RACE TWO

EL SWAVO (3) added another minor to his tally last start to make it placings in 6 of his past 8 appearances. Sent to the breeze from the 20m tape, he was whacking away and fought hard to be 6m in arrears of the winner. From the 10m and using his safe manners, can he overcome the win drought in this?

DOWN UNDER RORS (6) was sent forward here on Tues and doing it the tough way was in for the fight when 9m shy of the winner, the in-form HAVANA MAGIC. Runner-up at his previous 2 starts, the 30m tape is a query, yet he can look to get the right trail to issue the challenge.

ASTRAL RULER (7) came off the 50m last start when chasing hard wide off the track to get within 7m of the winner SHEGOTSASS. Making an error 2 starts back, if he brings the manners he can be thereabouts.

SOH TWISTED (1) is fast approaching 4 years since the last of her 2 career wins, yet she lands the front tape here and with the right run in transit can look to add a minor to her tally here.

SELECTIONS: EL SWAVO (3), DOWN UNDER RORS (6), ASTRAL RULER (7), SOH TWISTED (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

SUNNY RICE (5)
is still a maiden, yet she finds the right type of assignment here and should appreciate this level of opponent. Not much went right last start behind ANOTHER STATEMENT and the start prior, she was a little flat 2nd up from a break behind FLO RYDA. With even luck, she can open her account at start 10.

ITS YOU NOT ME (1) returned form a spell last start at Redcliffe when securing the pocket trail. Hitting the line in good order, he will take benefit from the outing. With another economical trip on offer, he can be ready to chime in when the gaps arrive.

FRANCO NEVAEH (10) was a long way back in the pack last start when trying to make ground and never really made an impact. Fitter again after 2 runs back from a break, he is a podium chance in a race where the minors look keenly contested.

THE RAGNBONE MAN (8) would be a good chance in this if drawn any other gate than what he has received. Down the line last start in a Gold Pot heat, if he can find open space in time, he is in with a chance.

SELECTIONS: SUNNY RICE (5), ITS YOU NOT ME (1), FRANCO NEVAEH (10), THE RAGNBONE MAN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-8-10

RACE FOUR

Stepping up to the 3YO Fillies consolation last start, BETTERTHANDIAMONDS (7) was sent to the front from gate 5 to set the tempo. Keeping it even the last 1200m, she was grabbed in the stretch, holding on to 4th. A passing lane 2nd the start prior, she can overcome the bad gate with her early speed and the return to the mile is a big plus.

FOREVER ROCKING (9) will appreciate the return to this company after taking on the Triad last start from gate 7. Snagged back to find the pegs and look for some short-cuts, she chased gamely when down the line behind FOND MEMORIES. If the speed is too strong, she can arrive over the top.

BLUE SHARD (3) will strip fitter following his latest offering when returning from a break. Sent in search of the front, he settled in the trail and wasn’t too far away. He can find the podium here.

MODERNDAY FALCON (2) was beaten by the gate last start when forced to restrain from gate 6 in a Gold Pot heat. He can look to fire the 1st shot here and be gripping on late

SELECTIONS: BETTERTHANDIAMONDS (7), FOREVER ROCKING (9), BLUE SHARD (3), MODERNDAY FALCON (2)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTERTHANDIAMONDS (7) to win

RACE FIVE

INVINCIBLE LOXTON (8)
is racing in great form, franking his efforts last start when spearing out to find the front from gate 4 over the 2138m. Keeping a strong tempo, he was able to stave off the closing shot of SLICE OF HEAVEN up the passing lane to score. With early options as the lone 2nd line runner, he can arrive again.

SPRING CAMPAIGN (4) found the right conditions at Redcliffe 2 starts back when pressing on from gate 5, he was able to take control and cruise home to claim a 12m victory in sharp time. Not far away last start when 2nd from the 2nd line, he can get forward here to throw out the challenge.

MONTANA CHIEF (5) secured a nice run in transit last start at Redcliffe before looking for a short way home. With all the power on up front, he was able to grab the silver, with some sharp closing splits. Cheap position can see him charge home here.

COLOMBIAN GOLD (1) led them up last start at Redcliffe and after walking them the opening 800m, was gunned down in the closing stages. With the benefit of the gate, she will be trying to fight them off.

