RACE ONE

His numbers might not show the greatest figures, but the racing pattern of OUR BONDI BEACH (1) has not matched his barriers in recent starts. At his best when saved for a shot up the passing lane, he lands the ideal scenario for this contest and stalking the speed lands the chance to strike.

PARAVANI (4) fired out from gate 3 here last start and setting the speed in this same grade was gunned down in the closing stages to be 5m in arrears of the winner. Beaten by a second line gate the start prior, he can fire off the arm to take control and will be gripping on in the stretch.

BEAU CISHLOM (5) stepped it out early before taking the trail last week and following the cosy trip behind the speed, made a closing play to get within a half-neck of the winner. He is in the mix.

STREITKID (8) will be needing a slice of luck at some stage to see space from the gate where he looks set to be buried in the run. Finding the trail from gate 5 last start, he will be probing for an opening.

SELECTIONS: OUR BONDI BEACH (1), PARAVANI (4), BEAU CISHLOM (5), STREITKID (8)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR BONDI BEACH (1) to win

RACE TWO

After three successive wins heading into his last assignment WATTS UP SUNSHINE (10) was beaten by the gate as ADAM CROCKER dictated it in front. Sent to sit parked outside the eventual winner after starting from gate 7, the sizzling mile took a toll as he faded. He can bounce back hard here.

JUDDY DOUGLAS (4) is in top form and a return to the front line looks a big plus after facing second line alleys at his past two starts. Powering up from gate 3 to take them all the way three starts back, his runs have been full of merit to place in both since and he can get forward to throw it down.

THE IDEAL DANCER (5) was sent forward to look for an all the way win over the mile trip here two starts back and was grabbed in the last strides. Rearward last start, he is a podium hope here.

REGULUS (1) was a winner at the mile three starts back when easing into the running line from gate 4 and then owning superior closing speed. Tucked away for this, he can look to take a closing shot.

SELECTIONS: WATTS UP SUNSHINE (10), JUDDY DOUGLAS (4), THE IDEAL DANCER (5), REGULUS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: WATTS UP SUNSHINE (10) to win

RACE THREE

Never in danger last start when pouncing on the poles and leading throughout, HEMSWORTH (2) kept it rolling to zip home in 27.1 for an effortless victory. Beaten by a wide gate at Redcliffe the start prior, this is a strong race but from the gate he looks set to give them something to chase.

KASHED UP (8) will be requiring a slice of luck from this alley as he looks in danger of being buried away. Runner-up in both runs since resuming form a spell, he was beaten by gate 7 first up and then was within 1.5m last start as ADAM CROCKER put on a power running display. He will be probing.

MANILA PLAYBOY (6) returns from a spell, sent for a break after going under deep into the red last start back in January. Too classy the start prior, which was in a 3YO event back in December, he opened the pipes with a handy trial and cannot be overlooked.

FLYING ART (3) is in search of a hat-trick of wins after leading them all the way last time from gate 1 in a new career PB. Sprinting hard to arrive after being hemmed away two back, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: HEMSWORTH (2), KASHED UP (8), MANILA PLAYBOY (6), FLYING ART (3)
SUGGESTED BET: HEMSWORTH (2) to win

RACE FOUR

The barrier draw has really thrown this open wide-open with the main players all wide or off the second line. Following his track-record breaking effort last start, BLACKSADANCE (9) will not get the chance to do it front this time but can look to charge home here. His efforts prior to the new record last start were slick and he can arrive.

SPEECH IS SILVER (6) has no favours from the wide alley and was a victim of the gate when midfield in the 1.50 mile behind BLACKSADANCE after copping the outside front line. Needing the gaps sooner here two runs back, he has the versatility to look to defy the gate.

CRUNCH TIME (7) made the most of his opportunity last week when finding the front from gate 4 to take them all the way. Gate 10 was his undoing the start prior and despite the tough gate, he can press on.

IT AINT THE MONEY (4) was luckless here last week when buried in the run and searching for an opening that never arrived in time, he was able to charge home when the gap presented. He has the early bullets to fire here.

SELECTIONS: BLACKSADANCE (9), SPEECH IS SILVER (6), CRUNCH TIME (7), IT AINT THE MONEY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BLACKSADANCE (9) to win

RACE FIVE

MISDEMEANOR (8) was angled to the poles here last start from the second line and despite being hemmed away when the gap opened, she hit the line in smart order to garb 3rd behind WHICH HUNT. Hitting the line in nice order the start prior, she can be tucked in behind ready to snipe.

WHICH HUNT (1) pounced on the poles from gate 4 here last week and once in control was able to keep them chasing and see it out for a narrow victory. Placed in both runs prior, she was building towards a win and with the gate to look to dictate again here, will be gripping on in the stretch.

