RACE TWO

ACE MONTANA (8) resumes from a spell and was last seen when using the passing lane to claim victory over the Redcliffe 2040m trip. That was his 2nd victory on the triangle following his all the way win over the sprint trip there 4 starts back and from the tough gate he can look to return in style.

SHIMANSHYNE (4) resumes from a spell as she looks to secure the 1st win of her career. Forced to breeze last start at Redcliffe, she was in for the fight when 6m from the winner. Forced to work too hard in the run the start prior, she is in the fight and can go close here.

SHESFEELINPRECIOUS (5) rolled forward and was doing her share of work last start when finishing mid-field behind MUCHO GUAPA. The start prior she found the line in good style and despite still looking for a maiden breaking win, can feature here.

SELECTIONS: ACE MONTANA (8), SHIMANSHYNE (4), SHESFEELINPRECIOUS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ACE MONTANA (8) to win

RACE THREE

MOLLIGUANNA (2) was a winner from the 2nd line here 4 starts back when working home over the top to claim a 7m victory. In the 3 runs since that win she has drawn the 2nd line twice and last start was snagged back in a much stronger race than this. In an open contest, she is worth a ticket.

PEGGY STARDUST (4) found the 2138m trip a bit beyond her reach at AP on Thurs and should find this a more suitable assignment. Over the sprint trip here 3 starts back she found the pocket trail but couldn’t go on with it. Despite coming up with the tricky gate, she has claims.

WHATA STRIDE (8) started from the 2nd line at AP last start and setting mid-field found the pace a bit too slick. Breaking her maiden at Redcliffe 3 starts back, she has place claims in this field.

STRANGE CONDUCT (1) started fav at Redcliffe last start from gate 1 but showed no early speed at all and was soon shuffled to 3 back the pegs. Chasing home for the bronze he can place again here.

SELECTIONS: MOLLIGUANNA (2), PEGGY STARDUST (4), WHATA STRIDE (8), STRANGE CONDUCT (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

GOALKICKER (4)
is a consistent mare that always runs a top race and comes into this a last start winner at Redcliffe when pressing on to find the front and proving too strong. Best of the chasing pack to grab the silver in the Goldstrike Final 2 starts back, she looks hard to stop here.

TAKITIMU EXPRESS (7) was charging to the line at AP on Thursday when finishing 5m from the winner over the 2138m trip. The start prior he took on a 2nd division qualifier when not seeing the cleanest path in transit. Havin his 1st Aus start from the tapes he can issue a challenge.

WEE JIMMY (6) stepped cleanly and was soon in front in a Goldstrike heat here 3 starts back and taking control took them all the way. 3rd to ELMS CREEK last start, he will be in the mix here.

PRETTYCOMPACT (1) steps from the tapes for the 1st time at the official races here, although she has experience from the Toowoomba and Warwick Shows. Stepping well, she can be in the numbers.

SELECTIONS: GOALKICKER (4), TAKITIMU EXPRESS (7), WEE JIMMY (6), PRETTYCOMPACT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GOALKICKER (4) to win

RACE FIVE

FLYING WINGARD (9) started fav last start from the tapes when resuming from a spell. Left standing when they released, he was then sent forward wide around them early and faded in the latter stages. Fitter for the outing, the return to the mobile is a big plus and he can arrive for the prize.

OOZINVILLE (2) hasn’t been suited in his 4 runs since joining the Ricky Gordon barn with 3 of his 4 appearances coming from the 2nd line and the other from the stand start. With blistering early speed, the return to the mobile sprint trip are ideal and he will take some catching.

ARTS PEREGRINE (7) is still searching for his 1st Marburg victory after 15 attempts, having placed in 6 of those outings. Locked away on the pegs last start, he should get a nice early trail and can feature.

TASCOTT LADY (8) found the work a bit much when facing the breeze last start over the 2138m trip at AP. Strong from the breeze here 2 starts back when holding on for 2nd, she won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: FLYING WINGARD (9), OOZINVILLE (2), ARTS PEREGRINE (7), TASCOTT LADY (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (1)
is still searching for his 1st victory of 2019 and can look to make the most of the gate. Locked away on the pegs at Narrabri 3 starts back he didn’t have a shot and was again buried at his next outing. Luckless in finding position last start, this looks his chance to bounce back.

HERITAGE BEACH (6) looked to take them all the way at AP 2 starts back when grabbed in the closing strides to go under a half-neck. Not suited when forced to cover plenty of ground from gate 10 last start, he should get a cosy trip here and a beach quinella on a public holiday is always a great option!

OMINOUS FLYER (3) features in a stable switch and will line up for Greg Minns. Freshened since his last appearance when fading out late, he can look to capitalise on a solid Marburg record.

MY ULTIMATE HELL (5) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when mid-field after starting from the 2nd line. The gate makes it tricky but with even luck he can chime onto the exotics.

SELECTIONS: IFOUNDTHEBEACH (1), HERITAGE BEACH (6), OMINOUS FLYER (3), MY ULTIMATE HELL (5)
SUGGESTED BET: IFOUNDTHEBEACH (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

DOMESTIC ART (1) will be on the back-up from Friday where he looked a money chance from gate 1. With good early speed he will be better here after his previous 2 were from the tapes. His last win here came after a short back-up from AP to Marburg and he can look to repeat that formula here.

INCITER (4) rolled forward from gate 4 at Redcliffe last start to take up the running over the 2040m trip and fighting on held on to claim the bronze. Grabbed late here last start to hold down 2nd, he kept his perfect top-3 record on this track in-tact and he will be right in the fight again here.

GETINANHANGON (5) has been meeting some stronger opponents than he will face here, however he will need to overcome the tough gate. Not suited in the breeze last start, he is in the mix here.

MYANGA SPORTSGIRL (6) will have her 1st look at the track and comes into this backing up from Tamworth on Thurs. A beaten fav when 3rd at Narrabri 3 starts back, she will be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: DOMESTIC ART (1), INCITER (4), GETINANHANGON (5), MYANGA SPORTSGIRL (6)
SUGGESTED BET: DOMESTIC ART (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

WILLS (4)
is still searching for his maiden Qld victory yet has been showing good improvement at each outing, suggesting he isn’t far away. Last start he eased back from gate 4 and worked home well in the small field when 9m from the winner CELTIC CRUZA. This looks his chance to cash-in.

RIVERLEIGH JEFF (1) was forced to cut the breeze last start from the tapes and the hard run took its toll when he faded out. Gus run the start prior was better than the return suggests after he snagged back from gate 6. With the benefit of the ace gate and a liking for the track he can be sharper here.

STEVIE DEE (9) retreated from gate 7 in a mares qualifier 2 starts back and the tempo made it tough from back in the pack. Sound at AP on Thurs, this looks to suit despite the tough alley.

KARINYA MULLY (6) led them up from gate 1 over the sprint trip at Redcliffe last start. Not entirely comfortable in the early stages he set a solid tempo. Needing some luck here he can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: WILLS (4), RIVERLEIGH JEFF (1), STEVIE DEE (9), KARINYA MULLY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: WILLS (4) to win
