RACE TWO

JANIES GOT A GUN (9) settled in the 1x1 trail last start over the sprint trip and with an even tempo set from the front, was able to arrive for the prize in claiming victory by a head. Tough from the breeze 2 starts back, there looks to be some solid tempo here and she can swoop home again.

JUST TOMMY (3) was locked away on the pegs last start from inside the 2nd line when sprinting hard in the closing stages when 6m from the winner SACHE GIRL. The start prior he chased home the all the way winner TRAIN WRECK and hustling hard in the early stages here can look to take control.

ULTIMATE AD (1) was charging home in the stretch at AP 2 starts back to get within a flared nostril of victory. Retreating from gate 5 last start, he lands the options here and is right in the fight.

STUDLEIGH STRIDE (4) was taken back from a wide gate last start over the 2138m at AP before making a wide run. The effort was better than the return suggests and he can challenge here.

SELECTIONS: JANIES GOT A GUN (9), JUST TOMMY (3), ULTIMATE AD (1), STUDLEIGH STRIDE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-4-9

RACE THREE

SPONDOOLEY (7) was angled to the pegs from the 2nd line over the AP 2138m 2 starts back when hitting the line in good style to be within 4m of the winner. Capitalising from gate 1 last start he was able to take them all the way in clearing out for a comfortable win. He can take the snipers shot.

DYNAMIC DEEJAY (1) has been freshened since his last appearance when fading out after setting the tempo over the 2040m after spearing out from gate 4 to take control. Within 9m of the smart TROJAN BANNER the start prior, he can look to take control and fight them off here.

GOODTIME STRIDE (8) should find this easier than her last start when settling back in the pack from gate 4 behind IM NORMA JEAN. With the options to look for the pegs, she can chime in to place.

MIRACLESDOAPPEN (4) started from gate 6 last time out and was snagged back to find position. Grabbed late when looking to lead all the way here 3 back, she can get forward to challenge here.

SELECTIONS: SPONDOOLEY (7), DYNAMIC DEEJAY (1), GOODTIME STRIDE (8), MIRACLESDOAPPEN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SPONDOOLEY (7) to win

RACE FOUR

VALIANT GEM (4)
started in red figures last time out at AP from gate 1 yet couldn’t muster the early speed. That saw him buried away against the markers and his chances evaporate as a result. Strong from gate 6 when wide-out 2 starts back, pressing forward he can look to bully his way to the front.

AMILLION PROMISES (7) returned to start his 3YO season here last week and after starting a short-priced fav was forced to cut the breeze. Hoisting the white flag a fair way out, he finished down the line. Forgive the run and taking fitness from the outing, the soft trip here should suit.

ZARAS ALL SMILES (3) settled in the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line 2 starts back when using the passing lane to grab the bronze behind DEVOUGED. With even luck in transit she can podium.

DE VOYAGE (8) returned to start her 3YO season last start when landing gate 9. Settling back in the pack she was sound to the line in the closing stages. With 4 weeks since that outing, she can place.

SELECTIONS: VALIANT GEM (4), AMILLION PROMISES (7), ZARAS ALL SMILES (3), DE VOYAGE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: VALIANT GEM (4) to win

RACE FIVE

CANDYFLOSS (4) started from gate 6 last time out and was snagged back in the early stages to find position. Working home in the closing stages wide off the track, she attacked the line in good order to be 5m from the winner. A similar margin 2 starts back, she strikes a winnable contest here.

MEANT TO BE ME (2) will be further tightened from her latest start when having her 3rd run back from a break. A passing lane winner when 2nd up, she grabbed the silver last start up the passing lane over the AP 2138m trip behind OUT DELIGHT. From the gate she can be right in the fight here.

TORQUE WITH ESTEEM (3) started from gate 1 over the AP mile 3 starts back when striking trouble in the run. Her past 2 have been from 2nd line gates wit the latest when put out of play. She can be sharper here.
SIXPENNY RED (7) settled in the pocket trail over the AP mile last start and with the cosy trip held on to claim the silver behind TIMELESS APPEAL. She will need a slice of luck here but the soft trip suits.

SELECTIONS: CANDYFLOSS (4), MEANT TO BE ME (2), TORQUE WITH ESTEEM (3), SIXPENNY RED (7)
SUGGESTED BET: CANDYFLOSS (4) to win

RACE SIX

ARK PATROL (5)
has been runner-up at his past 2 outings at both the 2138m and the mile at AP. Leading them up last start he faced some heat in the run and was grabbed in the closing stages when beaten a head. Back to the triangle where he has claimed 4 from 7, he looks set to take control here.

GOALKICKER (6) isn’t afforded any favours from the gate but looks set to throw down a strong challenge. Shooting for a hat-trick of victories last start, she started in red figures from gate 1 when setting a solid tempo out in front before folding up. Despite the gate she is right in the mix here.

TRACES OF TARA (10) makes her Qld debut for Donny Smith and will be 1st up in 7 weeks. Last sighted on Mar 30 when 6m from the winner at Bankstown, she is in the mix here.

DOOLITTLE DANDY (2) was too tough from the breeze here 4 starts back in claiming victory over the 1780m. A tidy 2nd at AP from the pocket trail 2 starts back, the distance is a big query here.

SELECTIONS: ARK PATROL (5), GOALKICKER (6), TRACES OF TARA (10), DOOLITTLE DANDY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ARK PATROL (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

VILLAGE CRUSIER (7) wasn’t suited from the breeze last start in a slick AP mile after doing all the heavy lifting. Rolling forward to take control 2 starts back at AP he faded in the closing stages. He will need his share of luck from this gate, but if hitting the passing lane with momentum he can arrive.

SCOTT TOM (10) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon angled into the running line and found the line in good order from back in the pack to finish mid-field. His effort 2 starts back at AP was a tidy run and despite the tricky gate, this looks within reach.

LEORYAN (1) was fired off the arm from gate 5 last start to get forward and only faded in the latter stages. With the benefit of the ace gate he can take control and try to fight them off.

MODERN THOUGHT (5) has been well held in recent starts and last time out was shuffled right back after starting from gate 1. Fitter for that run following 6 weeks between outings, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: VILLAGE CRUSIER (7), SCOTT TOM (10), LEORYAN (1), MODERN THOUGHT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: VILLAGE CRUSIER (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

THATS FUNNY (4)
ran better than the return suggests at her debut when starting from the 2nd line and being buried away in transit. Here last start she struck trouble in the run when the field was dismantled, with the leader and winner ARCHILLES clearing out to win and can cash-in here.

TIC TACT (6) was only beaten 6m behind FOND MEMORIES on debut when finding the trail from gate 2. She made an error at the start last time out which cost her all chance, but the effort had merit. Not helped by the wide gate here, the small field does help in finding position to challenge.

SIGNOR JUJON (5) is a Mr Feelgood colt on debut for Grant Dixon that has trialled here at Redcliffe in preparation for his debut. That was a sound effort and he stays under notice here.

SELECTIONS: THATS FUNNY (4), TIC TACT (6), SIGNOR JUJON (5)
SUGGESTED BET:
