RACE TWO

TRUE STEPPER (6) has the wide gate to negotiate, yet she has been in good form this campaign with a top-3 in all 6 outings. Eased back last start form this gate, she was closing out nicely to get within 2m of the winner IDEAL TIGER. 3rd to the flying CAUTIVAR 2 starts back, she looks the one to beat.

ANOTHER STATEMENT (1) returns from a break without the benefit of a preparatory trial. Runner-up 3 starts back, he followed that with a 3rd behind STREET APPEAL. An all the way winner from this gate 5 starts back, the next 4 have been from no closer than gate 7. He gets his chance 1st up here.

LUXURY LAD (5) is undefeated in his 2 starts at Redcliffe over 1780m and heads to The Creek for the 1st time. A passing lane winner 1st up, he swooped late to score last time. The 2138m is a query, however both wins have been strong.

HAVING THE FAITH (8) will take some benefit from his 1st Qld appearance when beaten a half-head after starting fav at Redcliffe. With a cosy trip, he can look to make a closing play in the stretch.

SELECTIONS: TRUE STEPPER (6), ANOTHER STATEMENT (1), LUXURY LAD (5), HAVING THE FAITH (8)
SUGGESTED BET: TRUE STEPPER (6) to win

RACE THREE

SIGNOR JUJON (4)
started fav here 2 starts back from gate 3 when runner-up to BEEF CITY STARZZZ, beaten 5m. Too far back in the pack last start as BETTERTHANDIAMONDS carved it out in front, he strikes the right conditions here and with the ability to do some work, gets his chance to capitalise.

MODERNDAY FALCON (1) found the pocket trail last start but then found the tempo too strong in fading in the closing stages. Not much went in his favour 2 starts back when searching for some space when down the line behind STREET APPEAL and with the options from this gate, has claims.

SIR BULSKI (10) was setting the shop up on the front end last start over the mile when drifting up the track under pressure. Banished to the trials for the indiscretion, he trialled in good order behind TIZ A SIZZLER and can be chiming in here.

VOODOO FELLA (9) has placed at his past 2 starts, the latest when grabbed in the closing stages after setting the tempo over the Redcliffe sprint trip. The gate stings, however he can place.

SELECTIONS: SIGNOR JUJON (4), MODERNDAY FALCON (1), SIR BULSKI (10), VOODOO FELLA (9)
SUGGESTED BET: SIGNOR JUJON (4) to win

RACE FOUR

ALLSTAR SEA (10)
will take good benefit from his 1st start since arriving in Qld when only a neck short of the victory. In a roughhouse affair early, he was able to secure the leaders back and with the race turned into a last stanza scamper, he was only beaten a neck. With even luck, he can arrive.

THE MONEY BALL (7) is screaming out to land a barrier, however it hasn’t been heard this time and he lands the outside once again. Looking to pinch it when kicking clear at the 300m last start, the 2138m was just a bit too far, fading into 3rd. With any sort of luck in transit, he can take this.

MISTER COLE (4) rolled the sleeves last time out to do it the tough way and making a late dive was only beaten a head. That followed a tidy 3rd in stronger company and from the gate, is right in this.

VENUS JUJON (3) also had to grind it out last start when obliged to sit outside the speed and was game when only 2.5m from the winner BETTERTHANDIAMONDS. From the gate she can feature.

SELECTIONS: ALLSTAR SEA (10), THE MONEY BALL (7), MISTER COLE (4), VENUS JUJON (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

This looks an open contest with a few chances where the tempo of the race will be all important to the hopes of many. DONT CALL ME (8) broke through for an overdue win at Redcliffe last start when capitalising on a tight alley to take them all the way, running a nice closing 800m. He will be relying on some factors in his favour here, but if finding the passing lane with momentum, he can arrive.

OASIS DREAM (3) has been campaigning in Sat night qualifying races and hasn’t been too far from the mark. Runner-up to LETTUCEFIRESTAR 2 starts back, he was only a half-head away 5 back behind BETTOR TO BE TRICKY. Able to do some work, this race looks within his capabilities.

