RACE ONE

DEAD SET CRAZY (4)
was faultless in his victory here two starts back, trotting cleanly and never in danger in claiming a 15m winning margin. Last week he threw it away soon after the start and was never a factor. If he brings the best version, he can gain redemption.

NORTHERN HEIGHTS (3) was the opposite of DEAD SET CRAZY, getting it all wrong in debut two starts back and then here last week, looked the professional in stepping cleanly, putting up a 32m margin and going within fractions of the age record.

JUSTABITLIKESULLY (1) has placed in his two career starts but will need to be a little sharper at the start here.

PINNIE (2) grabbed 3rd on debut here last week behind NORTHERN HEIGHTS and will benefit from the experience.

SELECTIONS: DEAD SET CRAZY (4), NORTHERN HEIGHTS (3), JUSTABITLIKESULLY (1), PINNIE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: DEAD SET CRAZY (4) to win

RACE TWO

Facing the 50m impost last start, INSTANT DELIGHT (8) was hitting the line in smart fashion to be just out of the money. Responsible for a huge run two starts back when beaten an eyelash, the conditions of this race and the small field look to set it up perfectly.

SUPPLANTER (5) faced the 20m impost when making some late metres last start behind NATTY PAGGER. Yet to hit the board in four appearances here in Qld, this looks the right set up for him to chase some money.

PANDA FOOEY (2) was first up from a break last start when making errors and finishing near the rear of the field. Trialling to erase the stand down embargo, he can chime in off the front tape.

MY RUMOUR HAS IT (9) returns from a spell after her last appearance in late December. Runner-up here three starts back, the smaller field helps her podium chances fresh up.

SELECTIONS: INSTANT DELIGHT (8), SUPPLANTER (5), PANDA FOOEY (2), MY RUMOUR HAS IT (9)
SUGGESTED BET: INSTANT DELIGHT (8) to win

RACE THREE

Starting his Aus career in the perfect manner when claiming a victory from the 30m tape, GUS (10) is forced back another 10 and will again have to negotiate a capacity field. Taking the traffic issue out of play first up when sent to the front and claiming a 6m margin, he can look for the repeat.

EN MASSE (1) was safely off the tapes last start and from the front released to the fav GUS and followed him home to hold 2nd. Buried in the run two starts back when 7m from the winner NATTY PAGGER, with another safe getaway, she can  be in position to issue a challenge.

WEWILLSEEHOWWEGO (2) was second up from a spell last start when trotting cleanly in behind the speed when finishing a 7m 3rd to GUS. Tightened from the run, he can feature again here.

THE REAPER (5) ended a four-start placing streak last time out when sitting parked and fading a midfield finish behind GUS. Just 4m away two starts back, he can look to bounce back.

SELECTIONS: GUS (10), EN MASSE (1), WEWILLSEEHOWWEGO (2), THE REAPER (5)
SUGGESTED BET: GUS (10) to win

RACE FOUR

Moving forward to the 10m tape is in the favour of RILEY MOMENT (7) after last start she was left exposed and working hard from the 20m. Striking trouble the start prior in a strong Saturday night contest, four runs back she was just a half-neck away. A safe start can see her capitalise.

KAR MANOR (11) was safely away here last week and saved for the closing raid, let down strongly and was able to hold them off to claim a 2m margin. His staring manners are always a risk and two runs back that was evidenced with an early error. If he steps cleanly, he can again challenge.

NORTIE NORTIE (12) was a winner here two starts back from the 10m tape after settling handy in the run and then sweeping past to an effortless victory. Doing his best work late last start, he can chime in.

GLOBAL FLIGHT (13) was resuming from a spell over the 2647 last time out and from the 20m it was a tidy return when midfield behind NORTIE NORTIE. With the added fitness he can feature.

SELECTIONS: RILEY MOMENT (7), KAR MANOR (11), NORTIE NORTIE (12), GLOBAL FLIGHT (13)
SUGGESTED BET: RILEY MOMENT (7) to win

RACE FIVE

Second up from a spell last time out in the ‘boys’ 3YO Breeders Consolation, JAKKI MUN (4) was charging home in the closing stages to finish 2m in arrears of the winner CARTER GRANT. Beaten by the wide gate over the 2138 the start prior, he can tuck in here and look to descend on them.

IMA BIRUBI BOY (3) was runner-up from the second line over the 2040 two runs back at Redcliffe and last start was the bridesmaid again when 2m from GO THE RED over the flying 947. Back to the mile from this gate, he can press the button early to find position and issue a challenge.

ROLLONX (1) has been hitting some good areas in recent starts, the latest when claiming a Trot Rods contest. Taking them all the way at Redcliffe three starts back over 1780, he has the gate to feature.

OUR UNCLE NEV (8) fired off the arm from gate 2 at Redcliffe last start and from the front was able to grip on for a head margin. Doing it tough two starts back when parked, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: JAKKI MUN (4), IMA BIRUBI BOY (3), ROLLONX (1), OUR UNCLE NEV (8)
SUGGESTED BET: JAKKI MUN (4) to win

RACE SIX

Placed in all three career starts to date and drawn no closer than gate 6 in any of those, GEM PUNTER PETE (1) finally lands the marble to chase the maiden breaking victory. Doing his best work down the stretch last start in the Breeders Consolation when 2nd, he looks to get every chance here.

GUTSY GIRL (8) is a Trent Dawson trained debutant that has trialled in nice order in readiness for her first appearance. By Ohoka Punter, she draws to get the right trip first up and has claims.

