RACE ONE

GLENLEDI COMMANDER (1) started from inside the second line last start over the mile at headquarters where he was soon locked away in the run. Searching for a way clear when not too far from them, it followed a luckless effort from gate 5. With the gate advantage, he gets his chance.

HES SWEET (4) started from outside the front line in a field of 6 last start and after rolling across to have a look was forced to snag back to the rear and was a long way off the leader as the field stretched out in single file. Hitting the line in smart fashion for 2nd, he can throw it down here.

LORIMER LADY (8) sat in the 1x1 trail last time out where she owned superior closing speed to finish over the top of them. With a similar trip, she can be ready to make a closing play.

MISTER HART (5) took out a Trot Rods heat last start when continuing to drive to the wire and arrive for a tidy win. The wide gate dents his hopes here with good speed inside.

SELECTIONS: GLENLEDI COMMANDER (1), HES SWEET (4), LORIMER LADY (8), MISTER HART (5)
SUGGESTED BET: GLENLEDI COMMANDER (1) to win

RACE TWO

UNCLE LUKEY (7) will be relying on some factors to fall his way, but his recent form has been against stronger opponents than he will meet here. Beaten by gate 7 over the AP sprint trip last start and forced to retreat, the start prior he bumped into the flying CLASSIE WASHINGTON. He can snipe.

SO KOOL MASTER (2) held on for the bronze three starts back over the AP mile after taking the trail from gate 1 as FLYING ART scored. Last start he was sent straight to the front from gate 1 and took them all the way in a smart win. He can force the issue here to stake his claim.

POLKA DOT DANCE (1) returned from a spell last start at Menangle when showing early hustle from gate 3 but was soon shuffled back and was well covered. With the options, she can feature.

VOODOO FELLA (5) has some mixed numbers this campaign, his latest outing when trailing them home from the pocket trail. The gate stings but he can be sharper here.

SELECTIONS: UNCLE LUKEY (7), SO KOOL MASTER (2), POLKA DOT DANCE (1), VOODOO FELLA (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-5-7

RACE THREE

OLIVER WINKLE (3)
was last seen from gate 5 at Marburg where he covered plenty of ground searching for position. A second line gate the start prior, also at Marburg made it tough as he was again wide and chasing. He can look for the poles here and in front finds the right race to capitalise.

YARRAMANS SHADOW (1) started from gate 1 last start at The Creek where he secured the pocket trail but could not sprint with them up the stretch. Snagged back to the tail the start prior, he is yet to really show his best, but finds the right race to turn his fortunes around.

MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (5) eased from gate 4 last start before finding the line in nice order to grab the bronze. With a smart trial on Thursday where he was strong to the line, he can chime in here.

GOSLING IN FLIGHT (4) was asked to do it the tough way last start when sent to race first over and after the tough trip held on to finish midfield. He might just have to do the work again.

SELECTIONS: OLIVER WINKLE (3), YARRAMANS SHADOW (1), MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (5), GOSLING IN FLIGHT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: OLIVER WINKLE (3) to win

RACE FOUR

BUKTHYSTEM (9)
settled in the running line last start from gate 2 and when the filed sorted order, he was back in the pack. Making a move at the 600m, he loomed up strongly wide out and grabbed the bronze when 6m from the winner ROCKNROLL DA GAMA. With the right trip, this is within reach.

WHATA CHALLENGE (1) was a winner here four starts back when finding the 1x1 trail from the second line and fishing hard over the top to score. Placed at his next two starts, he looks set for an economical trip and can be ready to strike in the stretch.

PURPLE SHADES (4) is moving closer to another win after placing in three of his past five, the latest when runner-up to JOHNROD when trying to make closing ground. He can be thereabouts again.

MY SECRET BEACH (3) overturned a long winless streak here last start when swooping in the closing stages to claim a half-neck margin. With the winning confidence, he can feature again in this line up.

SELECTIONS: BUKTHYSTEM (9), WHATA CHALLENGE (1), PURPLE SHADES (4), MY SECRET BEACH (3)
SUGGESTED BET: BUKTHYSTEM (9) to win

RACE FIVE

CANNAN (8) was angled to the poles last start from gate 8 and searching for short cuts was making some closing metres. Gate 6 was his undoing the start prior, while three back he grabbed a 3rd in a Trot Rods scamper. Pressing through at the start to settle handy, he might just pinch an open affair.

PENULTIMA (9) will be having her 2nd start since arriving in Qld, following on from her 2nd over this trip last start. Eased from gate 6 in that event, she was making some nice metres over the closing stages to be within 4m of the winner A GOOD IDEAL and with the cart home can challenge.

GHOST GUM (3) eased from gate 5 last start and was soon at the rear of the pack and unable to work into the contest. Settling closer to the action from this gate can see him in the mix.

TALEGGIO (2) makes his first Qld appearance for Ricky Gordon, arriving with a win drought that extends over 12 months. A beaten fav at Tamworth two starts back, he has the gate to feature.

SELECTIONS: CANNAN (8), PENULTIMA (9), GHOST GUM (3), TALEGGIO (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

JOHNROD (6)
just keeps grinding it out in his races and has had a top season where he has hit the board in 11 of 13, which includes 4 wins. Sitting parked last start, he kept grafting away to claim the prize which followed a tough trip when 2nd here two back. Despite the gate he can put it to them.

DARBY BRIGHTS (9) was sent to the post as favourite from this same gate last start in a slighting stronger contest where she was able to finish midfield, 6m from the winner LEFT IN THE WIND. Asked to do it tough the start prior, this is within reach, and she can throw down a challenge.

FEEL THE THRILL (8) could not find position last start and was forced to retreat from gate 4 and from back in the pack never featured. Pressing through at the start, he has podium claims.

NOLONGA YOUR CHOICE (3) does not have much in figure form to gain a solid recommendation, but with his early speed, he can dart across here and with limited pressure can give some cheek.

SELECTIONS: JOHNROD (6), DARBY BRIGHTS (9), FEEL THE THRILL (8), NOLONGA YOUR CHOICE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: JOHNROD (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

BETTOR KEEP ROCKING (2)
will take further benefit from his latest offering when second up from a spell where he was making some closing ground to be 7m from subsequent winner BATMAN BART. Just a half-head away at his first up outing, he lands the gate to capitalise.

SAMMYS SECRET (4) broke through to open his account here two starts back after knocking on the door for some time. Only beaten a head last start when looking to go back-to-back, he can roll forward from this gate to throw down the challenge.

FEELIN FLIRTY (6) has placed at his past two starts, the latest when securing the trail from gate 3 and finishing just 2m in arrears of the winner. The gate stings but he can be making a closing play.

ELLA UNDER FIRE (7) took the trail from gate 1 last time out and held on for the silver in the small field behind JACOBS THUNDER. With the soft trip again, she can be looking for space to chime in.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR KEEP ROCKING (2), SAMMY SECRET (4), FEELIN FLIRTY (6), ELLA UNDER FIRE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTOR KEEP ROCKING (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

CIRCLE LINE (6)
has no favours from the outside paint, yet his recent performances against some stronger opposition hold him in good stead to deliver the prize. Basked to graft it out first over last time, he was in for the fight when just 4m away. A passing lane 2nd to the flying TEACHERS PET four starts back, he is up to the task.

BETTERTHANTORQUE (1) will be looking to overturn an extended winless streak that date back to November 2020. Her last start effort was a tidy run when making good ground over the closing stages to grab the silver and with early speed will have the available options to make a challenge.

PAGEANTRY (2) eased to the pegs form gate 3 last start to look for the short cuts but could not go with them over the closing stages. Struggling to show his best, he gets a chance in this to resurrect some form.

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (9) will take some further benefit from his latest outing where he was second up from a spell. Returning when not too far from the winner LORD DENZEL, he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: CIRCLE LINE (6), BETTERTHANTORQUE (1), PAGEANTRY (2), BEEF CITY STARZZZ (9)
SUGGESTED BET: CIRCLE LINE (6) to win