SELECTIONS: INVINCIBLE LOXTON (8), SPRING CAMPAIGN (4), MONTANA CHIEF (5), COLOMBIAN GOLD (1)
SUGGESTED BET: INVINCIBLE LOXTON (8) to win

RACE SIX

FEELS LIKA WINNER (2) was forced to do it the tough way last start in the 3YO Fillies Triad Consolation, grinding it out from the breeze and hanging tough to hold 3rd behind A RAINBOW DIAMOND and WHICH HUNT. That followed a similarly tough run the start prior and with the chance to set the tempo here, can look to capitalise.

VANTORI HANOVER (5) eased from gate 5 last start in the Triad Final and was too far back to issue a challenge behind FOND MEMORIES. A Menangle winner at her previous 2 starts in succession when making a closing shot on each occasion to score, she might just need to do some work here.

THE HUMMER (8) doesn’t have any favours from this alley, yet he should appreciate this class of contest after finishing down the line behind GOVERNOR JUJON last start. Probing for openings, he can chime in.

TARGARYEN HANOVER (7) is another that faces the tough gate, but will find this a little more suitable. A Redcliffe winner 2 starts back via the passing lane, he is a podium chance in this.

SELECTIONS: FEELS LIKA WINNER (2), VANTORI HANOVER (5), THE HUMMER (8), TARGARYEN HANOVER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: FEELS LIKA WINNER (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

KILLARA KAOS (2) might not have the greatest of numbers next to his name, yet he strikes the right gate and opposition to turn that around. Not suited when wide off the track from a wide gate here 2 starts back, he was chasing against the tempo last start. Taking control here he can fight them off.

BEEF CITY BLAZE (1) settled in the pocket trail last start at Redcliffe and was able to grab the silver behind PACIFIC DRUMS, however may have lessened the margin if sighting space sooner. Not far away in tougher races than this, he should get the perfect trip and be ready to strike in the stretch.

ARTISTIC SAINT (8) was sent forward from gate 4 over the Redcliffe2040m last start and was grinding it out when down the line behind BLUE MOON RISING. With an easy trip he can chime in.

AQUA CRUISER (10) was at big odds last start and didn’t disgrace himself when 10m from the winner THE CRUISE MISSILE. Still searching for his 1st victory “in town” he is an inclusion for the multiples.

SELECTIONS: KILLARA KAOS (2), BEEF CITY BLAZE (1), ARTISTIC SAINT (8), AQUA CRUISER (10)
SUGGESTED BET: KILLARA KAOS (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

Heats for this Final were held last Friday where BETTATHANIDEAL (5) started from a 2nd line gate when finishing 3rd to MONTANA LAD. Just momentarily hemmed in when needing the space, he was strong to the line in the closing stages. Fitter for the run after 2 starts back from a break, he can open his Aus account here.

MONTANA LAD (6) made the most of a good gate in his heat when pouncing on the poles, controlling the tempo and putting it beyond doubt with a 27.5 closer to keep them chasing in the stronger of the 2 heats. A beaten fav the start prior when working hard in the breeze, he doesn’t have any favours from the gate, but is starting to put it al together.

SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (10) settled a long way back from this same gate when hitting the line strongly to grab the bronze, 4m in arrears of the winner. With the right cart home, he is a podium chance.

SHEZ ALL STYLE (1) was the winner of the other heat when settling in the pocket trail and making the closing shot a winner up the passing lane. With the options from the gate, she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: BETTATHANIDEAL (5), MONTANA LAD (6), SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (10), SHEZ ALL STYLE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTATHANIDEAL (5) to win

RACE NINE

ARK ME (3) should appreciate the return to this grade after taking on the 4YO mares Triad Final last start. Landing the extreme gate in that race, she was sent to the pegs in search of short-cuts and some luck. Only a neck in arrears 2 starts back over the 2040m at Redcliffe, this is within reach.

LAUGHING EMOJI (9) took on a strong mares race last start when forced to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way when not far away behind DEMETER. Too strong out in front over the 2138m the start prior, she can get the right early trail to settle handy here and throw down a big challenge.

OASIS DREAM (2) is racing in nice touch, with a win over the mile here 3 starts back. Sent to the pegs last start and buried in the run, it was a sound effort. He can take an early shot here and has place claims.

IDEAL TIGER (6) is racing in great form, however doesn’t receive any favours from the wide gate here. Only a head away last start when finding the line strongly, look for him swooping.

SELECTIONS: ARK ME (3), LAUGHING EMOJI (9), OASIS DREAM (2), IDEAL TIGER (6)
SUGGESTED BET:
