RACE ONE

A tricky race opens the nine-race programme, where there might just be a few chance their arm early. Relying on some factors to fall his way, if BOMBADIER JUJON (8) lands leaders back, his stocks will rise exponentially. He just cannot catch a break this campaign and while he will once again be relying on others, he is worth the ticket.

MISDEMEANOR (1) was tucked in behind the leader from inside the second line last start and just lost enough momentum behind the tiring leader before the lane presented. Winding up to be just a neck in arrears of the winner, she has the speed to keep them wide and can try to pinch it in front.

SAVING MAJOR PERCY (4) rolled forward from this gate two starts back to sit parked and was able to dig in for the fight to score a gritty victory. Gate 6 was his undoing last start, and he has claims.

GLENLEDI BOY (9) was buried three back along the inside here two starts back and without going around a runner, sliced through to claim a qualifying victory. With the right trip, he can make a play.

SELECTIONS: BOMBADIER JUJON (8), MISDEMEANOR (1), SAVING MAJOR PERCY (4), GLENLEDI BOY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: BOMBADIER JUJON (8) to win

RACE TWO

Resuming from a spell last week, the first up effort from MANILA PLAYBOY (3) was the best run of the night when overcoming gate 6 to score. Retreating early to find the running line, he was still last between turns but exploded to the wire when wide off the track in a slick close-out. Fitter from that run, he can tuck in behind and repeat the effort.

SPORTY DANCER (1) returns to Qld to the stables of Shannon Price after a successful sojourn in the Winter of 2021 where she claimed the South East Oaks. Fitter again after three runs back from a spell, she sizzled up the Wagga stretch to score last start with a sub 27 closing panel. With all the options, she will throw it down.

JUDDY DOUGLAS (4) showed his appreciation of the front line here last week when sent to light the lamps from gate 3 over the 2138m trip. Fighting hard, he held on for 3rd when 4m in arrears with a return to the mile in his favour.

WATTS UP SUNSHINE (5) had to grind it out when sitting parked last start after being sent to the post as fav where he had to settle with 4th. A torrid trip when parked in a sizzling mile the start prior, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: MANILA PLAYBOY (3), SPORTY DANCER (1), JUDDY DOUGLAS (4), WATTS UP SUNSHINE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MANILA PLAYBOY (3) to win

RACE THREE

What a cracking race for the re-introduction where the 5 big guns are all last start winners that all look classy enough to score, yet 4 of those 5 have never tackled the AP 2138m. DANGERZONE (10) should move into barrier 9 without the emergency and will be fresh after successive wins at Redcliffe back in March. He gets the chance to descend on them.

SPEAK THE TRUTH (3) has taken every step as presented since returning for his 3YO season, going 4 from 4 thus far with a pair of wins on The Triangle followed with a pair here on the big deck. In cruise control to claim an 11m margin from the front last time, he can press the button and if he finds the front, will take some stopping.

TEDDY DISCO (4) could not have been any more impressive than his return run when stepping out for the first time since November with an effortless all the way victory. Zipping home a 55.8 closing half without being asked, early mapping could have a big influence.

BANGKOK DEEJAY (9) will likely move into gate 8 and from there will be buried in the run and requiring a huge slice of luck. Grafting out a smart first over win last week when resuming, he has the speed if the gaps arrive in time.

SELECTIONS: DANGERZONE (10), SPEAK THE TRUTH (3), TEDDY DISCO (4), BANGKOK DEEJAY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: DANGERZONE (10) to win

RACE FOUR

He competed in some of the biggest races during last year’s Constellations Carnival as a 3YO and the now 4YO CAPTAIN CRUSADER (2) returns for another campaign. He brings a commanding last start victory when putting them away over the Menangle Mile and he should be far too classy for these.

FOND MEMORIES (1) was chasing in vain last start as WILL THE WIZARD carved it out in front. Hitting the board in 7 of her previous 8 starts for the season, she chased hard for 3rd to TOMMY LINCOLN two starts back and with the cosy trip in behind the speed, can look to hold the silver.

BITCOIN (7) is having no luck landing a marble, copping gate 7 for the third time in his past four starts. Finishing off strongly on each occasion after retreating, he can be chiming in late again.

COMMODORE JUJON (8) was asked to sit parked outside WILL THE WIZARD last start with the tough trip taking the toll. Tucked away on the poles to take the shortcuts can see him in the money here.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN CRUSADER (2), FOND MEMORIES (1), BITCOIN (7), COMMODORE JUJON (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 2 / 1-7-8

RACE FIVE

The best two fillies in this race both draw outside the second line in a race where none of the 12 combatants can boast a win over the AP 2138m of this contest. CAT KING COLE (13) got it all wrong when resuming in an APG prelude but quickly bounced back in the Final with an effortless win from gate 7. The gate is no luxury but third up she can look to flex some muscle.

RACY ROXY (12) sat back in the pack from gate 10 last start and when asked for the effort was able to chase them down and arrive for a narrow victory. Grabbing 3rd despite being slammed with gate 7 the start prior behind SPEAK THE TRUTH, she will be looking to gain the cart into the contest.

BEJIGGITY (3) tackled a mare’s qualifier last start when chasing a hat-trick of victories. Closing out hard in the stretch, she was just an eyelash shy of the prize. Back to her own age can see her feature.

GOLDIES A DELIGHT (5) claimed a narrow victory three starts back when having her first tun back in Qld following the NSW Oaks. Never in the call at her next start from gate 7, she was a beaten fav last time but should appreciate the middle trip.

SELECTIONS: CAT KING COLE (13), RACY ROXY (12), BEJIGGITY (3), GOLDIES A DELIGHT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: CAT KING COLE (13) to win

RACE SIX

After a smart win when charging home over the top of them in the closing stages at the mile to take a mid-week event two starts back, AIR TIME (9) stepped up to a Saturday night contest over this trip last time. From gate 11, he was saved for one crack and was the widest runner when hitting the line in nice order. If the 5 is vulnerable at the trip, he can arrive.

HEMSWORTH (5) took control over the mile last start from gate 2 with a 27.5 opening panel, backed it off in the 2nd split, then dialling it up to 27.8 down the back. Out of bullets turning for home, he faded to 4th as MANILA PLAYBOY sailed home. Runner-up to BIG WHEELS at this trip when locked away, the middle trip is asking some questions.

MONGOLOAN CONQUEROR (1) eased from gate 4 last start to the running line but could not go on with it in the closing stages when down the line behind AIR TIME. The improved gate is a big plus.

FALCONS (4) has been runner-up in 5 of 7 at the middle trip but is yet to cash-in for a victory. From the pocket trail last start over this trip, he was making a late dive up the passing lane that landed a pimple short. He can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: AIR TIME (9), HEMSWORTH (5), MONGOLOAN CONQUEROR (1), FALCONS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: AIR TIME (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

This fillies division of the Breeders Classic looks a wide-open contest where EMPRESS BYELINE (6) can be the one. Taking them all the way to claim a maiden breaker at her second career start, she then did not have the smoothest passage last start. With a slick trial to blow out the cobwebs, she looks up to the task.

FOXI FIVE (10) has not been seen since breaking through here back on April 12 where she was able to take control early and hold on to claim a half-neck victory. Runner-up at her second career start when settled in the trail and finishing 1m from the winner. The gate stings but she can challenge.

MULLUM RUBY (4) tackled the APG Bullions Final two starts back and was picking off some nice metres in the closing stages for 2nd to the smart AURORA JOY. Luckless last start when hemmed away on the poles, she can make a play.

THE GROGMOTHER (2) opened her account last start when taking control from gate 1 and fighting them off to hold a 1m margin. Only missing the board once in four starts, she looks the leader and will be gripping on.

SELECTIONS: EMPRESS BYELINE (6), FOXI FIVE (10), MULLUM RUBY (4), THE GROGMOTHER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: EMPRESS BYELINE (6) to win

RACE NINE

After a dominant performance first up in the Trotters Marathon three starts back, WATTS UP MAJESTIC (6) has been turned over as an odds-on favourite at his past two starts. Chasing for the silver last start, he made an error the start prior and with just the 10m to overcome here, should be too classy.

MORE SHADES OF GOLD (4) was locked away last start under mobile conditions and did not have the smoothest passage when midfield to VAN SANK. Not too far from that same winner three starts back over this trip, his manners will be all important and a safe start will give him a challenging hope.

TAM OSHANTER (3) has been doing plenty wrong in his races since resuming from a spell, finishing down the line in all six starts. That followed a streak of six successive wins. If he gets it right, he can be in the money.

MELPARK MAGIC (1) could not chase from the 30m tape last start and was beaten the handicap behind RILEY MOMENT here on Tuesday. 10m from GARLAND GREENE two starts back, the inside lane helps.

SELECTIONS: WATTS UP MAJESTIC (6), MORE SHADES OF GOLD (4), TAM OSHANTER (3), MELPARK MAGIC (1)
SUGGESTED BET: WATTS UP MAJESTIC (6) to win
