RACE TWO

KANYE CRUSADER (4) was huge in defeat 4 runs back when stuck in traffic before charging home wide out to be a neck in arrears of the winner. Chasing for the bronze when 5m from NIMAH FRANCO 2 starts back, he was too strong racing first over last start at the 2138m and can look for a repeat victory.

ETERNAL PROMISE (1) will take benefit from her latest outing when resuming from a spell. Settling in the 1x1 trail from the 2nd line, she could not go with them in a last panel blitz to be midfield. Only grabbed in the closing strides 2 starts back, from this gate she can get the trip to challenge.

AQUA MISS (2) has been in the money in 5 of her 6 starts here at the track and from this gate can close enough to the action to make a closing play. Hitting the line nicely last start, she will not be far away.

LIFES BLACK (6) has hit the board in two-thirds of his 30 outings here at his home track and was a winner here 5 runs back when defeating KANYE CRUSADER. Hitting the line smartly last start, he can chime in.

SUGGESTED BET: KANYE CRUSADER (4) to win

RACE THREE

SHORTYS MATE (2)
backs up from Tuesday where he held on for the bronze in a sizzling mile behind SAUCY DREAMS who carved out an electric 1.51.4 mile in front. Taken back from gate 5 in that contest, he was trying to make a closing play. With the chance to dart in behind the speed here, he can have the fresh legs at the end of the 2280m.

ROCKNROLL ICON (6) is 1 for 1 here on the track where he is trained and has ben a consistent performer since arriving in Qld. Asked to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way last start, he was game in defeat when 1m from TAROONA BROMAC. The gate stings but he can throw it down hard.

APHORISM (4) arrives for another Winter holiday for trainer Chris Frisby and comes into this battle with a last start 3rd over the Bathurst sprint trip behind FOUROEIGHT. Taking his first look at The Triangle, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: SHORTYS MATE (2), ROCKNROLL ICON (6), APHORISM (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

KATACHA MAN (3) was asked to hang tough when racing first over last start when tackling a 2138m qualifier. Fading over the latter stages, it followed a down the line effort where he struck trouble. He has proven tough to follow of late, but from this gate he can be close to the action and look to turn it around.

AQUA CRUISER (2) was a winner here 5 runs back when able to find the front and once in control took them all the way. Landing the 2nd line in all 4 runs since that victory, he was closing out in nice order last time out to get within a half-head of the winner. From the gate he looks to get a chance.

ROYAL OBSESSION (6) was snagged back from gate 7 over the AP mile last start and was looking for some luck when midfield to BARKWAY ARNOLD. 3rd to BIG WHEELS the start prior, he can chime in.

NO DOUBT (7) returned from a spell in a Trot Rods heat and settling at the rear proved that you can win over the scamper from 3 fence. Charging home to arrive, he will be searching for a similar finish.

SELECTIONS: KATACHA MAN (3), AQUA CRUISER (2), ROYAL OBSESSION (6), NO DOUBT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: KATACHA MAN (3) to win

RACE SIX

WHATTA GOOD REASON (7)
was sent to the post as fav last start at headquarters and from gate 4 needed to roll the sleeves and get in for the tough stuff. Unable to reel in the winner LAZY BLAZE, it followed a luckless effort as HES SWEET landed the prize. With the cosy trip, he can take the snipers shot.

LIVING GRAND (5) has been thereabouts in this grade of late with a win and 3 minors in his past 6 attempts. Pressing on to cut the breeze over the sprint trip last start, he was giving all the way to the wire when 1m in arrears. Not suited in the Trot Rods the start prior, the gate stings but he will challenge.

KWASII (1) fired off the arm from the three-hole last start over the AP mile and out in front was digging in for the fight. Beaten a half-head, he can fire the early bullets here to feature.

HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (8) settled in a rearward position from the 2nd line last start before hitting the line in smart order behind the white-hot fav VANISH HANOVER. Look for him making a closing play.

SELECTIONS: WHATTA GOOD REASON (7), LIVING GRAND (5), KWASII (1), HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: WHATTA GOOD REASON (7) to win

RACE SEVEN

FORTYFIVE ROCK (5)
was obliged to hang tough in the breeze last start and was in for the fight when only fading late to finish in 3rd. Working forward from gate 4 here 2 starts back, he found the space to drop in for the trail before finishing over the top. Pressing forward he can capitalise here.

BARBOO (2) has landed the 2nd line at his past 4 starts in succession, the latest when pegged away from the inside line. Looking to chime in when the gaps arrived, he was able to grab the bronze behind RANCHO MAN. With the improved alley, he can be close enough to make a challenge.

PATCHWORK JET (7) started from gate 9 last time out and had the race set up perfectly to sweep down the outside to claim the prize. Snagged back the start prior he will be probing for the gaps.

HURRIKANE SPECIAL (1) speared out to take control here last start and after a steady time in front was unable to finish them off. With the benefit of the gate, she will be trying to hold on again.

SELECTIONS: FORTYFIVE ROCK (5), NON PASSARE (8), PATCHWORK JET (7), HURRIKANE SPECIAL (1)
SUGGESTED BET: FORTYFIVE ROCK (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

THATS FUNNY (7)
was sent forward from the five-hole last start and racing first-over was required to work hard throughout. Holding on for a midfield finish, it followed a late closing 2nd after being buried in the run. She will need factors in her favour, but if they prevail, so can she.

TRENTLEIGH (1) resumes from a spell after fading at his last outing back ion February. With 2 preparatory trials in readiness for his return, the 2nd of those was a tidy hit out. With good early speed, he comes up with the right gate in a winnable contest to make a strong return to the track.

CHAMPAGNE REACTOR (9) has placed at her past 2 starts, the latest when working home soundly to grab the silver behind subsequent winner THEMIDNIGTRAMBLER. She can chime in late here.

HARRY CROFT (5) held the 1x1 trail last start but could not muster late as BRONSKI MACARENA landed the loot. They were too sharp in a Trot Rods heat 2 runs back, but he can improve in this.

SELECTIONS: THATS FUNNY (7), TRENTLEIGH (1), CHAMPAGNE REACTOR (9), HARRY CROFT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: THATS FUNNY (7) to win

RACE NINE

KENDYS BUTTERFLY (8) tackled the Marburg to Albion Series at her past 2 starts and progressed to the final after a gritty 3rd in the heat. Eased from gate 5 in the final, she was hitting the line in nice order to grab 4th in a nice run behind KAY NORA SHANNON. Despite the 2nd line, she finds conditions to float early and sting late.

QUICK STEP (7) tried to take them all the way 3 starts back over the AP mile and was in for the fight when grabbed in the closing stages to be a half-neck in arrears. On the short back-up from Wednesday night where she was sent to the post as fav but faded after a tough run, she will need to get away from the pegs here.

ATOMIC PETE (3) will be 2nd up from a spell after being banished to the trials after his 1st up run. Earning the return with a tidy hit out, he can secure early position here and has podium claims.

BUSTABALLOON (6) made an error 3 starts back yet recovered to chase hard and grab the silver. Following that with a maiden breaking win from the breeze, he again made an error last start. If the manners come to the track, he is place chance.

SELECTIONS: KENDYS BUTTERFLY (8), QUICK STEP (7), ATOMIC PETE (3), BUSTABALLOON (6)
SUGGESTED BET: KENDYS BUTTERFLY (8) to win