PELOSI (10) has no favours from this alley but a return to facing her own sex should help. Beaten by gate 7 after retreating to find position last start, she can get into the contest to feature here.

WITH THE BAND (7) should take good benefit from her last start where she was resuming from a break after joining the Garrard stable. The gate stings but she can be making a late play.

SELECTIONS: MISDEMEANOR (8), WHICH HUNT (1), PELOSI (10), WITH THE BAND (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MISDEMEANOR (8) to win

RACE SIX

A winner in a second division FFA four starts back, WILL THE WIZARD (6) has copped a trio of tough draws in the three runs since. Closing out in nice style two runs back behind DEUS EX, he again has a tricky gate but under the conditions, he looks to be well placed to overcome the impediment.

BITCOIN (7) is flying at present but will need to be at his best from this horror alley. Charging home form deep in the pack after retreating from this same gate last week to grab 3rd, that effort had followed a tidy 3rd in FFA company. Despite the gate, he can look to make a play.

FEELINGFORARAINBOW (1) tackled the 2613m stand start at Redcliffe on Wed night and after stepping to the front, could not go with them late. Back to this level, the gate puts him in the mix.

COMMODORE JUJON (4) was beaten by the wide gate when retreating last week and from back in the pack was always facing a task as CRUNCH TIME controlled it in front. He has place claims.

SELECTIONS: WILL THE WIZARD (6), BITCOIN (7), FEELINGFORARAINBOW (1), COMMODORE JUJON (4)
SUGGESTED BET: WILL THE WIZARD (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

This looks an open mare’s contest with a number of chances where SOMEGIRLSOMEWHERE (4) might just be able to find the speed to lead and from the front would take some catching. Just 5m in arrears of the winner last start, she was beaten the same margin the start prior when never seeing space.

CLOWNS TOTHE LEFT (6) was well beaten at her first Qld appearance when down the line over the mile after settling back in the pack. Turning it around second up when sent to the front and leading throughout, she grabbed 3rd last start from the poles behind BONNIES A ROCKIN and looms large.

BEJIGGITY (8) is only lightly raced but has taken each step as presented at Redcliffe and is in search of three on the bounce at her first outing on the big deck. With a cosy trip on offer, she can join in.

CATCH PHRASE (5)
eased from this same gate last start to find the poles but could not get into the battle. Runner-up from the fence the start prior, finding position cheaply will be key.

SELECTIONS: SOMEGIRLSOMEWHERE (4), CLOWNS TOTHE LEFT (6), BEJIGGITY (8), CATCH PHRASE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SOMEGIRLSOMEWHERE (4) to win

RACE NINE

After a dominant performance first up in the Trotters Marathon three starts back, WATTS UP MAJESTIC (9) has been turned over as an odds-on favourite at his past two starts. Chasing for the silver last start, he made an error the start prior but with the right trip here can gain redemption.

VAN SANK (5) has the gate to capitalise here with his main dangers both starting off the second line. A winner at his past three in succession, he found the pocket trail last start over the mobile mile and then had the closing speed to put them away. Settling near the action can see him challenge.

SIR FAHRENHEIT (11) resumes from a spell and goes in search of three successive wins after claiming victory at the mile and then 2138 at his two runs prior to the break. He is in the mix fresh.

KAR MANOR (1) faces a rise in class for this battle but importantly lands the alley. Taking them all the way two starts back, he made an error at the tapes last time with the mobile conditions suiting.

SELECTIONS: WATTS UP MAJESTIC (9), VAN SANK (5), SIR FAHRENHEIT (11), KAR MANOR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: WATTS UP MAJESTIC (9) to win

RACE TEN

This is a great example of the depth in the Qld 3YO ranks when arguably 4 of the top 5 are missing and yet we still get this level of quality. Resuming from a spell BANGKOK DEEJAY (3) looked sharp in a recent trial and after a smart passing lane win in a one start campaign last time, he can arrive.

GOTTA GO MILKING (6) was sent on an early move from gate 9 to sit parked outside I AM SPARTA last week where he sat quiet through the early and middle stages. Looming in the stretch and set to go straight past, the leader drifted up and he lost all his momentum and had to be content with 2nd in the steward’s room. Despite the gate he can throw it down again.

DELIGHTFUL LOU (7) faces the wide gate as she backs up from a determined mid-week win where she sat parked and grafted out a gritty win. Big in defeat two starts back, she is right in the fight.

I AM SPARTA (4) will be backing up from Thursday night where he looks to get every chance. He has appeared to get every chance his past two however, losing it on protest last week.

SELECTIONS: BANGKOK DEEJAY (3), GOTTA GO MILKING (6), DELIGHTFUL LOU (7), I AM SPARTA (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BANGKOK DEEJAY (3) to win