CRUZ JOSHUA (4) landed the inside second line when on debut and was making some metres up the passing lane to grab the bronze. Settling handy to the action, he can be in the mix.

MILLIEWOOD (10) has placed in three of her five starts to date, the latest when beaten in red figures in the fillies Breeders Consolation. Gate 10 does her no favours here.

SELECTIONS: GEM PUNTER PETE (1), GUTSY GIRL (8), CRUZ JOSHUA (4), MILLIEWOOD (10)
SUGGESTED BET:  GEM PUNTER PETE (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

Making a winning start following her arrival in Brisbane, GLENROCK (2) has the gate to chase the perfect start and go 2 for 2. Spearing out to take them all the way in a Trot Rods scamper, she steps out to the 2138 here which poses the biggest query, as it will for the majority of this field.

SHEZ GOT BLING (10) has finished in the placings at her past two starts, the latest when 5m away from ROLLONX in a 947 Trot Rods sprint. Making late metres to grab the bronze behind MISS BAY KING COLE here two starts back, saved for a closing sprint, she is right up to the task.

WATERLINE (6) is taking her first look beyond a sprint journey as she chases what is proving an elusive 3YO victory. Placed in 7 of 10 for the term, the wider gate does not help the cause.

HEAVENLY WISDOM (5) was sent forward from gate 6 last start at Redcliffe and doing the work first over, wilted to the rear. Runner-up her previous two starts, she is a podium chance here.

SELECTIONS: GLENROCK (2), SHEZ GOT BLING (10), WATERLINE (6), HEAVENLY WISDOM (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEZ GOT BLING (10) win/place

RACE EIGHT

Working his way towards a victory with a pair of placings, MOSSDALE MAC (9) capitalised last start when pressing to the front from gate 3 over the sprint trip and once in control was able to take them all the way to a 4m margin. The second line makes it a little tougher, but he can look for the repeat.

HE SAID SHE SAID (1) is at his best when finding the fence and looks better suited than his last start when caught wide in a Trot Rods 947m event. Searching for gaps when holding 3rd at Redcliffe the start prior, he can burrow through and look to issue a challenge.

SOHO CASABLANCA (4) was chasing a hat-trick of victories here two starts back and bumped into WISPER A SECRET from a tough gate. Too far back last start, he can settle closer to feature here.

WINDY HILL WALLY (8) faced gate 6 last week in the same contest as MOSSADALE MAC when eased off the arm and looking to make ground in the closing stages. With the soft trip he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: MOSSDALE MAC (9), HE SAID SHE SAID (1), SOHO CASABLANCA (4), WINDY HILL WALLY (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

A wide open veterans event where ROLL ONE OVER (1) secures the early advantage from this gate and can look to utilise the options on offer. Chasing from wide off the track last start in a handy effort behind MO SZYSLAK, he can get the right trip to take his shot here.

OUR MAJOR DAY (7) has been in super form and been doing it from tough gates as he lines up from the outside paint. Just fading in the closing stages last start after being sent to sit parked from, gate 6, he arrived two starts back from gate 10 over this trip. He can throw it down once again here.

HIPSTAR (12) faced this same gate and trip last time out and was attacking the line over the closing stages to be 2m in arrears. A winner three back, again from this gate at this trip, he is right in the fight.

KASH US BACK (2) made a mess of the start from inside the second line last time and was buried away when finishing midfield behind OLD LUKE. Runner-up in both prior attempts, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: ROLL ONE OVER (1), OUR MAJOR DAY (7), HIPSTAR (12), KASH US BACK (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

Still chasing his first win since arriving in Qld, LUKE JOHN (4) night just have found the right conditions to claim a breakthrough. Snagging off the arm last start, he was soon at the rear and forced work home wide off the track. Attacking the line strongly two starts back, he can arrive.

MO SZYSLAK (9) secured his first front line gate since arriving with the Butler stable last time out and was able to convert that into a victory after settling in the 1x1 trail. Just a neck away two starts back, he can be pressing through to hold position and look to issue the closing challenge.

HARRY KANE (1) should appreciate an improved gate after facing an extended run of wider or second line gates. Rattling home last start when 5m from CLASS TO THE MAX, he is in the mix.

FREDDY SINGH (7) is on the back-up from Saturday night where he tackled a strong qualifier claimed by TIMS A TROOPER after facing the outside second line. Despite the 7, he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: LUKE JOHN (4), MO SZYSLAK (9), HARRY KANE (1), FREDDY SINGH (7)
SUGGESTED BET: LUKE JOHN (4) to win

RACE ELEVEN

A tricky contest to close the card with several in-form runners to do battle. Runner-up last start ALTA MAGACIAN (5) found the front over the 2138 and was only collared in the closing strides. Beaten by the second line behind FOR REAL LIFE the start prior, he can look to get across and hold them off.

MISS BAY KING COLE (7) is afforded no favours from the outside paint as she looks top remain undefeated in Qld. Forcing the issue last starts to take control and fight them off for a 3m margin, where she positions in the run with speed underneath looks the biggest query.

GIRL FROM ROSEDALE (6) was hitting the line in smart order last start when 8m from TORQUE LIKE MOTION in the 3YO Fillies Breeders Final. With slick moves out of the machine, she is in the mix.

BRILLIANT ART (8) is chasing a hat-trick of wins after successive wins a the 2138. Rolling off the fence and then finishing them off last start, she will secure the soft trip and be searching for gaps.

SELECTIONS: ALTA MAGACIAN (5), MISS BAY KING COLE (7), GIRL FROM ROSEDALE (6), BRILLIANT ART (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ALTA MAGACIAN (5) to win
