was content to sit parked last start where he was able to graft out a determined win. Strong to the line the start prior when working home from deep in the pack, this will be a tougher assignment but with all the favours off a cosy trip can strike in the stretch.

SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE (9) will take good benefit from his return to the track here last week when resuming after 14-months off the scene. Rolling forward to sit parked, he was working hard but could not go with them when the power went on. He can challenge despite the tough gate.

DESTINY JANE (1) was beaten by gate 6 last start when retreating and then never able to work into the contest. From this gate she gets her chance to dictate and will be gripping on.

PRECIOUS SARA (2) was first up in Aus last time out when tackling a second division mare’s qualifier. Buried in the run from inside the second line, the run had merit and she can be in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: JUDGE JUJON, SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE (9), DESTINY JANE (1), PRECIOUS SARA (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

After throwing the race away when first up with a pair of gait breaks, SAGINAW (5) was again sent to the post deep into the red here last week. With another error soon after the start, his day again looked done, only to reset, chase, work around them from the 500m and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. If he can maintain gait, he should be too slick.

ROCKNROLL TIMES (1) takes his first look at this track and arrives a smart winner last time out in terrible conditions at The Creek after holding the front in a slick opening panel. With the speed to keep them wide, he will be best placed to exploit any opportunities.

PARATROUPER (3) is a three-time winner here on The Triangle and grabbed a passing lane 3rd here last start behind MISTY CREEK. Settling handy to the action, he is a podium chance.

WHATTA GOOD REASON (7) struck trouble in the run last start that ended his day. From this alley he should secure an economical trip and be ready to make a passing lane play.

SELECTIONS: SAGINAW (5), ROCKNROLL TIMES (1), PARATROUPER (3), WHATTA GOOD REASON (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 5 / 1-3-7

RACE NINE

This is the fourth heat and looks to generate plenty of tempo. With the gate to settle close to the action ITS MR CLOONEY (2) could be the one after placings at his past three in succession. Holding on for 3rd at Marburg in a previous heat after working hard, he comes up with early options.

ADAM CROCKER (5) made a mess of the start off the second line last start at Marburg and will be forced to start from gate 6 for that error. That was his first run back from a spell and despite shifting wider, if they opt to light the fuse off the gate, he has the speed to find the front for the challenge.

ISOLATION (8) will be reliant on the tempo which should arrive in the early and middle stages. Caught in the pack last start at Marburg, he can be making a play.

CHAMONIX (7) will be relying on a slice of luck from this alley as he is in danger of being buried in the run. Closing out in nice order to grab 3rd to MAJOR GENERALJUJON last start, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: ITS MR CLOONEY (2), ADAM CROCKER (5), ISOLATION (8), CHAMONIX (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ITS MR CLOONEY (2) to win