PURE CHARISMA (6) doesn’t have any favours from the wide gate, as she searches for her 1st success at AP after 5 attempts. Eased back last start from gate 5, she was making good closing ground and in this line-up, won’t be far away.

RUNFORTHEROSES (10) resumes from a freshen after last seen when runner-up in a mares qualifier. Only beaten a half-neck on that occasion, she will need some luck in transit and looks a place hope.

SELECTIONS: DONT CALL ME (8), OASIS DREAM (3), PURE CHARISMA (6), RUNFORTHEROSES (10)
SUGGESTED BET: DONT CALL ME (8) to win

RACE SIX

COMMODORE JUJON (9) was angled to the pegs last start and was back in the field as the power was on in front. Trying to thread a passage in the closing stages, he found the line in nice style. That followed a 2m margin when attacking the line late and 3 back he charged home to be beaten a head. With even luck, he can arrive here.

LAUGHING EMOJI (4) claimed a mares qualifier 2 starts back when spearing out to take control from gate 2 and taking them all the way. Grabbing the silver last start after settling in the pocket trail and finishing 4m from KOTIRO, she has early speed and with options can challenge in this line-up.

TIMELESS APPEAL (6) found the front prior to releasing for the trail last time out. Using the passing lane to get within a neck of the winner, it followed a tidy 3rd. Early position will be key to her chances.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (10) has been below his best in recent starts and despite this being over the 2138m trip, he can get the right trip. Fighting hard from the breeze last time, he can be an improver.

SELECTIONS: COMMODORE JUJON (9), LAUGHING EMOJI (4), TIMELESS APPEAL (6), IFOUNDTHEBEACH (10)
SUGGESTED BET: COMMODORE JUJON (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

CELTIC CRUZA (4)
took on a qualifier here 2 starts back when sent forward from this alley over the 2138m. Setting the tempo out in front, he rolled up the track under pressure at the 400m, fading out of contention in the process. In for the fight last start, he can get forward and finds his race to strike back.

AQUA CRUISER (1) is yet to find the winners stall in 10 outings here at The Creek, yet he finds the right conditions in looking to rectify that. Having an early dip prior to easing for the 1x1 trail last start, he wasn’t too far away. With the advantage from the inside line, he can challenge here.

MISTER BLACKJACK (3) has been hitting the line strongly in recent starts, the latest when working home from well back in the pack to get within a neck of the winner. With the right trip he can feature.

TACT BESS (6) has been freshened since her last outing when eased back from gate 7 in a 2nd division qualifier and then not really finishing off. Given time to get sorted, she can be sharper here.

SELECTIONS: CELTIC CRUZA (4), AQUA CRUISER (1), MISTER BLACKJACK (3), TACT BESS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CELTIC CRUZA (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

An interesting contest looming here with the star 3YO GOVERNOR JUJON (10) returning following a brief lay-off and lining up against the older horses. The in-form CAUTIVAR (4) might just be able to exploit any fitness queries with The Guv who will start outside the 2nd line 1st up. A winner at his past 3 in succession, he has been tearing through the grades and with a solid tempo again on offer, he can spring an upset.

GOVERNOR JUJON (10) is all class, missing a placing just twice in his 14 start career, with both of those coming in his past 3 outings and both at Menangle. 4th to PERFECT STRIDE over the 2300m 3 starts back, it was a brave effort in the breeze and was backed-up with an NSW Derby heat win. Not at his best for the Final, he has trialled nicely behind HECTORJAYJAY to prepare. He will be swooping.

COLOMBIAN GOLD (1) was forced to do it tough when sent to the breeze last time and with the power on, she felt the pinch at the 300m when dropping out. Better suited in front, she will give them something to gun down.

PACIFIC DRUMS (6) will take good benefit from his latest start at Redcliffe when locked on the poles and finding the line in good order. That run was after almost 6-weeks between starts and he will be in for the fight.

SELECTIONS: CAUTIVAR (4), GOVERNOR JUJON (10), COLOMBIAN GOLD (1), PACIFIC DRUMS (6)
SUGGESTED BET:
